    To anybody wondering:

Ellas told it was "docked to station". Some assumed it was a legit station. The station was in fact another dynamic core. NOT A STATIC CORE.

    What happened:
    1) He left his ships in space not docked to any statics
    2) One of our guys jumped on top of it with his avatar and the ship resumed speed augmented by gravity
    3) They waited for it to get out of safe zone (the gravity tiled the trajectory a bit)
    4) They blew the ship up and cored it
    5) Some guy comes and starts accusing of exploiting and talking about some code etc.

Well NQ, to be honest, yes these steps you made are totally necessary, BUT the DLLs gave us features you still didn't gave us and that are absolutely required.

    These are for example:
    - external requests for receiving and sending data to our own apis (VERY IMPORTANT)
    - a json encoding/deconding that is not stupidly slow
    - communication between programming boards
    - and more

The coder community in this game is big and needs more specialized features to make this game as great as it deserves to be. But if you restrict everything and give us nothing back, I don't know how long coders will stick to the game.

I am actually quiet disappointed how coders get ignored and handled like 2nd class people.

Aleksandr reacted to Nayropux in So, when is the game getting rolled back?
After this mornings huge screwup and bot prices were reduced 100x, I've seen screenshots of 10s of billions in schematics, and have heard of people who bought items at the bugged prices and resold to players who made hundreds of millions in a few minutes. When is this getting rolled back?

At this point it is probably too late to just reverse the market transactions. People are trying to hide the money in ore or moving it around, so the only way to catch it all is to rollback. If you just remove the schematics and return the money, you screw over all the people who had their buy orders filled and the people who sold them bugged items get to keep all that money. The longer it takes to rollback, the more annoyed people will be, so probably best done sooner rather than later.

I won't speak for everyone, but if people are allowed to keep these items, or the money they got from selling them, then I'm personally moving on to different games. There is no reason to play if someone who logs in for 5 minutes at the right time makes more progress than others who have been playing for months.

Aleksandr reacted to Xennial in NQ stop messing with bots!! Or communicate!!
I seriously don't understand why NQ insists on destroying the ability for the market to stabilize. So we had bots buying ore , then the bots slowly got eaten away and people started trading ore with each other again. Prices were beginning to stabilize in the upper teens , then bam without warning suddenly the bots refill their orders today. Everyone buys out the lower orders and sells to the bots and we are right back to everyone dumping ore to the magical bot orders.

How in the world do you ever expect any player market stability to form when you insist on a whim destroying whatever pricing has stabilized. Not to mention the fact that you make it even harder for producers to acquire ore in bulk because everyone is selling it to bots. No one knows your bot plan , so I'm certainly not going to post buy orders above the bots , because for all I know if I wait a week or two you won't refresh them and then I will have bought a bunch of ore at twice the going rate.

I mean seriously where is the common sense that your haphazard bot orders are unhealthy to the game world. At least if you said "we are permanently having bots buy these ores at this price" we could actually plan around that. Same would hold true if you said "after this batch of bot orders there will never be bots buying ore again". You don't however communicate any of this with the player base. This paralyzes the markets because producers cannot properly plan pricing , traders risk at buying and selling products is forever at risk at the carpet being pulled out from under them.

I mean truly , you have central bank like power with these bot orders and apparently none of the common sense that would generally be required of people in those positions. No one knows what your doing, no one can anticipate when you'll wave your hand and completely unhinge the market again. Seriously , please treat the player base with some respect and either tell us your plans with the bots or just remove them and let the players actually control the market without your random sledge hammer bots.

Aleksandr reacted to XKentX in Talemai LOCKDOWN
During a trivia conversation with a bartender in the Crooked Vector bar, news spread that Telemai planet has been blockaded by some Greenpeace activists threatening Rum delivery and that supplies may soon run out. As Crooked Vector Alliance operation would be in danger of a complete standstill should Rum deliveries be halted, it was decided to dispatch a Tractor Pobeda(translation: Victory Tractor) class battleship named ANH Monstruoso to investigate.

After numerous failures to start the ship, mechanic Vasili Petrov figured out to pull the reserve potatoes out of the exhaust pipes and applied 3kl of duct tape around the steam engine allowing the tractor to start up. Unexpected arrival of a pair of slippers thrown from the captain compartment accidentally hit the warp drive toggle and the battleship entered warp.
On arrival, crew used last Rum reserves to dehibernate and manned the battle stations.

Captain Ivanov was still busy watching his favorite exhaust-pipehub videos featuring a young lady yelling FRACK while looking at him from the screen.
Unexpected and hard warp exit led to 3.5mm jack of Ivanov's headphones to be ejected from his PC and windows 95 switching sound output. The loud FRACK was broadcast on all ANH Monstruoso internal speakers.
Crew, being less proficient with English, interpreted the word as a command to ATTACK and unleashed a vicious barrage with 42 lasers on everything in the vicinity.
Once Captain Ivanov finally arrived to the bridge, investigation of the blockade could not be continued due to everyone shooting everything as well as presence of another large military force engaging the alleged Greenpeace activists.

Ivanov decided that his mission is a success and he can try squeezing the last drops of the X2 kergon from the fuel tanks as Rum will probably be scarce anyway.
Last information received includes broadcasts of uintepretable messages from the crew involving references to flying space skulls eating Greenpeace activists and lasers missing at point-blank range.

    Stay tuned.

We didn't accuse NQ of cheating.

In past, there was 1 instance that happened to one of the participants that a target ship under attack was teleported by the GMs due to request in the discord channel.

When this happened the first thing that we all thought is that it was teleported by the GMs so we all started writing in the support channel that the ship under attack was teleported demanding it be brought back to the battlefield.

NQ staff from discord confirmed that they did not teleport this ship.

We all know the state of PVP is beyond miserable and big engagements are rare.
Here is our story of what you get when you try.

We spotted an AC HYP Flotilla leaving Locobus to Alioth. They had 3 XS ships, 1 S ship and 1 M ship.  We were heavily outgunned so we had to improvise.
The plan was to kite the XS ships away by showing only 1 XS core and then engage the M core with the rest of our ships (We had 2 S, 1 XS)

    Part 1) The trap:
I am the pilot of the first XS ship that burned from alioth to intercept and then aligned back so they "catch up to me".
The rest of the ships were held closer to Alioth (like 10 SU from me) so they engaged only once I kited the XS away.
AC HYP flotilla cached up to me at about mid-way from Locobus to Alioth. I accelerated to max speed and got the M-Core at about 1-SU and opened fire with 4 L Railguns.
About 5min later the XS cores undocked from the M-Core as expected but couldn't catch up to me as we were at max speed. M-Core started slowing down forcing me to slow down too so the XS cores can get a lock on me at closer range.
I started changing trajectory as the XS cores were now slowly approaching me as I was not at max speed and slowly taking the XS cores away from the M-Core trajectory to alioth.

    Part 2) The sheep:
Once I got the XS cores trajectory very well off the alioth trajectory, I instructed the rest of the ships to slow down and engage (so the M-Core that is heading to alioth will catch up with them, now without escort).
That worked and the XS cores got their trajectories all messed up and flew in different directions leaving the M-Core ship alone with 2 of our S-cores (about 16 L guns) opening fire on the M-Core.

The M-Core, left alone without escort, decided to run to Alioth and accelerated to max speed.
I changed my speed vector the other way and had intercepted the M-Core too (that was not planned but luck was on our side).
We now had about 22 L Railguns all engaging the defenseless M-Core freighter.

    Part 3) The way out:
We were firing at the M-Core ship for about 20 minutes and then one of our gunners reported a player-kill + a crash. It happens when you kill an avatar, a known bug since the start of beta. The gunner-killer crashes.
The M-Core ship suddenly stopped (I assume, anyone who was on-board logged off or was dead). We all burned all our fuel to slow down and verified that the M-Core ship is now standing still and is a sitting duck.
All our ships started approaching and continued fire on the M-Core ship and trying to evade some XS-cores that finally arrived to try to save the M-Core freighter.

Our own M-Core heavy gunship friend was about 40SU away and now burning towards us from Alioth so we didn't worry about XS cores spread all over as they are now outgunned and disorganized.

The M-Core ship started trying to repair some parts and accelerating but it had all it's engines down due to being under constant fire of about 22 L Railguns for the last 20 minutes. It started spinning and couldn't keep up with the repair.
Then, when AC HYP Gizzly ran out of options to survive, this happened:

For those who don’t understand what happens, The M-Core is standing still, is under fire (so the warp drive is in cooldown) and it suddenly just disappears. All 4 of our ships on field (about 12 players) just had it vanish from their radar. Can I get the skill to switch Universe too ? This is Dual Universe.

When I asked in Hyperion discord for comment, they threatened me that disclosure of this violated EULA and I will get a ban.

I believe I can disclose the footage of my video and share my experience. I don't see any EULA violation here.

Any good sandbox (even purely PvP based ones) need to be hinged on a risk/reward balance. To accommodate the maximum number of players in your game, you need low risk places/activities with low rewards, and high risk places/activities with high rewards. That includes zones mostly or fully free of PvP risk. I am saying this with a 10 year Space Pirate career in EvE, with full intentions to do the same here. If they open everywhere to PvP, monopolies would emerge and devour all the interesting diversity.

PS: I admit the reward differentiation to compensate for no risk is not there yet. But it's very early. They should have kept the production capabilities of the safe zone to T1 only. There is no point at all to produce anything outside the safezone too.

I like PvP but in any PvP game I have played I have never fired on an unarmed opponent (thats just to counter an opinion that all PvPers are seal clubbers) .
I feel that it would be fair if tier 2 and above ores were only mineable on non safe zone planets.

Spoken like a true person who hasnt PvPd ingame much. The large part of PvP atm from orgs like NG and DSI is either arranged for the fun of it or people hunting whatever they can find because the space is SO limited. Ask a hundred PvPers. Most will tell you they care less about the loot itself and more about the thrill of fighting. Absolutely bottom tier take on the matter.

Also a bland old take on the subject matter. There's a balance and the game is not even 1% PvP right now. And why should it not be easy to destroy such work? Instead of having people organically learn how to defend themselves, hire mercs, befriend the right people, take safer routes, etc, etc. You think its healthy to have people run around the entire world for free constantly like a massive creative sandbox? Months of work mean absolutely nothing when theres no risk to it. Because there will come one day where many people are saturated on building, or the resources and territory are dry. People like you will ask for one of two things at this point. 1) Respawning resources or getting a new system with the same safety principles. 2) Wiping territory on release because all the main system stuff is already claimed by that time.

The world will never have a real timeline if things cant both be built and withered down. It will just be one long session on creative mode and it will never rise to what it could be

No, not literally.   I want violence because I came in for the politics and intra Corp and interpersonal violence is part of a living civilisation.

I'm happy with safety zones but they should be one olavet and one moon.
