That's exactly why there is a safe zone, so there already is both.
-
OK then that should be changed. Shouldn't be able to lock/identify/fire but should be able to detect.
-
Why do people keep saying radar doesn't work in safe zone? I can detect ships just fine inside safe zone. Also the small radar acts as a passive detection radar. It has the same detection range (2 SU) as larger radars.
-
I'm sure there will be changes but drastic changes aren't needed like unable to fire over 10k km/h and further limiting ranges, that doesn't make any sense. Main problem I see now is small ships with large radar and large weapons limit the variety of PvP, pros and cons of a combat setup are not balanced. It just isn't interesting when there is one tactic that works better than everything else.

When will the space safe zone be removed?

I don't think solo has anything to do with it, just an attitude. Most solo players are doing just fine and know what to expect. -
Gigantic ships taking up landing pads at markets
Haunty replied to Fendalton's topic in General Discussions
Ejecting/teleporting the ship outside of the market area after some time might be better than deleting. Temporary storing ship in a virtual garage could work, but NQ would have to make some physical thing where you go to manifest your ship again. Magic blueprint wouldn't make sense because then people would just use the districts to create magic blueprints so they can transport things without mass/volume. -
I was thinking of this too, would probably be the easiest and quickest way, even if a bit arbitrary. But all the existing ships out there would have to be invalidated somehow

According to patch notes today it sounds like there may be a way to reset these elements now? At least that's what this sounded like to me: Improvements • [Inventory] Added an inventory button that allows removing dynamic properties over selected items • [Inventory] Added feedback on items that have "nonSpecialized" dynamics

When will the space safe zone be removed?

Who knows, maybe NQ will keep the inner triangle a safe zone. I don't really mind either way. -
If targeting range depends on the size of the core of the targeted but not the targeting, I can see that as a possible imbalance. I expect changes to come at some point.

OK I'll try it again, maybe it was bugged

I'd even be happy with one item only but multiple container inputs, can't even do that.

Vertical atmospheric are not efficient for hauling, but if you have wings they should mostly shut off when you get enough speed flying (at least they do when I tested it recently). Instead of using C you can just point towards the ground and fly forward to it.

Water hexes on Sanctuary have no ore deposits?
Haunty replied to Ambaire's topic in General Discussions
I'd guess a bugged scan? I mine on water hexes all the time -
You can't use it with existing accounts yet from what I've heard, only new ones. I've been waiting for that to be fixed before I send any invites out.

I'd guess your video card is the weakest link, followed by the CPU, DU is pretty demanding on both right now. You could try turning down voxel quality, turn off clouds, motion blur, and dof

inconsistency in the amount of required materials - Cement crafting
Haunty replied to MrFreux's topic in General Discussions
I wonder if it is a bug, because if you only want 1 run it should do 1 run, if you want like 100 runs then it should batch them. -
Does anyone find the game playable without owning industry?
Haunty replied to joaocordeiro's topic in General Discussions
I'm just a solo indy person right now. Setting myself up takes priority but I have put some things on market and plan to put up warp cells and other things soon too, and I usually can undercut the existing sellers quite a bit and still make a decent profit. Just takes time to acquire resources and set up indy to mass produce things. The bugs/performance issues aren't helping either, so I imagine things to get better. Jita wasn't built in a day. -
Observations from a systems engineer
Haunty replied to Dupont's topic in The Gameplay Mechanics Assembly
If you're curious there is some info here on that: http://blog.actor-framework.org/2014-12/spotlight-dual-universe/ Was a while ago so some things may be different today. -
It is down for and update at the moment. They post these announcement in the Discord only for now.
-
I would ask them for an update in your ticket. Also NQ mentioned in discord they are thinking of reimbursing subscribers with a free month, more details to be announced later.
-
Latest announcements posted in Discord first is pretty common in other games I follow. And then major announcements posted in forum or email at a later time. It's not even a major announcement, it's an acknowledgement saying they are working on something that they will announce in the coming days. If you want information, you go to where the information is, simple.

The problem with saying when something will be fixed is that it is often not accurate, so it is best not to declare a when unless the when can be determined accurately.
