  1. so in short no real answer, yeah the guns will come. In the darkness of nightfall they will be waiting for you, the moment you least expect it.
  2. Yeah, i won Tabula Rasa that way, was a glorious victory
  3. so a bunch of ganking agressive threathening cutthroats is killing of miners and with that they won a game based on 6 pillars of which PvP is only one? Would it be possible to have a mission statement, development goals and clear leadership posted? It would be good to see who won DU. To be succesful in the long term any organization should have clear goals, charismatic leadership and possibility of personal groth, cant find any of that in this or other posts, till then Legion probably is a loose bunch of cutthroaths picking easy fights to gain as much loot as possible, aka low grade Pirates. At least with the BoB there is honor in being a Pirate.
  4. Indeed my opinion, and shared with atleast 70 others i know off, but this is not a pissing contest. I think we both can agree there were some grave judgement and development errors made in the resent past.
  5. The game was viable till 0.23 with whatever pvp we had, if i would guess the head chopping had to do with 0.23 where they lost thousands of players, and in the aftermath with the schematics scam where they lost even more. But Pride prevented any return on decisions and we are left with the debree.
  6. No idea where they are needed for, to frustrate people? hold them back? money sink? Because decent development of a research approach to crafting was never tried? Because nanananana? till this day i have not seen a single reason why they are needed that makes sence. But apparently the schematics were needed more then a few thousand alpha players who really stopped playing in the week following the introduction. And all is well with a good reason or explanation, but none is given.
  7. indeed, this was never a mining update. not even close to that, if you want to enforce pvp there need to be reasons to actually need pvp, dropping asteroids with stuff in a pvp zone is a guaranteed to win upgrade then, for both pvp as for salt
  8. Thats nothing, some people are calling this out since the beginning, Myself im relative late with my 2018 start and even i feel like a veteran in complaining about "features"
  9. Sorry to say but this is really nothing new. It has always been like this, sometimes better, sometimes worse. same as the constant lag, its a feature. its part of the way DU is coded
  10. Probably around 90% is now having it in the backseat
  11. another crash bites the dust, at the moment i can log in, make one right turn walk 10 feet and die. think we got a "kill Bill" Bug
  12. why do we get updates every day? 1 gb today, any pathcnotes?
  13. Glamour Is the ultimate endgame. Waiting for automining too but in the meantime it is good to have asteroids, would be even better if we get meteors that crash on planetary surface with random ore
  14. Tip: either come back everyday to get the 150k quanta or dont bother to return, nothing will change atleast that is the expected outcome of the 0.23 massacre. the 150k everyday will make it possible to slowly buildup your schematics
  15. Also have those and a lot more since the new and improved visuals.
  16. yep, so the reason we dont get them probably still is performance, best to just fix that. and indeed @DrDerpthere are things needed sooner, but if we only get updates to systems or opening quests then they can add the cores too.
  17. Yep true, but thats why some of us play games like DU, just to DU it. My initial plan was even bigger then the 1 km vessel and at that point it was realistic with the DU predictions at that time. After a few sets of limitations a citysize ship is less usefull and the idea of having a dynamic city is less likely to occur but still im planning to build it. Why? just because, Its the same as why people raid FF14 or Aion every day till 3 there is no real gain, But why not. Setting realistic targets is for game development, for the players its just Go wild, go wilder and Yes please fail miserably, but you have tried. Is it economical insane to build it? Yes it is, but no pain, no gain. with the current DU prognoses i expect the city ship to be finished in 2030 but it will fly a lot earlier
  18. Nah, there is no struggle, at the moment i have the ship already build in SE at about 2 km and indeed, there might be no need for it but if we plan a mmo of DU then building all these (for majority of ships) soloplayer ships, and yes a large core ship can still be solo played, will never get us to the mater of collaboration needed. And i do agree with a lot of your points, but i believe that thinking small (in core sizes) will never get us there. nothing wrong with small ships but startrek and starwars would never be this big if they only flew shuttles. SE is a good example, smallgrit ships are perfectly fit to do anything in SE still most players build either large bases or large ships, although not needed.
  19. well, all the reasons thought about why xl cores are a pain will delay them even longer. There is a simple reason people want them, that is because they were already mentioned in the kickstarter program, Build a space station the size of a moon, build large cities, etc etc. We just need those cores to start building those mega structures we will need to finally get to space permanently and to prepare for travel among the stars. most ships here are over 600 meters, so 600 is the bare minimum for "larger cores" and untill we can really merge larger cores together into a single ship we will need even larger cores to actually build these mega projects. And simply, any reason why we dont need them or any limitation to not be able to is actually the end of the DU idea, this sandbox promiss of being able to build what we want and to build civilization comes and goes with the simples of things, what is the size of cores. And if this universe (ore) or this servertech cannot handle ships over 600 meters then it can never reach the potential it was once given. we dont need 150 engine types, 2000000 voxel types, we need the tech and stuff to actually build the future and civilization.
  20. @Pleione well I am still looking for people to build the first dynamic space city so your always free to help. Just need the promised dynamic cores that were going to be over a km.
  21. yes delete them or make it possible to get them through research. And do know that this whole question is meaningless if you dont have over 5000 answers
  22. Also, who requested energy, dont recall any of the people i know who requested that, they requested larger cores, limetless lua, better flight mechanism, more usefull PvP, translucent and transparent voxels, livstock, personal markets, stopping lag, recurring ore, deletion of schematics, and i can go on but never energy management.
