  1. 1) that is a bug. Contact an NQ rep on discord and they will teleport the construct back to you. you might need to send your log files. 2) on my screen, when I right click a blueprint and inspect it, it popped up in a little window and there was a tiny scroll bar on the right.. or did I scroll the mouse? I do know it scrolled.
  2. I’m pretty sure you can figure that out for yourself...
  3. I’m sure they will fix it if you explain this to them. After raising the ticket, contact any NQ-??????? named official rep on Discord with your ticket number to tell them you’ve done so. I’ve found they respond very quickly. good luck.
  4. Well, technically, since you’re asking for a refund for a beta product you’re not that interested in being a customer, so...
  5. You can’t even change your email address, currently, without raising a ticket.
  6. 1) For the love of all thing logistic, NQ, please provide a full set of inventory management LUA commands. We want to know what’s in our containers and the associated volume... Worst of all, having to rely on weight to calculate volume contained in a container gets old quickly and is useless for mixed loads. Some 20th century refrigerators have better programming and inventory than your nanocontainers!!! 2) how about providing some form of system level auditing or ability to record drop offs and removals at a LUA level. Player I’d, Product deposited and volume/mass for example. Might need to work in conjunction with an activation sensor or something. 3) please stop making the container hub the centre of mass -yeah, I know it was super-simple to program it that way- but please calculate it using the mass distributed among the containers just like what you did when the containers weren’t linked. We often want the hub to be placed in an aesthetically pleasing/easy to access location, but having 1200T of weight suddenly attributed to your dashboard rather than the container section of your vessel can make it dangerous or impossible to fly with the centre of mass shift this causes in heavily loaded or delicately balanced constructs. 4) more of a convenience factor, but how about making the container hub programmable so that it doesn’t need a PB separately? It’s “looks”programmable. 5) same thing goes for fuel containers. Please allow us to dertermine volume and fuel type programmatically and enable us to record who is adding/removing fuel. 6) allow us to poll consumption rates and activate/deactivate fuel lines on a link by link basis. Maybe even provide a way to limit maximum consumption. 7) how about allowing the container hub to enter “fuel hub mode” if connected to fuel containers instead of regular containers? That way we could combine multiple smaller tanks seamlessly and not have to fill and manage them independently. ? yeah, I know the 8 was amusingly turned into a smilie. this is just a random shower-musing, but how about making the little screen on the PB/container hub addressable in some way? It would be cool for a simple icon or colour change or even a bit of text or a button close up. Or how about a little bar graph or dial on the side of each container to show how full it is.
  7. Every alpha player comes with five burner accounts for free. Expect a lot more of this. also, never give newcomers the keys to your castle. F7 is your (oft cantankerous and stubborn) friend.
  8. I just want to be able to click an element once when in link mode and instantly everything it is linked to also glows until I click something else. This feature (like many in this game) is infuriatingly underdeveloped, currently.
  9. If you’re not worried about underwater landing gear, you don’t even need a telemeter. This can be accomplished just by linking a hover engine to the core and using (iirc) the distance() method.
  10. BZZZT... Wrong, but you probably thought you were right, because well, reasons.... The game was meant to be playable offline. That was a promise form the earliest days of the DDFs. When they tried to sneak the removal of offline mode from the roadmap, the forums went ballistic. thus they were forced to create private (solo) mode. Effectively an offline mode that still synced with the live galaxy for market prices etc. what was controversial was that activities by the solo players also influenced the BGS (background simulation) without the soloists being at risk from the hankers. Despite your random aspersions and attempt to use another game as leverage to assert that your viewpoint here is somehow more valid, FDEV never nerfed anything. Elite was that way from day one at the request of the majority of kickstarter and alpha backers (pvp was listed by less than 20% of the players as a desirable feature in a mega -20k responses- vote. FDEV stubbornly refused constant and rabbid PvP faction requests to remove solo. So in actuality, they did the exact opposite of what you claim and never bowed down to player pressure on the role of PvP vs Solo/Private. fun fact: a lot of pvpers got pissed off because the only other people on their servers by the end of 2018 were other pvpers who would put up too much of a fight and not be the bend-over-and-take-it-like-a-man “soft target” players who just wanted to mine and trade with only a spot of NPC bother from time to time .. many PvPers left after that... shows their character. so you’re right, I hope NQ DON’T listen to the whiners and whingers and continue to make they game they promised.
  11. 1L can't get 100T out of Alioth? That's just weird. For me, my 3L atmo 4L space freighter can lift 1000T out of Alioth. But it has 12 M wings for atmo lift and doesn't use its VTOL engines when loaded. Fly horizontally, building up speed. Once it starts to reach 1000kph, start to edge upwards to about 2.5k~3k... and level off, regaining some speed if needed (try to hit 900 or so) Then ease upwards (I go about 30 degrees) and you'll soon reach 3.6k or whatever height it is where your space engines kick in and propel you to orbit... You don't need more than about 1G of L atmo thrust lift to get you high up if you are using wings, but you'll need >>1G space thrust (probably >1.5G) to leave Alioth in a timely fashion without wasting too much fuel. -- edit: the L atmo engines and space engines are buffed with "thrust handling" skills and the pilot has thrust management piloting skills.
  12. I have had to remove the items from the queue and re-queue them a few times before... Also check the containers.... It's buggy af... Not sure why it suddenly works after faffing around, either... LOL
  13. Not really, because the ships will be solely min/maxed to destroy, whereas the non pvpers will be trying to do something work related which will reduce their effectiveness and hence make them basically toast. Also, even at 29,999 speed you can be targeted and destroyed by missiles that travel faster than DU's light speed from ships you can't even see... so having an escort is meaningless.
  14. Quite possibly. Without having a proper, official poll with a large Response rate. It will be ahrd to say. also, the no PvP was why many stopped playing elite, too. they used fly around the noob zone and shoot all the beginners. When the beginners all quit open and moved in to solo, the PvPers whined for a bit and then moved on to other games. poor souls.
  15. It’s always fun seeing the PvPers fight for global (universal?) PvP. In elite, the PvP crowd keep pushing, year after year, to abolish solo mode (solo mode is where you can only meet NPCs) and private group mode (invite only)... there was a vote on ED which had over 10,000 responses about preferred roles. exploration, trading, mining were on their own, right out in front with piracy and PvP were miles behind. Yet the PvPers were/are there like mosquitos that don’t go away, trying to force their gameplay style on everyone else. The seal clubbing (PvPers against noobs) got so bad that FDEV were forced to create a noob only region that further divided the players into separate sandboxes, to the point where you can fly for days and not meet a single soul... In ED PvP is pointless for anyone not 100% invested in that gameplay style because PvP centric builds will destroy anything even remotely geared towards an actual in game trade like mining or NPC bounty hunting and the only recourse is to keep jumping away from them repeatedly, which gets old real quick... In the end, it just turns into a toxic farce with the small minority that comprises the PvPers trying to force non PvPers to fight them... and complaining when they are only accompanied by their fellow PvPers (Who they won’t fight because the potential mutual damage incurred and time lost fighting a similarly armed opponent in a PvP centric specialized build would be considered a waste) with no willing victims. i would be curious to know what percentage of players comprise the PvP centric player base in this game, but I suspect it would be less than 50%.
  16. Surely there must be a way that anything up to, say, 200m3 in steps of 10m3 could be set as a single batch and anything over that size is performed in 200m3 batches.... but then, I’m not privy to how they set up their industry processes on their server (probably with inflexible and fixed batch sizes) and why they literally only just realised now that their current system was untenable.
  17. Not completely broken. I have made four bloops and the first three worked perfectly. the fourth one (M core) appeared naked (no voxels, elements only) but the next day when I logged in, it was all there.
  18. “Why should i play this game?” I’ve never met you, I don’t know you. You tell me... There are so many different reasons to choose games, and so many games to choose from; no one knows better than yourself what you want from and like in games... since you’ve already gone and set yourself up and pre-loaded for a negative answer, anything opinionwise we say here will likely fall upon deaf ears anyway: you’ve apparently made up your mind. So it’s a question you’re going to have to answer by yourself, IMO.
  19. Anyone know how to fix this? I spawned an old blueprint with 6 L hovers and 6 L vertical atmospheric engines. It used to hover nicely and just sip the glass but now the hovers don’t activate unless it is overloaded and it burns through its fuel in less than 30 minutes. basically it’s relying on 6 L atmos to hover and the Hovers are disables 95% of the time. why does NQ keep breaking things!? This used to work as expected.
  20. Really not sure why they did what they did to the login window. I’ve never seen one that obfuscated both login and password like that. it also annoys me because I have three accounts that varied very slightly in email and password that just required a couple of letters changed in each but now I have to input the whole lot. Also, when I come back the next day, I can’t tell who was logged in last so I have to type the email and password again or risk wasting anywhere up to 5+ minutes waiting to log in. my beta has been generally smoother than the alpha with a few exceptions starting about three days ago (constant HTTP kicks) and yesterday, mining was down to about 1/3 regular speed with constant pending operations and a now joined by a new two-line error code I’ve never seen before. still, this is “beta” (basically marketing term for late alpha) access, so I’m cool with that. also in Tokyo where I live, $7 will get you a BigMac with fries and a drink upgraded to medium. that’s a reasonable price IMO considering some of us backers paid $180 or more for an Alpha.
  21. There have a really been some well attended events. Such as race to the moon and a Thades canyon race. There were also some non racing REALLY well attended events, one such remarkable event being the Alioth Air Expo where over 600 constructs were simultaneously present.
  22. Pretty much what I’ve been saying all along. as long as the triple planet safe zone remains, though, I think things will turn out fine. IMO, they should never remove that but just create more and more planets outside of the safe zone to encourage sorties into riskier areas.
  23. I was not aware of org cores costing progressively more to deploy... TCUs in the other hand...
  24. It wasn’t always like this. The current flight control script has nice features (hover height setting, for example) but it causes the craft to fly erratically if it has a lot of lift, bobbing up and down and lowers the priority of the hover engines lower than that of vertical boosters - and worse - the atmospheric engines. My Lua-foo isn’t up to snuff yet so I’m not able to fix this particular issue without going back to an older script that I kept from a couple of alphas ago. But this loses ALT-Space and ALT-C height control. I had hoped there was a simple fix but it appears to require Lua.
  25. I started an alt and I had to wait about 15 minutes at 100% to log in. I thought the game had crashed and was on the verge of alt-f4ing. but decided to leave it and did something else. 15 minutes later, Aphelia’s voice suddenly blurted out, surprising TF out of me.
