  1. Seems like what we asked for around the wipe... 

     

    Give us a new system. Let players pick what system to start into. Give us a star gate tech to connect systems. Make that take 180 days to craft before players can move from system to system. New players get a new fair start, older players get to keep what we worked for, NQ honors the commitments before about not erasing all our progress and everyone is happy. Well almost everyone for the pure reason of complaining I'm sure someone will say we cannot split the community, although this is not a spilt it is a way to get new player experience while also allowing old players. Most of the highly dedicated players will create new accounts or have some alts in each system. Six months from that all is the same and we have a grand system to allow for NQ to make more and more systems over time. 

     

    All the other stuff around why a wipe should happen overlooks the simple question of how that would be any different 18 months after a wipe. Take all the pro wipe reasons and ask that question. 

     

     

  2. Careful what you ask for...

     

    People asked for core to core transfer units and we got schematics when we asked about indy focused updates.

     

    We tried to ask for an all option for transfer units, really anything that would allow us to make sorting machines. There are too many item types to not have this. We even saw the large about of items stated by the Dev's on the last Ask Aphelia podcast as something they know needs some way to better manage. We do not need the Devs to sort this out for us, just give us some simple tools so we can automate item sorting systems ourselves. 

     

    Overall this game could see huge rewards if the Devs focus more on giving us systems to create content and game play opportunities. The "D" in RDMS is a great start. Let us create quests or missions to do simple things for orgs and offer payment or permissions as a reward. 

    Lastly indy focused people really really like to expand automation. Give them much more automation options. 
     

  3. limits placed in games today create new problems tomorrow... 

     

    This is easy, the whole heat map approach to seeding ore needs adjustment. Ore is so wildly easy to find now it is joke. There should not be hotspots more like mega node distribution where you actually need to get lucky and hit the actual hex. Now I need to hit 1 of 20 hexs in an area to sort out where the best hexes are or are not. 

    If NQ wipes all useful hexs will be gone in days at most because they are so simple to find.

    NQ please read that! Please stop making game loops that are PITA. We been asking for the repair unit to work as  the player base wants them to, not how you keep telling us they should. We want to trade time and additional materials vs manual repairing so we can repair AFK. Games are for fun and when you force people to not have fun in your game without giving them another option you lose players.

    So what if a org ship? How would you friend a org? This seems like another game system or two would need to be added to simply color stuff. I very much want a FoE system just know it is much more than color changes.

    NQ would want to wipe to slow the game down. Plain and simple. 

    The management is smart as if you run any basic numbers they need at least 75,000 players and more like 150,000. For investors to make a good return on their very old investment your really looking at needing 200K +. 

    What do games normally get? How many people play other MMO like games at the moment? 

  7. How do you sort out a friend from a game design prospective? 

     

    Pilots, ships, and orgs can all be intermixed. Pilots can get out of seat and trade with another pilot. Many many edge cases here. Makes sense to say friendly but how is that done? 

  8. When repair crew became nearly useless is what killed cap ships or better crew based battled. 

    Honestly we are the problem there... Too many people said "I want to pilot a battleship all myself" and now the game seems to focus on that. 

     

    The older PvP crew game play was really really fun. I did all roles; pilots, gunners, and repair crew. Repair crew was actually the most fun. It was the most intense more so than piloting.
