  1. Yup. If you wanna fly your super large cargo ship with only 1 month in the game , low skills, and try to haul thousands of tons of weight, then there is gonna be consequences for crashes.
  2. Love this devblog, great job NQ. Also its amusing seeing the crybabys in this thread who will finally have to deal with consequences. This isnt your private Minecraft server.
  3. This is common. In eve their is power grid restrictions but also size restrictions. Battleship guns dont fit on frigates.
  4. Asteroids that are always respawning is pretty sure already planned to help with new ores needed to keep up with now element losses.
  5. Same, I skipped the first week of beta only logging in to get the quanta and skill queue. But I've never crashed to a "bug" ever. Its always been my fault, usually watching my other monitor.
  6. They do consider it a goal. You don't speak for NQ. PvP is a main pillar, JC has many occasion's talked about pirates, and we know territroy warfare is coming. He talked about territories having more meaning, so my goal could be to take someones, as there might be more value in them coming. You think you know everything, but you atually know very little.
  7. PvP is the main topic that is discussed. For a reason. Deal with it.
  8. Which a majority of the time, seems to be some form of comptetion, pvp, combat, whatever words you want to throw in there.
  9. thats false. If someone wants to be a pirate, or at least attempt that can be their end goal game. You dont get to dictate what is someone's end game goal is.
  10. Thats why droves of people are leaving, not joing, or waiting to come back because of the PvP, or lack thereof. If there was no pvp it would they would just rent servers, and have community ran servers, like tons of other games. I'm sorry but after seeing one or 2 ships, or visiting someones box house, where is the appeal? There isn't PVE. This game was always pitched as the players run, and in turn, compete against eachother. Game will/is dying if the pvp fails to deliver. Just the way it is.
  11. This is so laughable I had to stop reading.
  12. This was a good response. I know you cant give concrete always. But I needed to know that you accurately conveyed what we have said to the dev team, am I'm glad to hear that they have at least we able to listen to you discuss our concerns about this major gameplay. I appreciate it.
  13. So what's the update on this and the time table for this to return. In a "player run" universe it makes no sense that someone can smash into a planet going 3000 speed, while wrecking every element on their ship, and expect 100% certainly that they can get back to it to repair it. Sure If it's in a remote area and they make it there cool, but if someone else finds a wrecked ship we should be able to salvage it.
  14. VOIP is a damn good idea imo. Obviously optional, even off as default. But I so many times ive ran around a market and seen people, and would like to say hi, but most dont even have local chat up. But beyond that, you can get so much more from a short interaction with someone thru voice then you can text. Even people I have known a long time we will talk thru discord, but then sometimes they will be just like "get in voice". So +1 for a future implementation.
  15. Ya no duh. It's pretty frigging irritating to the people who have backed this game for many years. Not just financially, but through word of mouth and time invested, and helping with bugs etc. Many times DU has been touted to have this so called "emergent gameplay" and when finally, a little sliver of it appears, NQ takes it away, for whatever god forsaken reason. Here, im going to help you out big time ok. EvE has been out almost 18 years, and people STILL cry when they get their mining ship blown up to this day. It will never go away. Ever. People will always complain about losing a ship, losing a base, losing time investing in god knows what they spend their time doing in this game. So don't use that as a barometer for how you should make changes.
  16. I've personally always been on the fence about having resurrection nodes being able to be placed on Dynamic cores. Sometimes I think its ok, other times I feel like if you die, you die. And spawning 3 feet from where you died, especially in a tense pvp battle, seems a bit...idk cheesy. I think the planning and whatnot going into pvp should matter as much as the actual act of doing it.
  17. 100% agree, but i think it should something very indepth. Not just one skill. Like it needs a tool in your nanopack to quip, a physical item. a skill for higher % RNG to get parts back. And possibly a skill tree that you need a certain level to even salvage some parts. Like a M agg you cant salvage unless you have lvl 5 or something. It would create many career paths. And even after battles, people could call in buddies/orgs/friends to salvage and get a %. if its a very robust skill tree then it leads to specialization, which then leads to monetization.
  18. Sorry, as for someone with a decade experience pvping in eve, and pvp experience in DU, element destructions is 100% needed. What ive also proposed tho long ago as a forum post, is a robust Salvage talent tree. And im not talking about holding alt and clicking to take elements salvaging. I'm talking about when elements are 100% dead, you can get some RNG and possibly get back some parts that were used to create that. So things do die, but slavagers can still profit some. And with durability it sounds like even if someone loses they wont have completely destroyed every element so still profit to be had. As for docking I've never done anything with it so dont know.
  19. From the other people I talked to it is common, but I haven't done a bug report, and you are scrambling to get back into the action so dont have time to do the report then that pops up when you crash. And its not when you "die" but when you "kill" someone, someone on your ship crashes. Its usually a gunner, but sometimes the pilot. PvP is already in a terrible state, and this makes it damn near unplayable. I would appreciate if you can find out the development team at least acknowledges it.
  20. Can you maybe pass it on to NQ developers, that in pvp If you kill someone, you crash to desktop every single flipping time. I've not had a fight where me or a gunner haven't crashed. This isn't an exaggeration.
  21. They locked the thread because you lose your shit like a 2 year old, and then name call.
  22. Element destruction is coming, it's just not implemented yet. The info released was that elements will be able to be repaired like the current mechanic, but only a certain number of times and then it can no longer be repaired and for all intents and purposes is destroyed. How they actually go about it we don't know yet, bit JC in the recent interview confirmed it. And it "seems" like it could even be in a patch that comes before the end of the year. That is speculation though.
  23. NQ likes to say that they want other ways for players to acquire wealth, and at the game without mining. Then they turn around and do something fucking stupid like this. When is the coddling going to end?
  24. And a big thing I think people forget is....its a game. I want challenge. If i fuck up and a pirate gets me, thats ok. I mean NQ is doing everything they can to give you options, i mean hell, there is a whole moon/planet called "sanctuary" and even recent interviews JC basically confirmed the current blue circle isnt going away. If you cant stand to lose a ship, a base, or competition then maybe this game isn't for you. Been saying that for years now.
