  1. this will be especially painful in the "early days" of patch 0.23 when there are no cores for sale and only certain players are even able to produce them. The you not only lose your ship but can't do anything about it
  2. Such changes do make sense and I think everyone can see that. It does add a lot of gameplay (potentially) at some point. But just not YET. It only decreases gameplay options for now because DU is just not there yet. Smaller orgs and solo players who don't want to bother too much with others are severly hampered because they simply can't build the industry neccessary for their building endeavours. That means they're bound to use the markets (which is good I guess, tho it's very forced) - which will be empty for some time until ppl actually start to sell stuff. And this also means that they need LOTS of quanta to even buy those elements which they can't produce which means they HAVE TO mine (only source of income) to get quanta. But this also leads to even more non regenerating ore being deleted from the game. On top of that, many ppl don't rly enjoy mining. To most of them it's simply a thing that has to be done to do other stuff. And before anyone screams "buuuuuut lethys, muh makes mooonies by trading/transport/insert random other stuff": that may be true but that's not what the majority of players will do. The majority will go the mining way - same as in eve. I told all my org mates that it's easy to daytrade in eve and that I can plex all 4 accs with ease that way. Did they try? Nope. They wouldn't bother. Cause Mining is "easier". When I took over a smaller trading hub (dodixie) I found that there were about 30 - 50 ppl trading there bigtime - the rest were just very small fish. Same will happen in DU. Some will trade/haul/do other stuff to generate their income and they will always tell others that they dont have to mine to get money cause for them everything is fine. While the rest of the playerbase has to mine (in their opinion) to get money. And tbh, that's why EVEs economy works. BECAUSE of ppl who mine (and all the bots ofc) - someone has to inject all that money into the markets. Such massive changes do make sense in an alpha and VERY early on when mechanics are implemented and when ppl have other stuff to do or when ppl CAN actually do something else (like specialize in research) - DU lacks nearly all of those mechanics to make up for it tho. And that's why ppl are complaining too
  3. Thing is though, it's always about possibilities. Nothing of that actually reality in DU. And that's the way it is and was for the last 6 years - endless possibilities IF X was implemented and IF Y was done. But none of that exists atm nor will for a very long time. Same with schematics and research gameplay. Endless possibilities. None of it in game
  4. Ppl who disagree on certain things and discuss changes aren't toxic. You insulting ppl because they, in your opinion, "bitch and cry" is. Sure, some ppl will like the changes. No big surprise there. But many many more don't like them and many ppl brought up very good points why those changes are bad.
  5. Nice attitude there. Certainly doesn't kill the game At all. Smh some ppl
  6. Can't think of ANY reason why players would leave. Oh wait
  7. Forget it, I asked the same questions in ATV more than a year ago and there was no answer to that up to this point
  8. Well That's not how anyone will do that kind of thing. They will ask for a collateral to be paid first
  9. TOS, COC and EULA are very misleading (not that we had that topic years ago already). On one side this clearly refers to RL scams and social engineering but then again the first line reads "When using the game". So you could argue scamming is against COC, but we never got any clarification on such topics in the past so the fight continues.....
  10. Atv is dead, they never actually used atv properly. And honestly it's also not that good to have a group which has access to patches before anyone else does in a mmo (abuse, prepare, stockpile,...). But I never got any feedback on those thoughts either while still in atv, so whatever I guess. They'll change it on the fly and for the worse, like most stuff
  11. even when travelling with c, it's just too huge and still needs years to millenia (from earths perspective) to go anywhere
  12. Or...just simply add a collateral
  13. About DU for sure, about it's players? Not so much Have a look at how market 15 was handled. Or some of the last posts in ATV forum. Or the vast majority of posts in the alpha forums where ppl pointed out problems, some NQ acknowledging it and promising it'll get looked at but nothing was done about it. Sometimes up until now, years after the post. Caring indeed
  14. Thing is tho, and this is no offence: It doesn't really matter if you're here now and start Posting. It's about NQs Attitude as a whole and actually listening to player Input and hearing and acting upon long standing issues. It doesn't matter if you inform the team or whoever and if you know what's going on when NQ as a whole doesn't care or do anything.
  15. Knowing a second lockdown may be issued today, not really. I kinda enjoy this pandemic tbh (beside all the deaths ofc). Noone gets on my nerves, ppl don't come near me and don't bother me, I have time to read and everything is slowed down. Good times. If only it was all the time that way
  16. I stopped months ago because - gameplay is super boring or so tedious (and I played eve for more than 10k hours) and useless that I get cancer when playing longer than 2min - UI is garbage - mechanics I'm interested in (pvp) are super boring But thats all really not that bad compared to the main point why I really got fed up with NQ: cause of NQ themselves. Pretend to listen but really don't. I told them about errors/bugs/possible exploits/possibly bad ideas years ago but they don't want feedback anyway, they do their thing no matter what and after it Turns out to be a shitshowthey Half heartedly "fix" the issue which introduces even more problems. Asked questions YEARS ago and they're still open and "coming soon". Sell us a game on KS and change it as they go, without even getting basic stuff in order first (UI).
  17. some ppl really should get a RL - and no, i will always call it PVP and will not stop calling it pvp just because someone disagrees don't really see the point - besides that ppl are stupid and can't read in an unbiased way maybe so they confuse stuff
  18. I rly doubt they look at any data from any expo (never was there but there were 2 expos already in alpha iirc)... and they still have problems with lots of constructs while the expo went somewhat well. Seems like they don't learn anything from previous expos
  19. Muss ja ein riesen Andrang gewesen sein bei so vielen likes und den massigen posts von Leuten wie es war... Schon doof wenn man sowas halbherzig macht nur damit mal was passiert
  20. says the one who is bitching for days and lets the salt flow in every post about some random dude
  21. and that's exactly the point tho - it wasn't clear up until they did give out those new rules. from that point on it's bannable. likewise here: they did the stoopid (which was inevitable). NQ should've rewritten the rules and from that point on bann anyone who did it again So again: Maybe we can get a good EULA now?
  22. relying on common sense (" It doesn’t take a rocket scientist (though we know there are a few of you out there) to understand that the markets are not a community construction") really is NOT the way to go here. I mean heck, it's the internet. And to be fair: if it really was not an exploit and only using...common mechanics... including RDMS fails on NQs part then this whole "use your common sense" thing falls apart. That's just how ppl are - if it's possible, they'll do it. There's a reason laws have hundreds of pages (here the law for regulating traffic has 540 pages). You have to write everything down which is or is not allowed. I say this for years now but obviously that's not enough. NQs head seems to be thicker than stone so things like this have to happen in order for them to understand How about writing a consistent, useful, easy to understand EULA/TOS? So imho: - without a well written EULA this ban is unjustified - with it, there wouldn't be ANY reason to talk about this because it would be crystal clear that it was a bannable offence
  23. Thing is, you have a variation of the goldberg polyhedron with pentagons. in between those pentagons you have straight connections where the annotation starts. 3 such pentagons form a triangle, within which the annotation is always the same. So without knowing where you are there and without checking myself (wasn't ingame for some weeks) I'd say you cross the "pentagon meridian" there and that's why tile 3894 isn't where you suspect it to be. just to get you in the right direction, search for conway notation
