  1. I was looking at games like Second-Life and it's successor, Sansar. Those games are unique because it let's you create anything you want through 3rd-party-softwares like Blender and place them in what we call "Grid" (or space) in the game. The reason why I will not move there, is because you need Blender, animation, and C# programming skills, in short, these are all game-development-skills that are needed for you in order to create what you want and your fantasies in the game. Ofcourse, you can buy other people's work, but without being good with these skills(which all takes place outside the game), you will not be a "developer" in this game(other people's work are better, so you will buy those instead). You cannot be a "developer", and to be a developer, it's very hard in this game. So that is the reason why I am not playing Second-Life/Sansar.

In DU, there are no 3rd-party-softwares and everything are created in-game, which makes it easier.

My ideas, is we will create these things in DU's in-game itself, save those in blueprints, give us players an inventory to store our Blueprints(like in Forza Motorsports). Some of our programmers can program an E-bay/Kijiji/Amazon-like-website where shoppers can browse, auction/bid, sell/buy Blueprints (you can also include Resources and Elements in this lists). When the item is sold in the site, you will meet them in-game to do the trade and transactions. Then you will go back to the site to rate the seller/buyer and give them a positive-review or a +. This is a form of online-shopping and people may like to window-shop.

25cm is the smallest Voxel in this game and they can be sculpted to smaller details. I do not expect to see just ships in Blueprint. Take it to Sansar's level and go for furnitures and etc as well. The possibilities in this game is vast. I wanna see people in this game sell sets that you can stack. For example, I want fences that are created in terms of archaic-fashion(the developer will sculpt those very well to details) and sell them as sets, the same way as you buying sets of tiles/wood for the flooring of your house(this way, you have options to buy what you need as fundamental-parts and put them together yourself).

    7c7rlRK.jpg

There are 2 types of designs; "Modern" for efficiency, maintainability, simplicity, and reduction of costs. And we have "Archaic" for more detailed, style, fashion, artistic, and representation of culture, but it comes with a costs and the design is not simplified. The range of designs is between archaic and modern, a mixture of both and is leaning more towards one. Same as music, we have repetition and variation as range, when you listen to pop-music, there is a mixture of both, but pop-music is leaning more towards repetition because of the 3 or 4 repetitive-chords, the melody has some sort of variation.

I want people to take this game to art-level the same way as Sansar/Second-Life, this is a Sandbox-game. Not just ships and PVP-exclusive. In this way, we will be able to extend the roleplay to culture of art, which is unique to individuals. We all have different taste when it comes to art-preference. I want this to be a market in this game and I'll be happy to take part in it.

  2. Manageable/maintainable, beautiful, efficient, and Modern. Architecture will be based on architects' decision, but good urban-planning will be the most important for us in terms of city. And divide the city into districts(district-numbers).

In terms of Architecture, building higher skyscrapers will be the trend in the future because we can get more open-space from that in terms of limited-land. We want the presence of flying-cars as means of transportation(others are monorails, and etc).

In terms of Architecture, I've looked at the city called Academia in Final Fantasy XIII-2. What they did that is so interesting, are the buildings have terraces even at higher-floors and they connect these terraces to another nearby-building's terrace by means of bridge. You can just walk from there to another building. No need to go down to ground-floor to transfer to another building (also, terraces at higher-floors are good ambience. Couple this with an open-bridge like what you see in the picture). This seems very useful in tall-skyscrapers and can be implemented. I want this building-to-building interconnections. Terraces are big enough that flying-cars can land and park in them.

This, in my opinion, will be the ideal-city for me that is not built for the purpose of war. Activities can be done indoor, it's the future (we can have an indoor pool in there, an aquarium, hell, even an indoor-park/garden). This is my proposal.

  3. I went to Google-translate and translated "I went to school"; What I got from the translation is "나는 학교에 갔다."

That translation is only valid and correct for written-Korean, in other-words, this is how we write in Korean. But that form/conjugation is not correct/valid for spoken-korean(it has to be conjugated to spoken-forms). It's "gasseoyo", not "gassda" ("gassda" is only correct for written-Korean. "gassda" is how you should write in Korean).

So everything you will get in Google-translate is written-form for Korean(nothing for spoken. both are different. if you want spoken-Korean, you gonna have to learn the language yourself or get a human-translator). I don't know about Japanese since my Japanese is crap(it's crap because it's hard to read), but my guess, is you will get the same-thing.

P.S. I know Korean. Ending adjectives/verbs in "-da" is the written-form in Korean, no way do you speak like that colloquially. In Chinese, what you write is what you say colloquially. (I also know Chinese, and better than my Korean)

I can vouch that English to Chinese and Chinese to English translations in Google is very very good and almost flawless(the chinese to english one is a little awkward, but it's still understandable). It's because of the simplicity of the Chinese-grammar, we do not conjugate anything in chinese! the result of this, is a good computer-translation!

But not all languages are as difficult to translate as the Asian ones

"Difficult" in Western-perspective. Asian-languages have far easier grammar and syntax compare to the outside-languages. Pronunciation? They are easy to pronounce(except Vietnamese because too many Vowel-sounds), they are just different to Western-sounds, it's not impossible to learn. Easiest foreign-language for me to learn outside of English are the Asian-ones. I may sound bias because I'm Asian, but they are not hard compare to French, and even the grammar in Russian(porusski).

The only thing hard about Asian-languages, is the Chinese/Hanja/Kanji-writings because that writting-system is per root-word(many of them you have to memorize and they are not easy. I am half-Chinese, I can tell you the writing is hard). That's it. Grammar is not hard at all(even for Korean/Japanese).

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I want to buy that red-car and this green-car. = jeo bbalgan-cha-gwa i nogsaeg-cha-reul sago sipeo.

(where is the "I"? you don't need to mention the "I" because it is already obvious that it is about you. you are the first-person-speaker making the statement.)

(all modifying-adjective ends in -un/-n if they are noun. Colors are exception, you do not add -un/-n to colors, it sounds wierd!)

("sada" is dictionary-form of "to buy". -go is adjective-modifier to verb to complement another verb. if you want adverb-modifier to noun to complement a verb, it's -ge.)

(-gwa/-wa is the particle for "and". -hago is the particle for "as well as". -irang/-rang is the particle for "with", similar to Chinese "he" if you know what I mean.)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    there are 2 ways(or more) to conjugate for future-tense ( -eul/-l geo... or -gess...);

    I will buy that red-car and this green-car. = jeo bbalgan-cha-gwa i nogsaeg-cha-reul sal geo (yeyo)

(for future-tense, put -eul/-l particle after the verb/adjective and just add -geo.., plus the form. and yes, you must put space between the verb/adjective and -geo...)

    I will buy that red-car and this green-car. = jeo bbalgan-cha-gwa i nogsaeg-cha-reul sagesseo

(future-tense is -gess..., plus the form. example is meogesseo, meogesseoyo, meogesseupnida for "will eat".)

there is also an -eul/-l ge (yo), and eu ge (yo) form of future-tense. So you have 4 freaking ways to conjugate for future-tense!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I bought that red-car and this green-car. = jeo bbalgan-cha-gwa i nogsaeg-cha-reul sasseo.

(past-tense is add -ass.../-eoss.../-yess... depending on vowel-ending of verb/adjective, plus you got to include the form for ending. You don't say saasseoyo, the "a's" merge as one. It is sasseoyo for "bought".)

(past-tense of -hada is -hess..., plus the form; -hesseo, hesseoyo, -hesseupnida, whatever.)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Japanese and Korean are not hard grammatically, and I am not even Korean nor Japanese. It is not hard, except writing Chinese and Japanese, or pronouncing Vietnamese.

  5. You sir, are a contributor to DU-society, asking nothing in return. You could have done Organization-Ads for source of in-game-quanta-revenue, like how Insurance are advertised in radios by voice, but you did not choose any of these.

If only we have our concept of noble-peace-prize-award or national/foreign-recognition of honor, I will nominate you to it. :)

In the real world none of the leaders of large organizations or countries really fight or dirty there hands

They won't, and why would they? They are "Politicians", try to look at things at their perspective. They are individuals who also have their own self-interest. But ofcourse, they will not admit to it. They have to maintain their image to the public, so the masses will support their campaign. Do you think doing public-service is in their heart? Very few politicians are like that.

Think of Kim Jong Un; do you really think he will or wants to go to war with the US? He is doing it only as a mechanic to gain public-persuasion and to continue to remain in absolute-power and keep that status. Kim Jong Un is the leader of North Korea, he is not North Korea itself and he will not think for the collective-interest of the country, but for himself.

Same with Hitler, I have seen a documentary, and he tried to avoid war with Britain and France at all possible costs. But the Allies will not accept his negotiation after the invasion of Poland and it ended in war. He was very cautious, he doesn't even want to bomb London.

If I am the leader, why would I put myself in that position, given that I am a typical-politician? I will do bad-things if necessary, but I will do it for my benefit. Real-Public-Servant are nationalistic(they are rare), typical-politicians are not. It is hard to ignore the fact that we all have self-interest.

because not everyone likes constant pvp and ganked fest

Exactly, and definitely not myself! If I'm not PVP, then it's PVE. What is PVE in this game? It's personal-progress, not just Organization-progress. Most Organizations in this game are so PVP-based, including their policies and implementations. Very few to none have I seen any Organization lay-out a system(a good developed system) for private-economy that is beneficial for PVE-progress. A Republic-system that you will work on building yourself and contribute to society for the sake of working together to achieve common-goals.

EVE is to blame for this! F*** that game that it carried here!

Yes but can it spin as fast? :P

I'll probably try making both XD thanks for the suggestions!

The point of spinning is for turning, isn't it?(you will turn, but you will not do more than 360-degrees. it will be pointless to keep spinning endlessly.)

A Gunship like Apache and even armed-scout-helicopters has do this maneuver. Point is to look for enemies and gun them down, while ofcourse, not losing your platform. You also have to turn to change direction of Heading. The tail-rotor of a real-life-helicopter is not only for countering the Torque-Effect, it is also needed to turn the helicopter, otherwise, it won't be able to change Heading.

That is what you need; You don't need spinning like beyblade, you need Turning. Yes, you can turn fast, if you 100% the engine and you idle(0%) the other-opposite-engine. Remember; Fixed-Turn = (Aft-Port = Front-Port) + (Aft-Starboard = Front-Starboard) . It isn't gonna work properly if it isn't. I know how helicopter works.

  9. I chose Designer (Mechanical + Systems-Engineer to be precise). Gonna do what you're good at! I'm also interested in Entrepreneurship, but it is bleeding-hard to look for a country that has this ideal of Private-sector-economy and public(tax)-fundings of public-infrastructure(such as Ports and logistics like roads) that will make doing businesses cheaper and easier in the country. It will put the country in competitiveness-chart and may even attract FDI(foreign-direct-investment. 100% owned or partially-foreign-owned with local-partner). No Organization I've seen has that ideal, which makes Entrepreneurship hard. Oh well! That is the economic-way to look at things, not the martial-way.

  10. @Vellnn The thing is, it has to be capable of moving forward and yawing(spinning/turning). To do that, just put 2 engines on both ends. If you get the same output-Thrust from both the engines, your UAV will move forward, if there is a difference, you will turn it. To make a faster-rate-of-turn, then that difference have to be big(one is outputting a lot of thrust, while the other is so less to nothing = faster-rate-of-turn). You will program these engines to have their own throttle-lever-control(macro them to keys in your keyboard). You can do a starboard/port-turn by differential-thrust(you cannot do that with a third-engine on the middle, unless you shut that one down).

A third-engine on the middle, it is not efficient to have it on your design. Go with just 2, that's enough for maneuverability. It's just a UAV, you need maneuverability, that's it.

Speaking of Engineering though, why not just choose an aft-side and a forward-side in that quadrilateral, and just put 2 engines on the Aft-side and another 2 engines on Forward-side? That will be enough for forward(straight)-thrust and differential-thrust(turning/spinning). why also fill the other 2 sides with engines to do the exact same-thing and have 2 vectors instead of one?  You will program all those engines!!! Those are 8 engines right there, plus the vertical-ones! When you program those for control, you have 2 vectors, meaning 2 sides can be an aft-side, which you also included the sides of the already-Aft-and-Front as another vector(you just need one aft and one opposite to it(a front) to remain fixed like a helicopter!). That is hard, an act of complicating simple-engineering-things, inefficient and unnecessary.

My advice, just choose one side as an Aft("aft" means "back-side") and put 2 engines, put 2 engines on the forward(the opposite)-side as well to counter the Aft for centrifugal-force/fixed-Torque(fixed-position-turning), put the vector(vertical)-engines(my suggestion is atleast 2 engines for Rolling. With just 1, you cannot Roll.), put another 2 vector-engines opposite of your up-vector-engines(for fixed-position-rolling), then you can work on programming these which is the hard-part.

    Goodluck!

The bit I am proposing does not include the education system. Just the competency testing. The "Education system" will start with the in game tutorials and then probably continue with tutorials published elsewhere (YouTube etc).

A Trades-Seal then? In other words, an "apprenticeship to a journeyman"-program. Well, that's the point of Certification. Certification is acknowledgement of completion of training, if we are talking about Trades, then it's practical-training. You said "recognition of competence", that is Trades-Seal, in Canada(only in Canada), we call it Red-Seal. Point of it, is recognition of competence in the field(meaning you are no longer an Apprentice).

Ofcourse, things like this, it can only be recognized in and within your Guild-Structure(aka your Country), unless we will have our own International-standards. If you graduate from an Engineering-program from another-country, don't you know that you can't use that in Canada? You can, if there is an International-standards. In terms of Aerospace-Engineering, we were taught the Aviation-Regulation of Canada(that is based in CARS. For Manufacturing, we follow the American-standards), it is all different across the globe, and how would I know the regulations of FAA and other foreign-standards if I didn't studied them? Even Japanese-Railway-standards are different. Only standards applicable to a country is recognized. Unless ofcourse, we have an International-standards or portable-standards between countries. For example; Driver's License. In Canada, an American Driver's License is a recognized-equivalent because their standards are the same (Same road and sign rules, same strictness and length-procedure. but in other country, it's different). You can exchange your American Driver's License with minimal due-process, because in Canada, it takes ****ing 3-years to get your graduated-Driver's-License.

Unless there is portability(Guild-to-Guild) or International-Standards, your Trades-Seal will only be recognized within your Guild(Country). Your Guild will have it's own competence-regulation. Regulation and law has it's due-process, you will minimize it and make the process simpler, ofcourse, without compromising competence.

    It lacks a boost.

On his diagram, there is only 1 rocket on 1 outboard per side. That means 1 outboard will be propelled, and the other outboard will stay in one-place. Due to it being a quad, it will rotate. If the UAV rotates, how can it ever accelerate? You cannot have velocity without a vector. Something have to remain fixed in order for it to move and have velocity. No matter how much thrust-output you put in it, it will only be caught in the Centrifugal-Force. It's not the thrust-output or "boosts", it's the way you configured the diagram.

Whilst, you fill both outboards as in the video, then it might work in the physics of the game. His diagram is different than your video.

    kW8w2Po.jpg

  13. Then you need 2 of these Engines facing the same-direction on each sides of your quadrilateral (both near the perpendicular-line, the outboards of each sides), as shown in the video. If you put just 1 engine in only 1 outboard per side, ofcourse, you will yaw it, causing it to spin.

If you can program these engines, then you can do a rate-of-turn.

Engines and Liquid-Fuel-Rockets are not the same. While you can control the injector-valves of a liquid-fuel-rocket, they are not the same. Typically, we use rockets for disposable-guidance, like for missiles and rocket-battery. For non-disposable like this UAV that you proposed, an engine is more suitable.

What you are proposing is similar to a quad-UAV that has it's own machine-gun-pod and FLIR. We have that in real-life.

    Datron_Scout_Aerial_Reconnaissance_Syste

If we have a propeller or a hover-disk in this game where you can tilt the swashplate to direct the lift for direction, then it will be more efficient than using engines on the sides.

  14. given that output-thrust remains the same for all rockets, your "invention" will just stay in one-position horizontally with no acceleration. Explain to me how it can accelerate?  No matter what you do, it cannot, because of Centrifugal-Force, there will be the Torque-Effect, meaning nothing will remain fixed, so no acceleration. Unless you plan to use Kinetic-Force to launch and throw it like a boomerang.

  15. So if you wanna run a school-system, you must create a good curriculum and have a Ministry of Education within your Guild that will receive Public-fundings in order to operate and supervise the education-standards up to post-secondary-level. They must ensure that education-system within the country remains globally competent. Ofcourse, you are gonna have Foreign-Students/International-Students, they must be approved and pay more tuition than domestic-students.

Diplomas? You will make them online and the ministry himself will actually sign it(via paint-tool). So it's harder to fake! He will sign it and it will go on the department-records.

    example;

    001ec94a1ea10fadcba242.jpg

  16. So you wanna create this Trades-field for this Industry? A "certificate" is for Trades (example; Welding)

    My ideas;

*have a Polytechnical-Institute that will teach students the basic of technicalities.

*make a standard-Logbook of tasks graduated-students/apprentices must complete in training/on-job-training that graduated-superior/s must sign in order to validate their completion of training.

*make a rank for the Industry that will define experience and also pay; apprentice < journeyman < master

*make a red-seal(that's what we call it in Canada) or whatever for graduated-apprentice, a journeyman-technician in other terms, that will represent acknowledgement in competence regarding the field. Ofcourse, once they meet all the requirements and experience, they have to write and pass a red-seal-exam.

What I'm pointing-out here, are processes for Technicians. Technician is a blue-collared-job.

How about Prof.-Engineers? They must go to University and complete their higher-education and earn their Bachelor's degree(ofcourse, they have a choice to continue their education and go for an Academic-Degree. A Master's Degree in Science & IT where you will be referred to as a Doctor or a Physicist). After graduation, students must complete a PPE(an exam) in order to be considered a licensed-practitioner (you cannot be literally considered an "Engineer" just because you graduated from an Engineering-program! You have to be licensed, and for that, you have to pass the PPE and meet the academic-requirements.)

To run an Institute/University, you must have a competent school-board and certified-professors. Some of these professors, they coordinate the materials they themselves teach. Materials that are up to the industry-standards and recent(not out-of-date).

An education-system like this will prepare people to be competent and productive in the industry. It will also be a bragging-rights. Give us schools like the Harvard-University. Ofcourse, education does not define how competent you are, but it should act as a reinforcement to solidify your portfolio. This should define influence also.

  17. The word you are looking for is "Actuators". (they work mainly Hydraulically. Some can pneumatically or electrically<with motor> work).

    linear-actuator_650x387.jpg

The attaching-rod is called a piston. But to call this whole-thing a "piston", it sounds like you are talking about otto-engines (the piston is inside that cylinder-bore). Call this thing actuators, it's just easier to understand.

Yeah, the idea of Actuators will be great! It extends and retracts. The function is simple, only extending and retracting in linear-form. This kind of thing is basic of mechanical. The fork on a fork-lift, how do you think it can lift the fork? It has Actuators that mechanically-works with a motor to raise the Mast and it uses mechanical-chain(like in bicycles) to lift the fork. That's how it works, and this is basic-engineering! An ICBM-mobile-launcher, how do you think it points the missile upwards?

    auto14517072741891818409.jpg

    Bearing-joints and actuators!

Even with robotics, this is how it works. Oh yeah, JC has robotics-background, so I do not doubt this idea came to their mind already.

  18. @blazemonger Then can you explain to me this "risk vs reward"-thing that the EVE-community kept on spatting about? There are risks, but I don't think there are any rewards. You people blew $1Million on B-R5RB, destroyed many Titans that costs $3K each, for what? Exactly, there were no rewards. It's just anarchy.

What you said about DU, I can understand fully. You take your construct out of the safezone, it will be persistent there. Point is, I am willing to take the risk and go beyond the planet, for our own expedition-purpose. But I will not risk everything, I'm gonna have my own properties in safezone/s and I will expand them. I will also have some properties in hostile-zones, that to every of my understandings, has to be defended.

The difference between EVE and DU; EVE is nothing but Afghanistan. If any of you know that game better, explain.

  19. Know the details before you judge the game completely! Before I even Backed this game up, I did research on the details, and I ended-up choosing this game over Ashes of Creation. Know the details, because your speculations are wrong! If this is indeed "like" EVE completely, then I wouldn't have Backed this game and even paid attention to it. EVE is just garbage, no offence! The *, what is the point of even building or progressing through the game if they can all be destroyed with no protection? Everything is a hostile-zone in EVE, major-reason I didn't even gave a damn about it!
