I like the idea, but they should also look to increase the weight of the large shields so that it has a bigger impact on top speeds

Eve had terrible critics review for the first few years, but enough people picked it up through word of mouth and it thrived. Hopefully the same will happen here. But yeh there’s going to be plenty of bad reviews, mainly from the kids that are frustrated that the game didn’t deliver the full list of aspirations.
What I don’t know is how positive reviews offset bad ones on steam.

The core mechanics are not in the game:
-Territory Warfare
-Atmosferic Combat
-Alot planet rework pending
-No energy system
-No economy loop
This is just push the game to another Wipe, once they finish all pending features, or close the project, wen steam bad coments doom it.
There’s more content in DU now than there was when Eve launched. Sure they don’t have everything, but it’s in the pipeline and there’s plenty to do for now.

I’d predict AvA in 3-4 years if the game is successful.

Removing 7 out of 12 planets and then launching the game seems completely insane to me.
I assume they will put them back in when the player base is big enough. It’s their way of making sure the world feels full at the start. It’s a good idea if you ask me.

Please can we now get some information on the roadmap for the first 6months/year. This will help us convince people to return and new players to start playing.

They need the money to keep the game we all love going, I don’t see what the big deal is.
I’d prefer it this way than there be no game at because they run out of money. -

If there’s no sub, then there’s no guarantee of further content, without further content the game dies.

One slightly concerning comment that was made: “we hope to only have to launch once” …….soooo there might be further wipes and launches?
I'm pro a wipe for a clean launch, but only if it’s confirmed to be persistent after that point.

Yeh it’s a good change, they havnt said what will happen to existing towers…. But then we all know there’s gonna be a wipe, so I guess that will sort it.

The one thing I like about this approach is it means NQ can set prices in the future, thereby making it possible to adapt as the economy changes. They have to have this flexibility as it’s impossible to get it right at the start, and future features will require further changes to prices.

Love the concept, will be interesting to see exactly how it’s been designed. Looks quite small at the moment, I hope the design is able to scale well

Beta testing also used to done by paid employee's.
I was paying to play a persistent world, not being paid to bug test a game.
I would love a lawyers opinion on the legality of wiping for those that have paid a monthly subscription.
The world moved on, people pay to play alphas now.

They spawn on Saturdays, but are there all week to be discovered, the fact that it’s a Saturday refresh isn’t a big deal (I’m sure will be better in the future).
I like the mechanic generally, it requires some effort to get to them, and the ones in the pvp zone have a good risk/reward trade off.
