  1. I am DaSchiz and I support this message
  2. It isn't about "me" but about everyone really. Alpha will not be smooth by definition but I'm sure we all want the release to be smooth and polished. It is an MMO and if the launch isn't smooth some people may get turned off forever ... which hurts the community. Just like you said being an Alpha tester may turn you off, a release with issues could do the same on a vast scale. More people playing makes it more fun for everyone and the best possible state at release allows more players. I don't get hyped for games ... I have never pre-ordered anything ... but this game could possibly be the game I play for a decade + and if I can help it along in that way I would love to be a part of that. I have never even been a part of a forum for a game two plus years away from release. I hate being let down so I don't allow myself to get hyped up. Honestly I expect everything done during Alpha to be wiped and I want that b/c I wouldn't be doing things to "play" but to find issues and exploits so it wouldn't be the way I want it to be if I was just playing. Also just to clarify I am not saying those who don't want to be in Alpha are wrong or whatever, I am just explaining my point of view as to why I want to be in Alpha.
  3. Interesting .... not sure how I would feel about that tbh. If there was this feature there would have to be some sort of way to counter it such as atmospheric re-newer or something.
  4. Yeah I'm the same about Yin Yang Federation. I'll be dedicated in running it and to those who join. However I plan on some solo play and really it is to support Yin Yang in a way. In case anything happens to Yin Yang I want to have a backup, or "bunker" so Yin Yang may get hurt but it will keep going. Let's just say there will be a balance More details are reserved for those most trusted in the organization and not to be disclosed on public forums haha
  5. I have like 50-60 hours in it ... started it way back when there was like 2-3 planets and you had a crashed ship not a pod. Fun game but never played multiplayer. I don't think there is PvP yet but I think you can play team oriented. I'd be all for that. I am off work today sooo ......
  6. There will always be people who want to simply take over other people's stuff. Plus I have a feeling that planets closer to the Ark starting planet will see much action. Stargates have a range or certain max distance they can work within. The issue with Eve is that being finite you have very few organizations that can live in null. Newer organizations don't really have much of a chance to grab a piece of it from established organizations. IMO this makes it pretty stale.
  7. Wait .... I am 12 ..... wat happened? B/c members now won't be Legates when launched is that why COPS disappeared? I am mostly sad b/c there won't be any more hate COPS threads ..... oh wait. Edit: So to clarify ... members now unless made a Legate will NOT be Legates when game launches or WILL be?
  8. Ok don't hate!! I know this is an MMO ... and yes I know what that acronym stands for BUT!!! people are different and unique and I am just curious on how people plan on playing DU. Please no "Don't play an MMO if you don't want to play with people" posts on here. From what I understand about what is planned for DU there will be the option to play this game either solo or with others .... and both. The more people working together the faster bigger projects can be completed is obvious but there are those who like the satisfaction of doing it all on their own. It is also obvious the more people the more security there is but then again there are those who like to thrive in the shadows as well. I am curious to how many people plan on playing in what way. Please remember people are different so please no hate or attack posts but discussion and debate is encouraged. Thanks
  9. Yeah alpha is planned for beginning of 2017
  10. If you guys have played X3 .. Reuinion or Terra Conflict or AP you'll know what I mean. I like the complex production lines. Now X3 was clanky with the way it had to be implemented by the game engine but the idea i loved. You have a certain factory/building whatever that is set to produce a certain item or items. You choose to connect them however the production line would need to be set by what you are trying to produce. I really loved that because there wasn't a limit to how big or how many "buildings" you could connect. So of course in DU there would need to be a simple manufacturing start such as a device on your wrists that would refine and produce a limited amount of simple items .... but you can use those items to produce more complex buildings or factories in which the factories' production lines are set by the element running it. You can then connect these production lines in someway but the idea is limitless and total control on how you want to design it. Different production lines in the same huge building or multiple buildings connect each producing a single or couple items need in the chain. In this vid it shows the docking station where ships docked to load/unload items and resources.. you'll see the connecting tubes which made this "clanky" as I stated so you really had to be conscious of how to place the buildings. Each of those are an individual complex that has a specialty in the chain. There was no limit and you could design it however you wanted. It was the most satisfying production chain mechanic that I ever experienced. In DU which being able to actually build the building instead of a model set design, this would even take this idea or mechanic to another level.
  11. People are playing right now ... I'm sure the planting of spies have already begun ... if I would have to guess .... not like I do any such things like that .... no, I'm nicer than that
  12. How about NMS!! ....... oh wait
  13. 1. Everyone go to www.insertmusicpagehere.com 2. Count down .... 3 ... 2 ... 1 3. Everyone press play ok problem solved Let's try it out ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Press play ..
  14. For over a decade my name has never been taken in a game ... no matter how long after release it is. Will the real DaSchiz please stand up ... please stand up ....
  15. Actually locking a toon away in a prison reminds me of some early access game I played where you could do that to someone. You had to hide a rock or something ... uhhh .... how should I put this ..... where the sun doesn't shine in order to break free from the rope if you were caught. Maybe Reign of Kings. Anyways, if the game mechanics allows this to happen, then oh yeah it will definitely be happening in Yin Yang territory.
  16. Metagaming is the game outside the game ... all the scheming political spying stuff. You can play the metagame without even logging in the game itself. "Metagaming is any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metagaming I've never heard of it used in any other way And yes, sadly I was yelling at my monitor while hearing that part hahaha But I do agree with the question ... WHY OH WHY THE BAD MOVIES I really like the music which helps but this was a cool one....
  17. Other people have thought of this ...... damn
