That..
I got mega nodes waiting to be cleaned out, but I just cant any more. Just the thought of the 'collecting ore' process removes any hint of creativity or will to join the game.
Ditto. I have so many megas claimed across at least 3-4 different planets but I just don't have the willpower to mine them out.. not to mention I had started getting hints of RSI from the ones I had been clearing.
NQ: Could we please get a second auto mine toggle for retrieving the scoop as well? Repetitive Stress Injuries are a real thing and the current mining system is a breeding ground for them.
If anyone cares what all megas I still have claimed, they're in the spoiler below.
SpoilerAlioth: 1.6M limestone, 2.5M bauxite
Madis: 3M hematite, 3M quartz, 2M bauxite, 1.5M natron
Feli: 3M hematite, 1.5M malachite
S-something planet: 3x 1.5M chromite, 2x20k of a t5.
Big fat Meh. Just cba to mine them out; gotten back into some of my other more Satisfying games.
oh, just remembered something else.
Hey NQ. Do you remember when you promised people an extra free month of sub time as compensation for all the problems? I just checked and mine still expires December 12th.
When do you plan to credit the extra month?

I hate when features like this are introduced and yet they have created no documentation... it has all these rules, it would have been GREAT if it would have had a wiki page with what you can't compact....
Gee. The game has an ingame codex with info; surely it could be updated each patch, right?
NQ: Hint, hint, hint.

Didn't JC once say on a stream that something was allowed and then the CMs said no, it wasn't, and JC was misinformed?
IIRC it was the multiboxing thing, though.
Just saying, do we know for sure that the safe zone is saying or is JC blowing hot air?

Just a guess, but probably Starbase.

a system automatically dealing with abandoned constructs, which can then be scavenged by players
The thing is though that player abandoned constructs (r-click -> abandon option) can already be scavenged by players.
So I'm not sure what that's referring to. Bad wording?

Except that they did not specifically call anyone out. You took their comment personally. I didn't react that way.

I've seen a few other people have that problem, and they had to solve it via asking discord GMs to do something with the offending tanks. Do they still help with matters like that?

the auction bots senseless!!!!
Yes, the bot buy orders are indeed WTF level.
A better title would be "Artificially high buy orders created by bots are causing the price of T1 ores to remain ludicrously high and preventing the market from naturally stabilizing".
Due to the nature of the pure ore refining, product refining, and honeycomb refining skills and the way they multiply together, with all relevant skills at max (which at this time since 'beta' launch is quite possible with a different character for each step), steel honeycomb bot buy orders remain profitable to manufacture for selling to, even with hematite and coal prices rising to ~35 quanta per liter. It's utterly insane.
NQ, when are you going to change bot order prices to sensibly scale to a rolling 7 day or 14 day average of player orders? My understanding was that they were to provide a last ditch way of making money or obtaining items, not to serve as the backbone of the entire damn T1 economy...

to please go through the official in-game channel instead
As the official ingame "Support" channel has been the unofficial general discussion channel, could we please get some more official ingame chat channels? I suggest: General, Building, Industry, Trade, and possibly a couple more I didn't think of just now.
The whole chat system really needs a rework, with customizable chat window sizes, positions, and more settings.

Not sure the ore crisis is as bad as you say though. The vast majority of Alioth is unmined........
Yeah, having had a month to think about it, the title is bad. Should be "Bot orders are keeping T1 ore prices artificially high" or something similar.
Checking edit access, it seems I can still change the title. Should I? And do you have a suggestion for the new one?

Player run economy they said
If the bot order prices scaled off a weekly average of player prices, it wouldn't be a problem. But the bot order prices have stayed the same since beta launch and been refreshed quite a few times. I don't know why NQ is allowing this to continue, or if they even care.
Steel honeycombs are directly responsible for the insane hematite prices.

All "Space core unit L" have been purchased at once from the market and are still being purchased
No chance of someone (not in a big org, but wealthy) suddenly deciding to do a mega space project? I agree that this looks very suspicious at first glance.

15 seconds
A large rocket connected to a full large tank will fire for 84s with default skills. M rocket with M tank, 65s, and S rocket with S tank, 30s. Rocket engines can be connected to dissimilar tank sizes, too.
With even level 3 rocket fuel/booster skills, this changes to 99s for a large rocket + large tank, and with maxed skills (booster fuel tank handling and rocket fuel efficiency), one gets 168s of large rocket burn time.
Not sure where you got 15 seconds.

Ah ok, so I assume as a noob my skills wont allow for profit on these items.
As a newbie, your best option for making money is to embrace the tedium of mining and just make a hauler, mine hematite from unclaimed alioth hexes and haul it to Market 17 or equivalent place with high priced buy orders.
Or quit and find a more interesting game. I quit almost a month ago and am not sure if I'll return. I'm keeping skill queues going for my remaining sub time but that's about it.

producing silumin from my refined resources
Check the values with maxed level 5 skills, which is what the market tycoons taking advantage of this are now working with. The difference between level 3 or 4 in all and level 5 in all is slightly insane, especially for honeycomb (steel honeycombs). There's ore refining skills, alloy skills, honeycomb skills, and they all multiply together for insanity.

Logged in to check. Hematite up to 33q per liter... yeah boi. Has NQ said anything about why they're letting NPC buy orders persist like this?

Also, why are ores more expensive than the finished products that they produce?
If the bot buy order 'exploit' described in the below thread is still viable, this is why:
Also, one reason I quit is because NQ didn't seem to care at all about fixing exploits. When it literally took them 2 months to do the simple fix below to stop the linked container exploits, among all the bugs and mismanagement they invoked 'fixing' it, ... ones confidence is lost rapidly.
Quote- Removed linked container access when entering a surrogate station/tutorial
You only fix it now? *slams forehead into desk*
Why was that not how it worked from beta launch?

Haven't really played since last month; is this still a thing? What are hematite and coal up to now?

Abandoned static cores in unclaimed tiles CAN be claimed/repaired, but they cannot be removed without placing a TU. Source: personal experience.
So at least one of those is wrong.
e. oh wait, just remembered I was able to claim/repair an abandoned static core in someone elses tile and remove stuff from it, so at least two of those are wrong.

Invalid parameter is a different error from pending operation. Next time, dig somewhere else, confirm the somewhere else got dug, then go back to digging straight down.

They said it was to 'save face'. They brutalized their own face with what they did, and it's about 80% of the reason why I quit. They had a chance to enshrine the broken market and make it part of the game's lore (no more wipes, remember? Using admin commands to restore it was a wipe, of sorts), and instead they acted like petty tyrants of a playground sandbox.
