Well if you consider storing stuff in aphelia's garage is like renting a garage and putting your stuff in it. :)

Obviously :) but it is not very rewarding, its a punishment.

Instead perhaps have ships be repaired for free in garages, that way there is a reward and incentive to tug away your construct.

That is of cause just an example there are plenty of other ways i am sure.

  2. I would like to see cores go away completely so for static constructs you can just build anywhere on the tile you desire, right can be controlled from the tcu or with some new block specifically for access control, no need for those square restrains let the sandbox out.

Dynamic core should be change to be actually dynamic by growing as you build... dynamically... no need for all those cores. Simplify and streamline the blocks require and allow builders room to do more.

add structural integrity for shits and giggles when you do that double digit G turn in your stick ship

  3. @sHuRuLuNi the 2nd post by the thread starter specifically mentions water and food...

Any way Survival is a game genre frequently including aspects of food, rest, water and environment, so when that genre in invoked it is natural to think on food, water and so on.

It sounds like you referee mostly to environment which could use a boost, but some off it is good fun and should be allowed even encourage, like the space chair.

falling from space through atmo in your space suit, no so much.

  4. never would be my hope, Survival games are not fun. repeating the same life cycle over and over ad nauseam get old really fast.

On top of that it has taken NQ 5(more?) years to get where we are now, they like to make shallow punishing game play cycles, i cannot see how they in any way shape or form would be able to pull of survival elements in a good way

  5. wiping the servers solves nothing, casual player will always be behind those that are more dedicated or organizations, as it is suppose to be. just like new player will have less then one that is 1,2,3 years old.

key is it doesn't matter what others have, focus on what you have and can do and have fun.

but i agree, with the sentiment, the game sucks, i still come back from time to time, but now the game is even more like a second job, where you pay a subscription to be part of it...

  6. there are tons of spaces, literally 1 between each word.

(mark the text with the mouse as you read so you dont lose track, it is not that hard)

But the OP is right, the game pain full to play, so will DU make it, not at its current progress unless they have a money man their back pocket that sees it as his pet project.

  7. The game was marketed as and open skills games, so ofcause you can do everything, just not at once. This allows the player to try out all aspect of the game to it fullest and chose what ever they want on a given day.

What the OP seems to want is class based game, you know the same old paladin, wizard priest, we can call them miner, pilot and ceo. A system where you get locked in, unless you delete  your character and start over.

Open skill systems give the play options to do what they want, in a manner they want. But it is not for all players many prefer the more linear class based route

The calibration idea should just be flat out removed... its just grind for the sake of grind that no one enjoys.

I dont like being negative for the sake of negative though, so wondering what the aim of it was, and what other solutions could there be?

There is no aim for it as such, NQ just believe that punishment is something people like so that is what they do.

If they could have made it in to a carrot by allow the MU to function at 100% standard but 150% or higher calibrated.

Childish response to a good suggestion.

not really, this is what happens when workers are ignored repeatly, NQ could have the good coders but if you keep ignoring them you get a meeeh product.

    and a huge employee rotation.

personally i think the NQ work etich is "meeeeh good enough for now, it sort of work i fix it later" which would explain the errors we see

There is no need to group or join an org as you can do it all yourself.

There is no need to group as there is no real PvP or need for protection

There is no need to do anything with anyone else with the alts they handed out

There is no need to really do anything since there is no endgame type goal to work with others to achieve in content

perfect you can do what ever you want in what ever manner, shape or form you want.

    freeform openworld, yes please

  11. @Eternal you fail to understand the nature off open world games. Most do, don't worry.

EvE has tons of content, it is just created by players. but it only works for players that do not require fixed rails to lead them from point A to B.

You should try an embrace the open world, make your own content and ideas. You want pvp, just attack someone. You want a reason, they have two legs and looked at you funny.
