  1. It could have beaten StarCitizen and Eve by the standards and reveries of the time, as it promised a lot of dreams along with that content, which had attracted players from those and other games. BUT: Right now DualUniverse has very different goals in terms of how the game is played and what you can or can't do to have fun in the game. Means to the question, back then it could have been better, right now it's far from it and what will be in the future remains to be seen, especially 2022 and the new roadmap will be very interesting. right now I don't see any game content or mechanics that stand out in any way to interest and retain a mass of players long term. Briefly: earlier - yes current - no future - very unlikely
  2. I like green and can read it better on black than white. In addition, here should eh times some color in the forum, is already bad enough to endure the gray winter weather.
  3. Surely it should be possible to allow stackable items in the game and mark them with a Deco function. - multiple stacked engines collide with each other and are automatically all treated as deco items and have no function anymore. - you can mark 1 element from a stack as functioning. (Example: you stack 10 engines inside each other and can use 1 of them normally with function, the remaining 9 are recognized as a stack and marked as deco, without function.
  4. I have also noticed problems with the mining units. - they stop without reason - sometimes there is no hotspot during calibration, so you don't get 100%. - after calibration the amount of ground ore does not match the amount of ore you find then. (Example: in the display 4.000 ore, to find on the ground are then only 3800) - The calibration game is too much random gambling. - The VR limitation is nonsensical, either they release all skill for the MiningUnits or none at all, because the limitation over VR is too much in the weight. Please don't forget to report these issues via bug report as well.
  5. You can pay for areas with tons of available quanta, but it just makes a minus on the player. The number of calibrations is very limited. A small number of territories each player can have, quanta doesn't matter. So you can't generate unlimited ores, because you don't have unlimited calibrations. How many MUs can you reasonably run at the moment? 30-40? Means you could set up 3-5 MUs with good fields and need only 5-13 fields. So what do you want to do with more fields, except burn your Quanta reserves for taxes?
  6. Hi, NQ wants to tie the area and ownership to an active subscription soon anyway (not with Demeter). Accordingly, the current HQs will not be safe forever, but only when the subscription is also active. I'm very curious to see how many players will take a subscription break and then still want to come back if they lose their subscription. My question now would be, does this only count for the HQ Tiles or does it also count for the Tile on Sanctuary. So if it's attached to a subscription as a backup, the taxes are no longer necessary. The same applies to land and its use, why should a player claim a lot of land if it no longer has any use? That players used to take land to secure ore deposits in large quantities is obvious. But now it just doesn't make sense. The few fields that are very lucrative with the ore values are now distributed anyway. So now it's just a matter of low or average fields in terms of production. But what's the point of blocking if you can only use a limited number of calibrations anyway? However, I don't understand in the whole discussion why it is bad if players occupy a lot of territories. The solar system is huge and offers about 1,000,000 territories. At the same time, they can always fill the solar system with more moons and planets. Even if that would not be enough, then you can bring new solar systems into the game as a further step. At the moment, however, we are still far from needing more space, we can certainly with the current player numbers without any problems let each player take 500 tiles.
  7. This is simply wrong. - You can connect territories to an active subscription. - You can bind territories to the talent system and insert a maximum number, just like there is a limit for cores. - You can limit the areas by the calibrations, because otherwise they become too expensive without generating ores as payment. One did not have to bring taxes into the game!
  8. What is stopping us players from leaving market 6 and looking for a better one. a market that is not largely blocked by Aphelia and her territories. There are enough markets to be able to expand. As for civilizations, we do have one. We players build a civilization and shape it. It's logical that we're not particularly good at it - why should we behave better socially in a game than in real life? Many of the players are solo players and use a group/organization/guild only to achieve something faster or to get access to certain things that would be difficult or impossible to get on your own. (Community of purpose) Some players also only create solo organizations because the system extremely limits the number of constructs for one player. Many would not need to start an org if the core slots for a player were increased. Same problem existed with territories and sub-organizations. In a society, you also have to remember, especially when it comes to economic construction, we are not best friends when building a society, but competitors. Your neighbor builds the same engines as you and puts them on the market every day for a quanta less. The skills system is not designed for proper specialization, it is far too superficial and simply structured for that. There is no real specialization on intermediate parts or smallest parts, but everyone builds his complete line from the ore to the final product. So why still trade? Many buyers in the market are not "customers" in that sense, but other traders who want to control the market price.
  9. I am happy in my Sanctuary Aliot world thank you. Still wondering about new solar systems and more content to explore. By themselves, the planets are dead and boring. I don't think any player would want to live on many of them if the high quality ore didn't entice them. It somehow lacks the living in the galaxy, a reason to fly out there and really explore or discover something.
  10. We can take the warp out of the game with PvP, no problem. Or: we leave the current solar system as a pure safezone, instead several new solar systems are managed as pure PvP systems, where the warp drive is prevented by galactic nebula fields. I'm very curious to see how many will then want to settle in the PvP systems
  11. I am not talking about all of us, but about me and how I see things. Moreover, I am talking about how we could build something better as a community. It's an idea, not a commitment. I also think they have no idea how I play this game. Could it be that they have come to regard the issue itself as somewhat beside the point?
  12. Exactly! If everyone only did what they wanted, it wouldn't work anymore. We need quanta for this given system and players who bring them into the system, whether they want it or not. Those who only think of themselves in the system are selfish and only ensure that other players have to do more of what they don't feel like doing.
  13. Sorry, but that is part of the game. PvPers also have to do other things before they can shoot at others with their ships. Builders who want to build houses or ships also have to do other things first. I don't know anyone who does these "missions" because it's great to fly through space for hours. BUT, every player who does missions makes sure that there is more quanta in the system and exactly this quanta we need for taxes and schematics. and yes, it is faster and easier, the more players fly these missions, so that not one player has to fly hundreds, but you can divide them.
  14. With this confession before NQ, they should then also live with the consequences.
  15. That's why NQ has to step in at this point, because we can't. If we need expensive schematics - then we have to earn Quanta through missions. Expensive prices at the market do NOT help, because quanta there are only shifted from player A to B and do not flow into the game. On the contrary, trading there takes quanta out of the game through taxes. If the player would ignore the market and create his own market, we could all build up much cheaper and faster. Schematics we need - currently - but no more, we have in our society all schemtaics that are available in the game, we should share this "knowledge" only more sensibly with each other and not exploit each other.
  16. So Dual Universe doesn't need mandatory game content, but proper game mechanics that are fun and players are really allowed to "play". Good: New content, something new to explore, whether new planets with new resources or really new species as NPC enemies to fight, new dungeons, raids, arenas, battlegrounds, new engines with new effect (rotors?) more solar systems, community projects like big stargates,.... Bad: More taxes, more repair, just to maintain existing, because it is not a new great content, but a capture in a boring continuous loop. Means it's not playing, it's a commitment and I don't need a game for that, real life already has something like that to offer - only better. Translate from:
  17. It would be fun to have these ships explode with the next patch, which would be great for New Year's Eve.
  18. If the economy can produce everything cheaply through cheap ores, it helps us all. So you can build and produce everything cheaper, accordingly a loss in the PvP zone will not hurt so extremely. So, as a society, we should take it easier and cheaper in this regard and help ourselves the most in general. High prices usually only help single individuals or isolated organizations to have a manipulative effect.
  19. As soon as they see a pirate in the radar, the pirate can already turn on them and fire at them, thus their warp drive is suspended. A high acceleration doesn't help them either, because they have to accelerate from 0 on and the pirate is already moving. Depending on how loaded they are, they have no chance to be faster. The problem in the game is that you can shoot as far as you can see, so 2SU. This distance should be extremely lowered to be able to fight each other. the battles would be more interesting if you could only shoot to a maximum of 50km.
  20. You can also use Facebook to rate NQ's posts there about DualUniverse accordingly with reactions like smileys. There, it would certainly be advisable for one or the other player to create an extra account as a game character and not to use that of the real person. Dual Universe | Auf Facebook
  21. Just make some question and put numbers (numbering) in front of the questions. Then players can put their "smiley" sign underneath accordingly with numbers.
  22. You can have polls created via Discord, especially since a bit more players notice it there than here.
  23. Let's see how many ALts remain when all have to pay subscription.
  24. It's interestingly written, right. Please note that this comparison is made with at least 3 accounts, which is operated by this player. So is it intentional to use multiaccounts to get such advantages in the game as a result? So through this he gets the 60% area and the others with 30% to reach these values with very high skills. So considering that he can get out more because he uses multiple accounts and even says he has them with about 50Million skill points. I find the values not particularly good, considering how long new players will need to skill everything through. So in the end he calls 5,000,000 per area at 1,000,000tax per area. I find that sufficient for now. At the same time, however, frightening, because this is only possible because he plays with several accounts and spends at least 90 minutes a day calibrating them and does not play at all. Many players have 90 minutes a day of pure gameplay, so it's not even possible for them to fully miner for 90 minutes or even run this calibration game in this mass. So when do we get to enjoy this game with game content? From all the text and calculations, thank you yes. But it also shows how dull and boring the Demeter game is and the direction it will go. Have you read the whole text?
