Aeonian Federation
March 2019 Press Release
The month of March has seen a host of new AFED programs, promotions, and more. AFED was proud to announce the relaunch of the Requite Program, an initiative dedicated to helping ease new organizations into an AFED membership.
With that said, we are also excited to announce our first participant, New Roma. We are happy to include them in the Requite Program and hope that membership within the Federation is something beneficial for them.
We are also proud to announce the first Aeonian Federation commission, the Commission for Proverbial Welfare, or CPW. The CPW is in charge of handling all of our programs, projects, and initiatives; both foreign and domestic (except the Requite Program).
This new commission also saw the first round of Staff Promotions, with three of our most dedicated staff members being selected for these Commissioner positions:
- The War Doctor
- Stoat
- RexMctavish
AFED has also hit an amazing milestone of 60 members on the portal page. While not being a massive number, we appreciate the continued community support and plan to grow more over the coming months.

Aeonian Federation
"The light in the ever-expanding dark"

Overview:
The Aeonian Federation (AFED) is a federation-based organization. We strive to promote an environment of peace, prosperity, and support for our citizens and our member states. After our merge with the DUA, we have done some major restructuring regarding our citizenship, divisions, and organization membership.
AFED is made up by two major sectors: the Civilian Sector and the Government Sector.

Civilian Sector:
The Civilian Sector is made up of all of AFED's citizens. Citizens receive the full benefits of membership within AFED and can participate in any AFED-sanctioned events.

Government Sector:
The Government Sector is made up of the 5 Divisions within AFED. Government staff receive increased benefits, can participate in AFED-sanctioned events, join an AFED commission / committee, and can propose programs to the Directorate.
Membership within the Government Sector is not mandatory, but there are incentives to join the Divisions, which are as follows:
- Division of Internal Affairs
- Division of Foreign Affairs
- The Industrial Division
- Division of Public Relations
- The Aegis Division
Each Division is open to staff applications and each offer their own set of perks and benefits.

Member States:
AFED also offers a membership option for organizations looking for economic support, security, etc. Organizational Membership within AFED is extremely open and not infringing on said organization's sovereignty. The only requirement for membership is the Non-Aggression Pact held between all of AFED's member states; which allows us to ensure that we deliver on our promise of a peaceful and prosperous environment.

You need to take down that video. And Sorry if I care greatly for DU, this is one of the greatest games ever. I would like to see it Succeed.
While your passion is admirable, the video is an advertisement for Meridian Jumpworks. It's not trying to pass those ships off as being from DU, it's just an exciting video that aims to increase recruitment for the organization. You'll be hard-pressed to find many organization adverts or promos that actually use DU ships; mainly because the NDA stops us from "showing off" cool-looking ships (that NQ hasn't publicly shown that is). Unless you're trolling of course, in which case ya got me.

With Afed joining Arch alliance the total alliance list shown in DI yesterday is already 1 shorter.

But we're not technically an alliance, we're a federation-based org; so I'm not quite sure why we keep getting tagged as an "alliance group." We have a core member base of AFED-only members, along with our member orgs. Maybe the "new" AFED still has yet to get rid of the old image of AFED, as we were an alliance group then.

For some reason, I can't recall doing one of these, so why not get it out of the way?
My name is Tyler, but I am more commonly known as MasterChiefMKI (or MCMKI now). In the real world, I work for a company called [REDACTED] that provides multimedia services for businesses that can't afford to hire a full-time editor/artist. In the digital world, I've always stuck to FPS's and survival games, so Dual Universe is somewhat new territory for me.
I joined the DU community mid-2017 and by (almost) 2019, I've played and continue to play a lot of different roles. Most notably, and my favorite, is my role as owner and host of the SpartanCast; a podcast covering a wide variety of different topics. I also founded and currently run the Dual Universe Yellow Pages, the Didact Development Group, and the MultiMedia Freelancers. My last role so far is my position within the Aeonian Federation as Director of Foreign Affairs.
I find that giving back to the community to be my favorite part of the experiences I've had so far, and so I will continue to do so. It is my hope that my contributions can make at least one person have a better / more fun experience in-game and in this community in general.

And in this context, the usage of "ulterior" is more to enforce the idea that the agreement allows for collaboration outside of what was explicitly listed in the agreement.

Very happy to see more and more groups deciding to cover community news. I would like to see more organizations be covered rather than just the top 10.
From the negative feedback I've seen in the various Discords I'm in, the crux of the issue is the perceived bias in the reporting and coverage of various stories as well as the owner's interesting history in DU. Personally, I think Dual Insider balances out Ark Central in a way that allows you to get the full extent of the story, and I will continue to watch both outlets.
