  1. Based on what we have seen so far of the ship building you should be able to create whatever sort of ships you want, even massive ones. As to problems you will encounter: Cost. Gathering all of the resources or buying them for massive ships like this will be a pain if you are by yourself, especially in the beginning of the game. Physics. Building in DU requires that the ship function much like a real ship, so you have to account for the game's physics. This includes engine and thruster placement and possibly even aerodynamics. Crew. Getting 8 friends on to fly the Valenroth should be pretty easy, but getting 685 people on to fly the Centurion will be nearly impossible unless the game explodes in popularity. For reference, the largest single organization right now has about 447 people.
  2. Yes interesting .... One DAC probably won't be enough to sway anyone's loyalty before release, since most people already have quite a few. Also, what does your org do? You should include more info in your recruiting post so that people know what it is. Welcome and good luck though
  3. I like this idea. The only thing I'll say is that having groups listed as either allies or enemies may be too simplistic for the game
  4. I agree. I love the idea of a good old fashioned buy out
  5. The reason most groups don't use teamspeak or mumble yet is that there aren't really any large scale (20+) voice events going on at the moment, so it doesn't make sense to pay for a server no one uses yet
  6. We are not terrorists. Good luck and have fun
  7. Most orgs use discord right now, but when the game launches I guarantee that most large orgs will get teamspeak or mumble
  8. First off, I want to make sure you know that the game is not playable yet. If you get one of the higher packages you can participate in the game's testing phases when they become available in a few months, but don't expect these phases to be polished or complete. The actual game will release towards the end of 2018 or early 2019. 1. Like has been mentioned, the game is a sandbox so as long as you don't violate the EULA or TOS you can do whatever you want. 2. There will be expansion packs but they will be free for everyone. As long as you pay your subscription you will be able to play with all content.
  9. lol wot. You really need to read things before you buy them. Even by the original schedule, beta would still be almost a year away. If you are looking for a completed game, this is not it, not yet. Come back in two years. That is correct. The alpha was delayed a few months, which is normal. We should hopefully be getting more news about that soon
  10. Yes, I think that would be the best way
  11. It'd also be a great way for some people to make some great parodies
  12. I am both intrigued and disgusted by this thread .....
  13. I agree. I like the idea of needing the larger cores to build massive constructs. I hope the bigger sizes have similarly higher build costs to make so as to balance things out a bit.
  14. lol no that would be a little dumb. I think they have the art for the different sizes somewhere, but can't remember where
  15. I took a look. You still have a ways to go before I would say your videos are high quality (you should really record in at least 720p) but you have definitely improved a lot since the last time I looked. Good job
  16. There will be several sizes of cores ranging from small to large
  17. I agree. I mean eventually we want it to be finished (this isn't SC lol) but we are here to watch them build the game and help them test it.
