  1. Our new guest > @facemywrath from [The Acquisitors] -- relativly small, but industrious organization with serious plans on profits, giant coffee-cups luxury market and and secret underground shelters: https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle/post/facemywrath-the-acquisitors Kurock ?? Also, about some plans (impromptu mode). Currently we working on 3 interviews (with some unxepceted turns!), so its a bit of fat chunk of content incoming this/next week, i'tll will be rather concentrated after slower period. Also, next couple of weeks we will be expanding on operations in support of civilization-building efforts of noveans, giving our humble (yet free and wholehearted) media support to community oriented projects, that will fire-up in Beta and support game, new players and our collective feel of more interesting world/gameplay. In particular: - starter ships devepoled by players catalogue; - every sort of neutral new player help/integration initiatives (without agressive recruiting); - events! - and things not yet obvious or invented, but too good to not support; Details on this soon ^ And we especialy happy to do (and continue!) callobarations with other in-game media, because we stong believers in "sticking together" in this not so easy quest free press. Thanks!
  2. What kind of projects you talking? What common noveans will get from such robin-hoodian endeavors? : )
  3. Hello everyone! We done another one, with @BiGEdge. We talked about gaming, DU potential and perspectives -- something BigEdge is very contagiously passionate! : ) Read it here: https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle/post/bigedge-red-dragons As always, thanks to Kurock, this one big chunk of text was heroic to proofread! Also, it may be interesting for you to check our collection of older interviews: https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle
  4. Fresh inverview with @ZarTaen from Hyperion, shipbuilding, science, experiments, organizational things and good news, that some good news, that your boots, clothing and hover-cycles in reletive safety ? https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle/post/zartaen-hyperion
  5. So! New one, with @Elias Villd, about himself, his unsual org, game potential and lot of interesting talk on Lua (casualy incluing automated killer ships). https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle/post/elias-villd-novalys It was possible with super-patient help of @KurockNotabi! Thanks! And we, to compensate little bit of of slacking, doing 2 more. Stay tuned!
  6. @TheSpartanCast, thanks! We are working : ) Next one in editing stage and if, everything goes well, will be ready-live by Fr or Sa. To be honest, start of the super-test little bit distracted both us and inverviees (we kinda hesitated to bother them first couple of test days). With this one in baking, we planing to do 3 during June.
  7. @pipestein, never late to try MC, but if you seriously go building, try some fancy textures and shaders, helps "modernize" visuals quite a bit. @CSSUcommand, well, build has complicated history, in short: 0) this is surv server; 1) several years of work, with pauses; 2) ~ 90% of project itself done by me in creative, 10% contributions of ther players; 3) on sever many people worked on resources and building, 6-8 very activly, 50 or so others done minor work/help at some point.
  8. Little bit of news about us too. 1) We steadly working on interviews with several new people/orgs (they on very different stages, because mostly real-world time constrains, schedules, things we must balance around) -- with some we just discussed possibility, with others preparing questions or finalizing other techical things. 2) We still "playing" with website, trying to imporve looks and comfort of reading for visitors. Feel free to give us feedback, if you particulary don't like anything. We have no illusions about our design skills. 3) Kurock now helping us with proofreading (seriously patiently, fighting with our attempts to de-proofread everything again). Thanks! Several other people also stated their wish to help, so we definitly can use it too! Thank you guys/gals.
  9. Thank you, guys! And also to people, who send us useful feedback on DIscord. We now little bit experementing with website looks, trying to balance our personal minimalistic preferences with some decorations for right mood. Also some changes with interview texts formating icoming (this is proven to be more complicated). About collaborations -- we are super-open for them, it will be very cool (and some ideas already brewing!), yet I feel we need some time to like "anchor" our boots to ground, sort and figure out things, before we ready to be reliable production partners to more experienced crews.
  10. Thanks, @DarkHorizon, we aiming more on "sustain" centered production, then immidiate bang-boom one, so I hope we conquer some space in your dragon skull with time ? Also! we added new obvious tab "Places to Visit" with links on other in-game community media projects. If anyone responsable for such projects wants their thing in -- just let us know.
  11. New Merovia Chronicle (NMC) -- independent media outlet covering events and personalities of Dual Universe. Our main focus -- extended interviews with players, secondary -- quick, entertaining (not that serious) news and featuring of interesting in-game projects. We see our mission in creation of diverse, conflicted, yet honest collective portrait of DU community, delivering it without prejudice and equal share of light. While our production is of humble kind (not everyone a native english speaker), we are always striving to improve and uphold the highest standards of journalist integrity. It means getting in trouble from time to time! Our website: https://dupress.wixsite.com/newmeroviachronicle Our Twitter: https://twitter.com/nmchro NM Chronicle team, In hope to bring you some enjoyment.
  12. Well you can add console players in some sort of restricted gameplay as primitive pre-space aliens, like evoks in SW living on some distant planet, playing gathering and basic craft. We can then disover them and hunt down for sport using keybords.
  13. I'm observing your activity for some time and must admin, I really enjoy quality of content. Its really something to take notice and use as positive exemple.
  14. I think theoreticly this is 100% possible/workable (as long fees are reasonable and reputation is upheld). Yet, it will be hard. Most painful challenge is obviously security -- such banks (literaly full of ore!) will be prime target for attack, both open highway/bank robbery and to inside infiltration with scammy mole-empoyees (this even worse, honestly). You really need to think about security protocols and safe systems like super hard, brainstorm it like hell. May be it will be good idea to have empoyees to give you their own ore as garantee, proportional of what they more or lese operate, so they have no profit at least stealing something directly. They can have it back when quit. And never give anyone withdraw rights for central depository (if its not like your real life friend), even if you think this is some really nice guy. People can wait for years to scam you in such games. So I wish you all possible luck to succed! I will be very glad to see it working.
  15. Yeah, I think it will be an option. Like you mine X amount of ore and org in exchange (such exchange rates can differ from org to org) gives you DAC. But as I can imagine, it will be quite a lot of work (not play).
  16. Hehehehe. You know what? @vertex and his frined @Armedwithwings really kindly hepled me with ship! Pimped it! Like in this TV show: And gread deal of nice advice about how to fly and update futher. Also special thanks to @vince_chicault for M vert. booster. So, I completly recomend this guys for doing buisness, they are trustworthy and great!
  17. Hey! @vertex, I ready to be your first alpha-test client! By my cursed hands I made worst ship in whole world and failed make it to fly so hardly, that i can't even see Elon Musk on TV anymore because of envy . What if you take it and copysomethingcat with it and make it so cool better copy, that they feature our joint creation on DU Twitter? I generaly as poor as church mouse, but can pay with crate or two of simple resources. Also you will aquire mightiest of friends.
  18. 1. No brainer -- more content regulary! 2. Special interview-only editorial column, this is always good read. 3. Personaly I like short stories, but may be pause little bit with them until game unfolds more (and more rich material or inspiration can be gathered). 4. For me -- no, english 100% is ok (and I'm not native en speaker). 5. Actual organizational news, this is hottest stuff as for me. 6. Moment in eternity of non-existence. 7. May be its time to locate more talented recruits, expand content production?
  19. They planning to lift NDA and go Beta by summer. Beta, I strongly suspect, will be not Beta in reality, but Soft Launch with no_more_wiping persistance and everyone start their buisness seriously. So, generaly, not much time left for burning out. ~ 120 days. This is not joke, indeed, but not an year either. Anyway, Aaron is deadly right about NDA thing -- puplicity/news/screenshots -- all that, is 200% critical in city-building. This is blood of whole process, as for already participation members, as for recruiting too. No sense in starting before NDA lift, expect some technical "prepare" stages (as its done now).
  20. Hello and welcome! I hope we can see you participating in hot topics regulary.
  21. Very pleasing to read! This kinda powering up my faith in humanity every time. This is right thing to do. If stars align right, one day I will be building city and I was thinking to make some sort of little "supply depot" and offer it for your organization to use. Here reserves of fuel and repair parts will be stored an maintained by city for your guys to resupply during emergency (if such need arise).
  22. In citybuilding main deciding factor of success is quality of build. Because yes, you can "steal idea" or "outpace" someone in terms of agressive recruiting, hype and kind of raw initial results... but in longterm if you are building cr*p and your adversary is casualy producing god-tier architechture -- its done. People not fools, they just see who is better. They love beutiful things and want to help build them, not slaving for some woodenhead, who is wasting their hard-earned material on titanic junk.
  23. City-building is my great passion, so I was twitching to make something more practical, then just talk. So, here my proposal for Tranquility build project. It may seems unorthodox, indeed. Here is main bullet points what and why. I base thing on my practical city-building experience in MC, where players tried to actualy live and produce things. 1) Looks like Tranquility in technical terms will be kind of largest available construct core -- cubic, generaly. So I used that space to maximum (without going full Borg). 2) People LOVE open spaces and communal sense, watching what others doing, and great view from window. In my disign everyone in city will have great view. In contrary -- coridors and closed space is BAD. Boring. 3) Open spaces makes great screenshot and PR material. Everyone flying around will momentaly see, that this is some kind of cool space city, not clumsy "compensation for something" ship with who knows what inside. 4) Super-easy-FAST landing-and trade, visitors can just drop ship on huge field and run fo stores on "ground level". 5) CIty warehouses and industy will be easly accesable in underbelly (from landing field). Also this underbelly can be safelty expanded/rebuild for actual needs, without compromising "upper city" more regulated and refined view. 6) Such location of private docks will allow people to have their super-ergonomicly ships generaly in 1 door from "flat". 7) This configuration also allow to save mass with minimal space and material waste on corridors. City parts can be connected with elevators, effective use of stairs and bridges, again far more interesting then endless corridors. And you can slap as many engines (if city on moving core) on back as needed, again, without bad consequences for looks. EVEN if used core size will not be so impressive (like devs setting hard limits), form will add visual volume . Effective use of space and material. Communal sense. Ergonomics in actual living and working inside. Easy for visitors. Great for Instagram.
