Yap agree, thats why I said "certain level" of automation like, in mining, i would be nice to have a robot to help me, making some kind of pre processing, taking to my ship, dragging containers like a small train, so my inventory don't full up easily, help me to analysis soil and point me a direction of a deposit ... etc.. not mine for me, especially don't work while i'm off line, or to far from it. auto mine is same as free open bot game, and yes it sux. maybe, some guard drones that i can alert me when some one is coming, and i can look trough its camera and see if a friend ou foe ship is arriving, never fight for me or replacing a player.... also maybe a small analysis drone that can fly fast looking for resources and minerals, but under my control, i need to be looking trough his camera, but from inside my ship, this droid could cover a large area way fast than me walking, once i find the resource and mark on my map, id land and mince it from my own smart pets, that can handle information, save location, answer calls, and be cute and friendly. or ship repair droids, that need the operator to be online feeding resources... maybe self defense ship's AI, that can fly away if some one try to break in or attack it while you are inside a cave mining and your ship parked outside, or even that can be left in orbit or hidden in the ravine, and can be called to where you are via a portable device ... you see, i can continue forever but you got the idea, there is lots of droid/bot applications that humans suppose to use as helpers, without automate anti-game things like auto mining or farming or autonomous battle ships or factories, I aways be against "boting" on any game, but since this is a Sci-fi game, have some robots arround, that don't mess with gameplay balance, would be very imersive and i think could be lore friendly

I think no meter how the lore brought us to this moment, soon the humans suppose to notice that they can do more and better with machinery and AI help, and at that moment robots would be lore friendly again. Maybe i'm a Pariah... because I think this part of lore, is a light excuse to the "off line" intention of developers to force ppl to team up, in other hands there will be aways the solo player that hates everyone and prefer team up with machines.... so i think there suppose to be certain level of freedom on programing robots and automation of tasks, not to replace the players, but help and improve. (the social players will aways find a way to make friends and alliances any way)
  6. ESO is the best MMO RPG out there now days ! Its like play skyrim with friends! ( i think only miss the sand box component) the only critics that can be applied are: -that the quests could be more player cooperative instead solo, -and market SUX, all craft and market system must be revised... all other stuff are great !! , graphics, immersion, histories, quests, great customization on crafts, voices, pvp zones, big world for exploration, dungeons etc....

I use to play games for relax... forget about this RL and enter on a alternative life, I Like MMOs, and play a lot of them, most because its like table RPGs, where i can fight bosses and live adventures .... I'm up for exploration, competition and make friends from different countries, ages and realities ... . (also enemies for pvp, where i use to play as support, i'm not that much PVPlayer).... I like to team up for fight and solo for exploration... I Like sand box, because its a crafter's paradise where a can create anything, i use to play as crafter and merchant on other games... I like to program macros and automate chains of production lines... And love Sci-fi scenarios with utopic tech, fearsome aliens, robots and lots of ships.. as much as Medieval worlds with castles sieges, magic, and hot Elven females and cute bad ass thieves..... In the end, I'm an adventurer / engineer .... I can tolerate politics, and leadership, but if i can spend 10% of my time on it..... the other 90% i'd prefer been solo doing my businesses exploring or sealing creations, or team up for some out woods adventure and fight for glory!!! 'kindda'.. pirate's Life for me !!! \o/
  8. This Master Blueprints concept is interesting, so its like a skill, once you learn will be in your head.... Well on the rest, works like a RL company ..... it means that will depend of so much things, .... some times i think if this game will not be to realistic for a game, i mean, i want have fun, not an other job....
  9. Hey !! , I totally agree with you \o/ I love to program AI and see how far i can push to create automated very smart drones, i think is a valid game play style. So i could have a fully automated factory and mining plants etc.... and then could spend my time on RP and making friends on MMO environment..... I'd totally love that the sandbox game give us the ability to fully program great AIs...... But... DU community don't think so, so i think we will not see here great automation or programing freedom to make nice friendly drones or support robots. In other games, people have beasts, demons, unicorns or w/e the flipping flak those Lolli classes in Korean Trash MMOs have these days, those things that are a crossbreed between hentai-echi tentacle fiends and the Flying Spaghetti Monster itself. Mental breakdown aside, what I would like Robotics to be, is having the ability to control a certain type of Robot "pet". I Agree (strange no)... I hope we can create a small droid pet, with our own design visual characteristics, from a cute Cat bot (like on EVA Movie) to a Corean elven Loli, (Like Chiii, from chobits), that we can program simple commands and his behavior at least... PS: My evil dream were to program a colony army of boots, that travels trough the universe working as colony, grouping in swarms , attaking, looting and self replicating, I'd become a mad scientist villain, while my creation becomes a nice antagonist in the game world.
  10. I think, you can improve the part.. Looking from above pull the 3 mid vertices from the back, more back, i think will improve the silhouette and also the busters are to long.. But btw its a nice ship !
  11. Well, depending on what will be the price its affordable, costs, taxes and rents are part of the company administration. In real world we have taxes to pay for everything you produce, specially if you live in my country, hereon all tech price, about 60% are taxes for government. You want to have a faster production line? You said Rent OR time penalty, so if they chose rent, its manageable, if they chose time penalty, than well, depends how much % it will be charged. Only way is to see how it will work. Furthermore, you do know about the Blueprint system right? It's an amazing thing. You can build something... store it... and spawn it on a location (given you have the materials for it). You have to put the effort in ONCE, not ever single time. Did it got damaged? Just repair the thing, you don't have to worry about "Where I put that block at", the devs have taken care of repairing by having the same Blueprint lingering around a Core Unit needing you just to "fill the blanks" or where it's damaged. I know about blueprint system, but as i understood blueprints are items, you can sell and they can be robbed if your base is taken, also lost your base is same of lose all your stored mats and machinery. so if they do not create a safe backup system, every time the enemy faction take over the city you live and kill you, you have to start all over. is that it ? I never heard about any information about the Resurrection and item keeping, or inventory keeping system. I know you resurrect at molecular spawn at ark or at big faction bases that can afford one resurrection node. You can either have creativity OR exploration. As Lethys pointed out as well, Arkzones are present. Just don't expect to build a battleship on the surface of a planet. That thing will NEVER lift off a planet if you build it on its surface. Your ship will run out of fuel just by trying to clear atmosphere, so, if you want to build big ships, well, you'll have to go to space, where there's no safezones. But buildings? The Arkzone is your thing. Build something cool., save it, put it up as a display for people to see and then check your mails when people contact you about buying its Blueprint. For this you can use the blueprints, i imagine to create all parts of the big ship, save them to blueprints, than go to space, maybe inside the own customer's dock station, and start to spawn and assemble the ship for him, while hes buddies does the protection... thx
  12. With all this said, ... the only thing i hope is that there will be some way to protect your bases, besides "the trust in other players army (factions army) etc"... I'm a builder, not a fighter, nor have lot of time to be online because RL ... Life... I'm hoping to claim a land bellow the ark ship indestructible shield and real safe zone to build my ship factory and store. Also my home base ! And why i think players have to have a way to protect their constructs, (the stationary ones, home bases, storage, etc ... not ships) other wise, the cities and buildings will be very blocky and ugly, simply because no one will spend months of work and energy to build and polish details on their homes base, to make it become like a great Sci-fi building... if at any time it can be destroyed and looted, and when the player logs in will discover that all his work went to hell... I got it that attack and defense of player build cities and bases will be part of game pvp mechanics, but there is a lot of players that plays sand box because love to build, and don't like that much pvp, and i think if there has a way to protect your base, this ppl could be the owners of stations, markets and that "safe park zone" was mentioned before. All times i've played at a minecraft server, when the server has no protection, use to be a full pvp server, where players only play casually, log in, make his base as hidden as possible, don't care about visual, just make it as simple and functional because they know the moment 1 single player find his base, this player will not rest until destroy it. In other hand on minecraft servers with land protection (like golden shovel), we can see players making great bases, castles, sculptures... Working on develop complex automated machinery systems, etc.. Players works for months to make their homes great following his imagination, it makes the cities beautifully and unique (while PVP players still join, built a simple and functional home and go to the fight have fun) Now imagine how great will be the constructs inside DU with all this vox versatility ?! The cities will become great art galleries. Like if i want to make and giant Iron statue in the middle of my city, just like a monument, it will take lots of real time and effort. I want it to stay there to other players to see, and don't want to need shield (thats destructible any way) or automated turrets to shoot everybody ho gets close to it..... but i obvious don't want to spend so much time doing it, for some one with a single bomb from space destroy it...... Builders put lots of effort on a game, hours and hours of work lost sleep, and they get very disappointed when suddenly see all destructed, and some will lose the interest in the game and never come back after see everything he built down to ashes, and all his stored mats gone... . Thats why i think Dev team should think a little about that sandbox players that love to create and let its art for posterity, and give them the opportunity to do this inside DU,will make the game more alive and beautiful, Instead of make a full pvp kill or be killed game universe..... BTW... just my point of view, and I'm a maker, probably the players that love action and war will disagree and say: "Imagine all this beautiful city you mentioned above been attacked and burned to the ground, all that players crying on the chat.... WILL BE EPIC \o/ !!"

  20. I'm hoping best for this skill system and hope it would help the makers (as me) to be more important to the market. When they start talk about ESO, they spoke a lot about the craft system and its possibilities, I started to play as a crafter imagining i could create and sell lots of nice armors and weapons, create a "brand" when it comes to weapons... Aand become know as a great Known Khajiit blacksmith... (like I intent to do here as a ship maker!!) BUT ... FAIL .... the skill system has its time based part, to craft the items you need to train for a long time, about 3 months to master each item of a skill line, you need to drop rare styles etc .. .But in some point they fail on that system.. As they spoke so much good about the craft system all players want to become crafters... after a few time all players kindda makes everything, and no one buys nothing from crafters, that freezed the market and kindda killed the maker play style. Last days I was playing there, I use to craft free armors to newbies, and random players. Since we dont have to much information about the skill system here.. I hope DU can have a nice craft skill system that don't cap to fast. but also dont take forever to max a skill... ( also don't allow nothing like selling skills... ) Also bring individuality to ppl that works to very good at something, that not all others can reach fast...
