  1. PvP is coming to the game and always has been, there is a big issue though with launching without it or even a clear roadmap of how it will be included. We are playing the game as live but a key part of it (any real risk) is missing. So people are judging a half finished game as a finished product, not sure how they are going to get around it now. Painted themselves into a bit of a corner.........
  2. I agree with you 100% about opinions, but for me several lines have been crossed in recent days. Not sure Blaze needs your back up either, he has proved over many years he can look after himself, all I am doing is holding people to account for what they post. There is massive amount of speculation painted as fact in this forum, that is the ONLY thing i have an issue with. I do have to read the forum though, I still play the game and come to it to find out information on what is going on and talk to other people on how the game can be improved. That is virtually impossible now as EVERY thread is hijacked by conspiracy theories and people completely writing off any objective conversation. I do find it ironic that you think I should stop reading the forum though, when I am still engaged in the game, do you think the forum should solely be for people who dont play the game?
  3. Not a slow news day at all, just another one of your speculations, which is extremely negative and has been proved to be untrue. Just holding you to account for your words. Although I am sure, if the PTS comes out sooner than March, you will be the first to come on here with an apology for being wrong. Also slightly ironic you questioning my posting activity, you seem to be pretty obsessed for someone who doesnt play the game lol
  4. You wont like a lot of the conversations in here then, very little charity going on......
  5. You are not having much luck with your speculation this week dood, keep trying though, if you throw enough shit out there, some if it will stick.
  6. That all comes back to the other MASSIVE elephant in the room though, the fact that this is packaged as a launched beta. Personally I think this was NQ's biggest mistake and one that has gone on to cause problems pretty much across the board. If this was still and alpha, if this was still testing and making the game for launch in the future, the narrative is completely different. Would be a big thing to do but if i was NQ, I would consider pulling the plug on the launch and reset it back to alpha. That is a massive call though, and a very difficult one to navigate.
  7. Not sure if you tried the mission system on the PTS test, but it actually looks quite flexible and open ended. It COULD end up adding a huge amount to the game. Org wallets are also a much needed addition. I am not going to make up my mind about either until they are in the game and we can see the uptake. The mission system is a massive step in the right direction, as it allow direct communication about products and services in game, something you generally have to go outside of the game for (Discord etc). So for the first time, if you crash you can requests repair support, if you run out of fuel you can request fuel support, if you want a product and dont want to go to the market, you can order it for a player to deliver it. It is a piece of the puzzle, and important piece if it works well. The biggest issue with the mission system though is that is if FAR more complex a task than a standard MMO mission system due to the fact it is player generated. This means the number of variables involved are far greater than in a traditional NPC driven world. So it will be difficult to pull off. I am interested in seeing how they do it.
  8. I would love them to add a timer, so if anyone leaves a ship outside their own territory for longer than xxx it opens it up for salvage. Would add a huge amount of gameplay and clean up the markets.
  9. 100% agree this is how they should have been created, would have made it part of the player eco, NOT part of the weird NQ bot army........ Has got to be my biggest issue with NQ, the sheer number of times they remove stuff from the game (or miss opportunities to add stuff) which will improve community cohesion and interactions. - ore bots which create short term solo gameplay loops and wiping out the ore reserves, rather than encouraging sales to players - removing any reason to pvp at all, zero risk game - removing player salvaging by stopping people claiming destroyed ships - the complete lack of ingame communication / marketing channels for people to actually advertise the services / businesses they are making - lac of player trading terminals and dispensers being not really fit for purpose - lack of clarity about how territories and player made safe zones will work in the future, so we have a chance to plan The problem isnt as such, there is nothing to do in the game, the issue is there is no way to let anyone know what you are doing in game. For example, we were making a large commercial / shopping complex but it is all actually pointless at the moment, as there is no way in game to get anyone to shop there.
  10. You are a particularly vindictive and horrible person arent you. Even when something is PROVEN as BS you cant let it go. Also great to see all the backhanded apologies in this thread. Wise man once said - if you end an apology with a BUT it is worthless.......
  11. lol "paid shill drama" should have read "made up forum BS"
  12. Sorry, yesterday was a new low even for you guys. I can put up with you all making stuff up and quoting it as fact but putting up peoples personally information and stuff, that is a dirty scumbag move. I really used to respect the guy, but yesterday he just proved himself to be another scumbag troll who doesnt care about anything but proving himself right. The underhand BS you lot are pulling now to try and make the game fail is beyond a joke. Just wondering, if NQ came out with an 'apology' and 'admitted they got a couple of thing wrong', would you be fine with that?
  13. Ok, I am calling BS, what is your source for this information?
  14. Having discussed several topics with the majority of these posters over several years, I know a far bit the position of those I am addressing. I have also said on several occasion my main expertise is indeed digital marketing. Hence, I feel I have enough knowledge to call out something which is pure speculation. As usual with these posters....... negative speculation.
  15. Brilliant, you lot are not only game development specialist but also closet digital marketing experts too. The speculation in this thread is even more laughable than normal.
  16. You dont get to make that choice, NQ does......
  17. Can you run two copies of Windows, without an additional license? Not sure why it makes no sense, the schematics let you run one machine, to run two, you need two. What is confusing?
  18. People are not doing PvP because it is a place holder you can easily avoid. Interesting that you see this game as such a competition, I supposed that is the difference in our attitudes. Can you explain what this 'advantage' is please? I am building a civilisation, I am not in competition with anyone. My org is a team of two players and we sell ships, we trade goods, are making a racing team, building a casino. Not sure any BIG ORG has 'played with me' and they will certainly never 'tax', infact all the big orgs I know (and i know many) have been very friendly and helpful. Prehaps this is the problem, you are talking about what you think big orgs are, rather than having any actually interaction with them. If you see this game as everyone is in competition with each other (which they are not), then your concerns are valid but, as with civilisation, we are not actually all against each other, just living in the same place.
  19. Brilliant, about 6 quotes of my post and every single one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse have managed to miss the point. It is not about being blindly positive, I am no white knight, I have made as much negative comment about DU as I have positive, BUT when i am critical of NQ I do it in a positive way, I bring a potential solution to the problem, not exaggerate it. The issue is the certain posters turning EVERY conversation into a negative, with some hilarious "in the know" writing style suggesting they that someone understand everything that is going on at NQ, when actually they are just speculating like the rest of us. Take this thread, @blazemonger could have easily posted it as a question - "Why have you moved the xxxxx forum?" but NO instead he went for the extremely negative 'click bait' title - "NQ does not want your ideas". As per usual, framing the situation in the most negative way possible. Your post takes a very simple issue (a moved forum thread) and turns it into a massive attack on NQ in general, pretty much like any topic the majority of those you post, you just make stuff up based on your massively bias opinion, and then all you little cronies lap it up. A good example of this is the mission system, personally I hope that it could add a reasonable amount to the game, it will facilitate many more career paths and hopefully greatly improve player interaction (something that is vitally needed). Yet you have already decided that it is not fit for purpose, will not be developed any further and will not help the game at all. This is despite neither of us being in possession of the details. It is just different ways of framing the same information, I frame it in a positive way, you frame everything in the negative. You also seem to totally ignore the fact that over the last three months this forum has had MORE NQ involvement than I can remember, with NQ-Naunet alone posting on average of 3-5 times a day. NQ arent perfect, they have made loads of mistakes, launching an Alpha as a paid sub Beta was always going to come back to bite them on the arse, but that does not means that they do not listen, do not care, or are not working hard to make the game a success. They have just made a few mistakes.
  20. No it is not deeply flawed, my late mother taught me a lot of things, the main one being there are twos ways to approach a problem, solve it, or walk away from it. You are doing neither, your consistent baseless theorising (about both the game and NQ) does nothing to help the game or community, it just damages it further. If you like the game and want it to succeed then bloody show it, if not, sod off and leave us that want to support it to get on with it.
  21. Funniest line on this forum for decades and you know it.......... I am all about the laughs. And yes, you have tried to improve, so how about we all do that, how about we all just focus on the positives and the potential for at least one more patch! I am really enjoying the game again, I see some light at the end of the tunnel and I hope GOD DAMN IT, it is not a train....... Oh and as for people talking about the games they paid for, the majority of the people posting here have had their pound of flesh and some.
  22. Just read this thread and you wonder why they dont listen? The same boring old people, with the same boring old unsubstantiated theories, slapping each other on the back as they theorise the demise of the game. It is like some neck beard jerk circle. Cant remember the last positive thing I have read from 80% of the posters in here, getting very tiresome now. Ever thought of either getting behind the game or leaving to play something else. Lets face it, none of you are here for anything else but to put people off the game. Listen to me, listen to me, or I will tell everyone how I dont like your game! Self entitlement at its greatest.
