What do you want to be in the game? Do you want to be in a somewhat laid back organization or a more serious organization?
Either way you can make a post in the arkship pub, introducing yourself and say you are looking for a org.. the recruiters will come for ya. 
 
I'm in the solar empire -We're a more laid back. will be more peaceful, only using force when necessary. We are also kind of a star wars fan group, you don't have to be though. 

NQ said they don't mind us taking inspiration from star wars.
@Lethys do you have any completely original ship designs? 

Not 100% sure, a dream shop of mine would include almost every tool there is. But that would be extremely expensive, I defiantly want a good amount of wood working tools, a nice big table saw, lathe, wide belt sander, plainer. etc. I love designing and building things.

Hi everyone! 

Considering todays post about BOO and the numbers of players in the top ten Orgs, 
I have decided to post my charts on here as well as Twitter. 

I forgot to place my name on them and now have, but figured seeing as it is fit, I would post them directly here as well, it's just been a little supervising side project of mine to see how the orgs and forums handled in posts, members, etc when the kickstarter came around as well as me just having a general interest in the numbers. 

So, I update the charts daily - with member orgs who have fallen off the top ten staying on there for up to seven days just in case they come back to the top.

Anyway, without rambling on too much longer. 
Have my charts. 
But stop asking for access, please, you won't get it, I'm just trying to provide consolidated data in a point for my own and others interest.

It seems it is currently unlikely that there will be moving parts on a *single* construct. We can still make separate constructs that act as moving obstacles. So do not lose all hope just yet.

The meme wars.

There is the possibility of Arenas being created to unleash your blood lust, in a fair and managed manner.  I love the idea of arenas for team based pvp games. Good for spectators also, provides entertainment and gambling opportunities. 

Just trying to see what kind of community this will be. Are the majority of players wanting to live a live of peace, or do they have a lust for blood?

I imagine I'll start out as a carebear and eventually be in some kind of org/alliance as a grunt soldier or reservist at least.

I think its safe to say almost everyone on the forums is very excited for this game, and are on the hype train. So jump on board with the rest of us 
I've never been in a alpha like this either, so it will be interesting so see and play. 
As for first steps you have done the first one, introducing yourself.  Next thing I would do is look for a organization to join or create your own, if that interests you. 
If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to post away. 

I know I plan on spending most of my time in a hanger building things.
