  1. You don't need blueprints on your nanopack, you can build most of the basic elements there and slowly introduce industry machines.
  2. Ye if only it worked properly. Logged this evening to mine some hematite, after 30kl boom, stuck with pending operation. Logged off, waited ~30min, logged back in, still stuck, kk thx bb.
  3. If ores became mostly mined in space it's easier to move to a space station. Oh btw, how does space station behave in an unsafe environment? :V
  4. Has to be the same guy crying that he couldn't monopolize the market with his 10L core gigafactory and thus suggested to gate every other simple production line with schematics.
  5. That's why safe zones are vital, how many groups can defend themselves from a 100+ ppl invasion? Also mind that there are games like rust that often use limitations for group sizes, and besides that always keep in mind that you can be assaulted while you're offline.
  6. There is no easier solution atm. If you are on Sanctuary you can no longer keep your home there becouse the ores in your tile are not even remotely enough to set up a basic factory, your best option is to build a simple ship using your nanopack and move to alioth. I believe you can also use shuttles to travel between sanc and alioth, you can find them in districts, you can only carry what fits in you inventory tho.
  7. Ok but that's the price of 1 gun, the full ship might cost between 5 and 10millions, which is not that much IF you include current bot prices into the equation, and they are slowly disappearing. But also mind that those 5 to 10 millions are per-life, every time you die you need to pay them again. In the long run it's cheaper to set up a factory for most of said ship's part btw.
  8. Imho the problem with PvP is not that there are too few scenarios in which you can actually engage someone else, but that it's absurdly and stupidly expensive. You don't find ppl to PvP with because PvP itself is out of reach for the majority of the playerbase, making it harder to obtain the necessary assets to be able to PvP (like NQ did with 0.23) will only make the situation worse.
  9. Camping asteroids was the thing I was most concerned about when I first heard about them. Just look at how things are done here, if that particular asteroid with T3/T4/T5 ore is going to endlessly respawn where it is then the first thing that will happen is orgs walling that rock with L cores and that's it, no more asteroid.
  10. I might agree with you, but I'm not the one talking for months about planets/moons being mined out. I mean, planets are cool, but this game revolves around ores, if there's the possibility that we are running low on high tier stuff then a new system will be needed soon. I just landed on thades with 3 scanners etc, I opened the map and there are claimed tiles scattered everywhere, how many good stuff is left here? I don't know.
  11. I tought it was from eve ? If it's from NQ then there might be hope xD
  12. It depends, if the new system comes with a community event, like the opening of ahn'qiraj gates in WoW, which takes time and requires almost everyone to cooperate then it's good. Lethis suggested a few things, never played eve but I guess it's how it works there, it's a good start, it could make us invested in something for weeks or months.
  13. My main concern is about "first in first pay", I mean the missions themselves looks promising but they have to be enough for everyone, so... thousands of them and basically everywhere, I don't wanna either travel to the other side of the system to be 308th in line or skip them completely because "someone else will make it first". For the objectives just look at other mmo, escorts might be bound to specific coordinates, not like "bring me to the moon", more like bring me to x, y and z and you're done once you get there. Bounty might works around NPC ships. Hauling missions are probably the easiest, the more material you haul to the other side the more money you get.
  14. For those who remembers what was like to shoot a missile from a moving ship in the early space engineers (for those who don't, the missile would instantly collide with your ship)... imagine being killed by your own crap :v
  15. I'm expecting schematics being required in transfer units too :v
  16. I have a question about this mission system, is it something between players only, like an interface which let me create or accept a quest, or does it involves some kind of NPC entity, I dunno, a questgiver who sends you to kill space pirates and retrieve the cargo they stole.
  17. Some does, some does not, can't remember exactly which one have it, it's something like pure ore honeycombs have the word "honeycomb" in the schematic's name while product honeycomb does not. It has to be like that cause yesterday I stared for like 30secs at a steel schematics wondering why I bought it twice before realising it was for the honeycombs. Btw, they should really group more schematics togheter, I understand having ores/products/elements separated, it's fine, they are part of the progression, but items like lights or doors or furniture in general shouldn't be all gated behind 1 schematics each.
  18. I'd say they'll "wipe" introducing a new system, I we ever get to the number of players needed to justify a new system. Atm the raw space we have is more than enough for thousands of more players, ore-wise who knows, minable asteroids might bring enough ores to sustain everyone.
  19. I had a way worse rig than him (i5 2500) when I first joined and I can relate to his pain, but it's true that once you leave alioth it becomes fairly playable. Now I upgraded to a 5600x with 32gb ram, nvme, 1070, and I get a solid 14fps while flying my M core I believe it's due to the stupid amount of xs wings I had to hide inside said ship to make it fly properly (it's a replica, didn't want to ruin its shape by placing M wings all around).
  20. Imho you should simply avoid schematics for now. I believe it's easier (and faster) to focus on upgrading your speeder until you can safely carry a good amount of ore, I did my first two months with a ship that could carry like ~100t, which is good for a solo (I'm assuming you are solo). Also allow me to say that imho taking your time to do whatever the hell you want to do is the best approach you could have with this game, the more you feel the urge to rush content the faster you'll get bored. Even without schematics building up a solid factory by yourself was a slooooow process, crafting times are long, talents takes a lot of time, travelling too.
  21. For me it solved by itself by simply logging out for like an hour or so, like when you get stuck with pending operations.
  22. So I've been mining my first mega node the whole morning, I've been slowed a lot by pending operations so haven't extracted that much (about 200kl) but as I was digging I noticed I was about to reach the border of my tile. I was excited by the thought of this node being split between 2 tiles, more ore! An then I found it, the void. In the second tile there's only a gigantic hole, I investigated and found no entrance, hence it shouldn't be player-made, also the node in my tile is surgically cut following the tile's border. I read something about NQ messing with meganodes so I didn't cared that much, the real issue is that I can't mine the existing node anymore, I keep getting those 2 errors: generic voxel error when mining the ore and invalid cell version when digging the ground. Any workaround? Relogging didn't fix the issue.
  23. I don't know what really happened at lacobus, but I can make a guess, now, the reason it happened it's probably couse it's still a safe zone, make it PvP free and it would have been a thousand times harder to do whatever they did.
  24. Mind that I'm not saying that they should wipe every few months, wow is still a good example for this subject, expansions last from 1year and a half to 2 years (can't really remember the exact timings), and as NQ is planning to release at least in a year I'd say it could be a good opportunity to "wipe" and move on to a new system with the knowledge they accumulated over this beta. As a side note: I'm not really into the rust attitude of wiping basically every week, even tho I enjoyed it a lot in the past
