  2. I am happy with the new Lua changes, but a bit upset about the fact that we can't test it on a PTS session.

    Some scripts are very sensitive and may discourage many players if they stop working. There are several examples, but among there is a huge change that ArchHud won't work anymore and will generate a lot of stress among some players.

    Archegeo did an awesome job following the changes and testing them on PTS for the good of the community. He is not the only one in this case, but certainly the most known.
    Not allowing us to test our script and being able to have a version fully functional on release force us to not enjoy the release and having to work on our scripts. In long term people get tired and just stop.

    Sadly the "Idea box section" has been removed on the forum (at least we can't create new post), but I know that NQ is reading this section time to time :)

    Thanks for this nice rework of the repair unit. It works pretty well, it has some bugs but overall it's working.
    I think if you could add a little quality of life to it, it would make it even better.

    As you see on the capture, we have some area with many constructs (and we are not the only one). When we have to select a construct, it would be nice if we could have a filter on top of the construct list.

    First of all, I would like to thank NQ for making efforts to find new solutions to fight against cheaters.


    However, following the implementation of the new anti-cheat tool has been drastically impacted the player experience.

     

    We are no longer in Beta, the anti-cheat solution should be tested before being deployed in production.

    Almost every time we log out we have the same problem, which means that it is not a rare bug but a recurrent and frequent problem.
    In addition to this, there are various other errors.

    One of Easy-Anti-Cheat's slogans is "Our mission is to keep games fun. Easy Anti-Cheat is non-invasive and trusted industry-wide. Experience your favorite games the way they were meant to be experienced by complementing your security efforts with established technology and practices."

    I must say that my experience as a player has been degraded since we have EAC and it should be the opposite.

     

    In conclusion, the current solution is not viable and only adds one more reason for some players to unfortunately stop playing.

  5. Setting up a properly a ore farm takes time. 
    It will just push more people to deploy "non-voxel" mining farm that just populate planet as junk station. Taking care of mining farm takes already enough time, if you have to go and search every x time for new farm I think it will just push more people out of the game.

    I vote against that.


    I will add an other argument against that change:
    Some people have build their base on a flower specially because it was a good spot. I know that we can move ore but why forcing people to pay additional tiles because their factory, showroom stay on those "old" tile.

    After hours and hours of hard work, the museum is ready for the public.

    I started this project because I like our builder community and support them. 
    The goal of this museum is to display all the honeycomb of the game and give the possibility to anyone to have access to them at a decent price.

    Every honeycomb of the game has his own display and dispenser from Tier 1 to Tier 5, for a total of 1382 different color and structure.

    I have try to keep the price as low as possible to push the creativity of our nice community one step further.
    All the honeycomb are produced in place.
    If for any reason one specific honeycomb is empty or you want a high amount of a specific honeycomb. You can contact me, I will do my best to sort it.

    Or flying to the location: ::pos{0,2,44.9404,86.2643,45.2091} (You can't miss it, it's under the Statue of Liberty)
     

    PS: Working on landing pad for our visitor, currently you can use an elevator at bottom of the structure to go in the museum.

  7. After reading the various posts, there are many very good arguments and ideas for resolution.
     

    I think, like you, that the optimization should be done as the development goes on. Each part should be optimized at the time of release. 
    It's not just a matter of releasing a feature, it has to work, and the way it works is also through optimization and usability.

    Of course, some optimization must be done independently of the development of the features because they affect several modules.


    But for example, the fact that when leaving an industry unit, we sometimes have a freeze that can last 5secs is not normal. It doesn't matter that the communication with the server is not yet finished. The user is not "informed" but just blocked for x seconds. In a normal world, he should have at worst a loading information or simply that the task is done in background.

    But should never be stuck.
    So in that case, the dev should have take in consideration that the communication with the server is not instant and have handle this. Not just freezing the player.

    Agree, when a weapon destroy an element it should loose all his life.

    So only 1 repair, if you go in a fight and you win you can still come back to base.

    I know that for some people it's OK to scam others. But NQ should at least give us tools to filter those scams.
    Many people are complaining about the game not having enough player, not sure that this type of gameplay push new player to get interested into the game.

    Again, I don't complain for myself but to keep the game healthy and bring in new players.

     @NQ

    • give us a way to ignore all the buy order below a certain amount in the settings
    • the first time you open the market in the game (for new player) the player has a "help" message telling him that he can set default filters. (maybe also the reason why)
