    yes i only use military two i just think fuel use should be less as we go two explore moor i barley like two fly unless i have two especially with a howler  it is a space game and it feels like im always running two get fuel and a L tank costs like  millions two fill  i think the Balice needs two be looked at again  its like 2 trips from sanctuary  two alioth and im empty i will say i recently added Anty gravity and its helping a bit

    This will be dramatic for the whole PvE community. They would have to start all over again for the farming part to obtain the ores and wait several months to return to the same level of fun as at present. And the level of fun is already not very high.
     

    And for the competitive part / PvP, we will find the same capacities as currently in 1 or 2 months maximum.

    I agree as of the state of the game from last few patches my ore gathering has dropped by so much  I can’t even work on my projects much I’m mostly waiting two see if it’s going two be fixed a whipe at this point would probably  just push the final nail in the coffin 

     

     

  5. I don’t think a

    player who has spent months or years gathering supplies should lose everything because they stop playing for a bit it should be packed up and put in a special inventory they can be reclaimed when they start playing again as far as salivate it sounds like a good idea but if I’m required two fly all over looking

    i think fuel consumption needs two be reduced fuel use is Riley bad in this game in my opinion

I was shocked from the beginning that the ground did not regenerate over time I knew this would end up being a problem and in the end rather than fix it they took the cheaper way out I’m so disappointed in the detection this last patch took us I just wish they would scrap this I’m finding it a Paine in the ass two even be able two build anymoor it’s not fun geting so little amount of ore this is not fun anymore two me I just loved the building in this game now it’s just two time consuming 

    and even if I wanted two build a pvp ship and trie that I’m not spending a month or moor two lose a ship it may be time two just try find somting else that fills my creative side voide that landmark left me but now DU is heding in the same direction at this rate I dont see this game ever being good maybe star base can do better

With the current implementation that means you have to calibrate every single day. I experience this as a somewhat stressfull time pressure. It's really difficult for me to ignore the addicting dopamine triggers but I managed to stop picking up all the surface ores because that was an incredible time sink. I really kinda want to stop mining like this all together but that also means no resources unless I go space mining which requires a very expensive scanner on a ship large enough to support it which I don't have yet and I'm also not looking forward to doing that because it's an even bigger time sink before I can start to mine anything. This mining mechanic is in my opinion compromising one of the few good gameplay systems DU has which is the building system.

     

    The simplest solution or at least a better implementation of this system would be to lower the speed at which MU's lose efficiency and also slow the speed at which we get charges so we only have to calibrate every few days or so. That opens up time to do other things.

     

    @anyone: How do you feel about the current state of gathering resources?

    play this game anymore I haven’t built anyting or worked on my base sence the update I find the rate at witch MU get Material ridiculous I tride space mining it did not work for me just wasted fuel and time and found  all the astroids I visited alredy mined out I just wish NQ would roll back and scrap this update it’s killing everting I liked about this game for me I may just need two go check out star base and see if they fix this game later on maybe if enough people stop playing they will see they sucked the fun right out of this game I can’t even build anymore and I’m not spending a week grinding a crapy amount of ore I went from 100m worth of cargo a week two about 4m hell no I need way moor material two build  

    who in thier right mind would want two spend months two build a ship two pvp in and lose it sounds real fun 

  8. Are you planing on limiting how  big we can build two 

    If so by how much I thought this is a rebuild civilization so how is that going two work if we are being limited we should be able two make cities 

    also why don’t we have any hand weapons or base defenses how are we going  two defend a base from ships  

    (bring back last version of game  and work off that you keep making huge changes  how are we going two move forward  when we keep changing core gameplay it’s like alha again

    The difference with the current terrain reset in Dementer is that the terrain around the base, and even in the base itself, is not changed. So if you have an underground base, the terrain in and around that base is not reset.

     

    But no, they remove a well-functioning game mechanic to switch to the autominer, which I have to constantly calibrate to pay my taxes with the meager yield.

     

    If NQ doesn't have such a feature they should program it and bring back underground mining, that would be a positive addition to the autominer.

     

    So personally I don't enjoy the game at the moment, so please make something that covers a wide range of play styles, only then can the game be a success.

This is dumb I can only put a mining unit on static construct so what the pint of even leaving my base  besides finding a better claims what is a scanner for now besides scanning a new claims  what encourages me two go out and explore  I just don’t get this  and I am limited two how much I can mine per hour or day good job NC kill mining and exploring  I just don’t get this direction you sucked the fun right out of it  it feels like a farming sim 

    not what I backed this game for 

    im So disappointed  I tried two be open two this but all I’m thinking now is what the hell are you thinking

    NQ yes we need this info two decide how we are going two play this game or if it’s a game killer for some of us  also are you planing two down size how big we can build it looks like the direction you heading I have Sean this before down sizing game in name of Performance  I think you are taking the easy way out instead of addressing the problem

    Whilst I appreciate the issue of underground mining on planets is impacting financially and performance of the game, it just feels like rather than fixing the issue at source, the issue is simply being deleted. Rather than fixing the problems underground mining cause and adding to the game with mining units, your deleting and replacing with automation. Am sorry, but if we are talking about the game being sustainable for the long term, fix the architeture of the game as opposed to dancing around the problem.

    The mining units sound interesting, but they are automated with some manual input which has been confirmed to be limited. The update also referred to ‘limiting our time engaging with mining units.’ I mean if I spend all my time mining, I now have no reward for time invested and have been limited in that regard as I no longer play the game on my terms, am being ‘pushed’ away from what I enjoying doing.

    In addition, as mining units are automated and basically end up AFK mining, it opens up the gates for those with many alts and quanta accumulated to date to set up an AFK income of ore which totally takes away from the game again, as this is venturing in pay to win territory.

    Ahh wait! I can still get plenty of ore from asteroids right? Well, on the basis it takes me 75-90 minutes! to get to an asteroid (and everyone else is rushing to it also), 30 minutes to get back and to come away with less ore's worth than it cost me in fuel……. No.

    The safe space asteroids get rinsed, and even if you go to discovered asteroids, it’s an hour of travel for a round trip where there’s nothing but shrapnel left. Try putting 200 asteroids in safe space and on daily respawn then there might be enough to go round.

    In any case, it seems this update will make fundamental changes, create its own issues on top of existing issues, ground players to planets more than likely and take away rewards for time invested.

     

    I have two agree with you hear I’m not happy about the removal of underground ore it’s one ove the things that made this game special I think NQ is just taking the easy way out they should have just aded terrine regeneration 

    I like the idea of mining unit but not like this it also has a max so dose that mean we can only mine the same amount as others it’s looking like land mark all over again dumbing down the game what’s next building limits 

    I’m also not in favorer ove land tax’s  as I like building but it’s going two get expensive and a monthly is two short  why not just add a login in every 2 months or so just two keep land available proving you are active and what about the millions I already payed for my claims do I get money back i am a builder in this game it’s what I enjoy I don’t like pvp it’s the building and mining that brought me two this game  if I wanted pvp I will play star citizen ore eve

The problem with 100% driven economy in my opinion is if theirs not enough people playing  you find you can’t buy what you need    I am alredy finding I can’t find what I need on sanctuary moon  I always have two go two alioth 6   It wouldn't be a big deal but now the way crafting is I have two buy most eliments  I think this is something that sounds cool but probably will just punish players  time will tell

So I started to experiment with trying to make an elevator it’s pretty basic  just started it 4 xs engine on a platform 4xs wings hover chair  and 4 pillars 3 voxels wide in a L shape to hold the elevator in place I don’t want closed walls it seams to be working we’ll leave one voxel space between elevator and pillars or the elevator will freak out and start jumping all over like a earth quack I do have a question though I’m not to good with lua how can I make the engines fire with a button or switch I trying to but it just keep saying  you need a flight seat
