Encouraging new players to play - Market change
Yoarii replied to Gideon77's topic in General Discussions
Yes, including the new space market. Give some love to dispensers. -
Completely agree.

Shameless bump. Please NQ, can you say anything about this topic?

NQ: Time to answer the question - Will there be a wipe?
Yoarii replied to Thunderblaze's topic in General Discussions
Split the player population in two? No, that is as bad as wiping. Newbie: Help! Vet: Sorry, can't help you. I'm in quarantine. NQ: Look at the new caves and environments we introduced, go play with it. Vet: Can't, I'm i quarantine. -
Yes, can confirm.

Goes wild - how? We need more details to help you. That said, I hope you've already asked in chat in-game for help. If not, please do. There are lots of helpful players willing to help out.

SAVE THE DATE: ATHENA ON PTS MARCH 31ST - discussion thread
Yoarii replied to NQ-Wanderer's topic in General Discussions
Dispenser API. When? Is it supposed to be player-made content or NQ-made content? Why won't you give us the tools to build cool things? Why another NQ-made market? You're killing player markets instead of supporting them. -
Yes please, let us move multiple elements at the same time.

Ship repairing - suggestions for improvements
Yoarii replied to Reg_AU's topic in General Discussions
Nothing is ever deleted from the containers when you take damage. If you're experiencing that, it's a bug and should be reported as such. The damage calculation/propagation does need an overhaul - just ask anyone slightly touching the light posts when landing on a market... I'd prefer NQ makes the already existing "Repair unit" actually *repair* items using scrap instead of just switching damaged elements for new ones. -
How do I cancel all subs for this stupid game
Yoarii replied to Crazyhorse's topic in General Discussions
I don't, why? -
Coolest things you've seen done in lua?
Yoarii replied to aliensalmon's topic in General Discussions
That's 3D rendering engine, not a physics engine, is it not? -
I assume they are. NQ: Please consolidate all rules to a central place where both new and old players easily can find them. Maybe even via a link in the launcher?

NQ I am extremely disappointed with wrecks.
Yoarii replied to Musclethorpe's topic in General Discussions
Yeah, a "Karp" in the middle of the forest? Sadly that player quit -

I think it's a great idea. Eve has something like it and it's great fun to hunt down anomalies and/or players with it. -

I love the Lua-part of the game. However - that is just another AFK-gaming loop that already exists in form of missions. That kind of game play has no room in a game imho. -
@Lethys is sadly correct. Even though it would add so much much coolness, awesomeness and immersion I don't think this will ever happen.

No. Just no. The DSAT mechanics is, imho, an utter disaster. It's literally fly to position A, then B....to E. It's just a time sink without any fun. It needs to be reworked into something that players can learn to be good at, while having *fun*. *Finding* a wreck should only be half the enjoyment, the hunt for them must the enjoyable too, as should the hunt for asteroids. -

I do imagine that. It would be awesome. A reason to fly your ship! -

I haven't done any wreck searching myself, but I agree with previous posters. Make salvaging a viable game loop for people to enjoy. However - the game also needs an element sink. Once built, a ship is forever unless you PvP. There's such a huge amount of elements in player's pockets right now it's not even funny. Add wear and tear to elements and let us RECYCLE them into the a percentage of the parts they were made of (not ore). This would open up for another game loop between salvager and manufacturer. -
Blueprints: Allow Change of Honeycombs and Same-Size Elements
Yoarii replied to Hirnsausen's topic in Idea Box
It would make things easier for some, but I think it is generally a bad idea. As the creator of a design, I determine its looks and performance. If I want it to have X, Y and Z, then that is what it will have - unless the buyer puts in the work to rework it after purchase/build. On the same topic - I'm all in favor of a tool to replace elements of the same size and model, but only after the construct has been built. -
Practically no difference from the current core-system

PANACEA (0.28) UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE - discussion thread
Yoarii replied to NQ-Wanderer's topic in General Discussions
I too thought this was bug at first, but I can see use for it. I do however rather press END to reach the same position, than having to press HOME every time I select a new vertex to edit. A toggle for this would be great.
