The oldest written record of the use of LOL in the contemporary meaning of "Laughing Out Loud" was from a message typed by Wayne Pearson in the 1980s on the Usenet. Today, LOL almost means the antonym of its original use. And I also read it as "lol" (as a word, not letter by letter).

I use the Light Style, cannot stand white text on dark background (yeah, I know it's not so "gamers like", but neither am I) ... bue it's not like there is much to read now anyway, I just come by from time to time now ...

My ships, with a unique style btw, have no stacked elements. I never did that, nor I wanted to do. Still, hardly anyone bought any BPs - all in all I sold maybe 6 or so BPs. Apparently the stacked ones got sold like cakes. And that was the only thing which could interest ma at least a bit in the game (ship building), since everything else is meh .... I was waiting and hoping for it to change. It didn't. That's why I gave up, after 5 years. I cannot "leave" of course, since I am a Ruby Founder, but if this thing doesn't get completely overhauled or sold to a more capable developer, just as I said in my video, it will give its last breath rather sooner than later.

There is no sun. As for the rest: I am TIRED of hearing "ore", "mining", "asteroids", blabla .... all that sounds as if EVERYTHING ELSE in the game is already stellar. But there even is no game in the first place.

But that is actual WORK. The developers would have to actually DEVELOP, create planetary FEATURES that make SENSE. It is better to take the easy route in the form of a simple algorithm like "IF body = planet OR body = moon THEN SPAWN SAME CANDY EVERYWHERE" /s

I have checked every hour or so today since ca. 4:00am (that is 11 hours ago) and all the time, there were just 31 to 32 Users online, of which half were "Guests" without a specific location which means they are probably Crawler Bots - so, there are at any given time some 7 registered Users online and maybe just as many "guests". A forum which has at most 7 active users is not worth the webhosting cost. So, there is the chance for NQ to cut some more costs (i.e. the 5 dollars or so per month for the forum hosting) ....

But ... but ... that would mean the developers would have to actually develop and not expect players to do their job? .... /wink --- see my YT Video

I have suggested this many times over the years like in this post: But of course it all gets ignored. Boys just want to play the mining/money simulator and circle-jerk. As I said in my latest video: making money for the sake of making money - that's the whole game loop.

Yeah, I am all for that as well. I was more thinking of a need for shelter (for example from weather conditions), thus a place to rest and refill the energy, which in turn can be boosted by some food or drinks. And then maybe medicine as well (say after you fall down some 10m and are injured), which in turn needs ingredients to produce, and so on - just as I said, it would then all tie together nicely ...

No, I have not. I clearly said that apart from partial flight mechanics the rest seems nonsensical. That is also the sole reason I was able to hold on for so long, because I enjoyed building ships (unique, nice looking ships) and flying around in space. The "partial" comes into play when as I said there are flight mechanics, but other things related to them do not make much sense (like flying into space in an open cockpit, or the fact that you cannot use voxels to build wings/ailerons with functional lift, thus forcing you to use the boring looking elements which have remained the same SINCE PRE-ALPHA).

Sure, but what he is saying is that they actually are an organized lobby who DOESN'T CARE about the game. They only want to destroy stuff - so they bombard the Developers and push them to add more and more PVP features, but once the developer does this - they leave and go to the next game. So, the point is: they do not care about any other feature of the game and they do not care that by pushing their agenda they are actually destroying the game for everyone else.

Yes, yes I get it. But I saw the Thread in the General Forum where he wrote that we should post questions which will be answered in an Q&A. In that (original thread, this one here) there was no mention of Discord or link to the "announcement" thread or anything.
