  1. Good job level design team xD
  2. Well, my goto solution with tier 1 scrap was just put my headphones pad on mouse left button and go do some chores / read a book for a little while. It took a bit of fiddling but i was able to get hang of it. With tier 2 scrap its already so much quicker I usually do not bother to use this trick unless i'm fixing something L size. Probably tier 3 scrap would solve that problem too. I don't like that design - I would much rather swap time for material cost - but it is what it is.
  3. I start to like this new universe idea more and more. Just with few cavoites - No puzzles, GM interventions (unless exploits are documented), no market bots, no wreckage, no tier 3+ ore in safe zone, no backchannel communication. Just give us sandbox to build in. Otherwise? What would be the point? Nothing would change.
  4. No problem. Just after we remove possibility that one or two "2 persons XS ships" can kill any M or L ship regardless of how many crew / guns victim has.
  5. I somehow doubt that. You are either user of Kickstarter who used Kickstarter service with some dubious and vague promises which as far as I know are in no way legally binding, or customer of DU who bought access to alpha/beta with some benefits. Neither as far as I know should classify you as an actual investor - for simply reason - you are not going to get any financial profits from NQ success. I'm also sure you have set up legal paperwork necessary to even try to pull your "invested" money out. Unless you have real world paperwork and legal advice to back your claim up? Leave fantasy world of what marketing and imagination sold you on and see things as they are, not what you want them to be. You are a customer who is dissatisfied with service provided. Noting more.
  6. That depends. I'm not going to scream about it for so long as I don't have real reason and facts to based my screaming on. Lets take territory warfare for one - if they give sane timeline after "officially" announcing it - than to me it doesn't matter if some people knew about it a bit faster or not. If they drop it in a patch one day and say "We changed safe zone to:" without prior warning - fuck it, not worth my time nor money. I will wait and see. Non the less my trust in NQ impartiality and common sense and in theory that DU is "player driven" is all time low and still going down.
  7. Backchannels are problem - but one that could have been said was not officially allowed by NQ. Admitting to giving handouts in public podcast made official by company and staring company top people, is quite few levels further into BS.
  8. Heh.... I will throw one single thing in here - not sure why no one really mention that. When single corp, which was trying to solve that puzzle, run into a wall - NQ added more clues. Its not like "when whole community couldn't deal with problem". It was one org. Run into wall unable to decipher stuff. NQ gave them handout which allowed them to finish it. It looked like NQ thought process was something along the lines - "Hey, they solving that puzzle! Hey, it goes very fast for them. Hey, they hit a wall, lets help them so we can see the puzzle solved". Next time something "cool" happen, they already set precedence for stuff like this: "Hey - they are preparing for super big battle. Hey, one side is being destroyed before they can even get to the battlefield.... Hey, lets give them freebies so we can see great battle". Edit: Oh, and i'm sure the ore they find will be super important. Which basically mean that org got super important handout from NQ. I could go on about how f.up this even was (bug with radar? duplicating what was in alpha?) but its all less important for me than NQ attitude towards "hey, something cool is happening" shown here.....
  9. Rotfl - you do know that every sane bank will block such transactions if you call them and describe the situation (bugs, unable to cancel sub, etc)? So either you can barely afford few dollars required to notice that sub is still going (in which case you probably shouldn't buy that game in the first place) or you are less careful in you selection of banking service than in your entertainment payment method... This type of issues should never be anything more than small and short lived irritation.
  10. So you take a look at the game, found something you don't like, voted yourself out with your wallet and decided its not for you. And yet here you are still nagging about stuff which is (imho) really, really minor when it comes to problems with this game. And act high and mighty when people don't take your points seriously. Ok, i think I will just keep eating my popcorn ; )
  11. I would add two bets. That they have one or two bottlenecks in their decision process. That they finalize decisions when feature they are working on is on the finish line. Sum it up with their tendency of underestimating players, use "work time" pragmatic solutions - like our current problems with docking cores is best example, throw in lack of communication about future changes to such pragmatic solutions and, well, as you said, I am worried what the future will bring.
  12. Whatever was in beta will be carried over into full release. No wipe. Anything you steal, exploit, get done is going to be still present after release. So please, explain to me how "it stays in beta"?
  13. Yeah, NQ really need to pick up their game when it comes to common sense and fixing/communicating before they poison the waters too far and player base as whole will become hostile. Sad truth is the only people who don't know what most of exploits are, at least in general terms, are casuals who don't talk much in or around the game, nor keep their ear to the ground when someone start talking about DU. This knowledge is neither really guarded (with some really harmful exploits as exceptions), nor is hard to come by, even by accident.
  14. So you throw all those acquisitions without even knowing what exploits are actually possible?! Niiice!
  15. No. Just no. There is no way I could spawn my blueprints correctly to adhere to terrain. I would have to pick up and replace whole industry, redo buildings. Next thing - do you have any idea how much stuff would have to be grinded? I think you have not seen much if you think it would be for smaller orgs easy to get back up to speed - not to mention you would have to make factories to make factories to even have everything you need to make said blueprints. Or are we talking bots in the market again?
  16. <facepalm> Making 1kt atmo-space transport ship is relatively easy. Actually it took me somewhere around 4 days to make such ship solo (including all components) without even trying to be efficient. Making good looking ship takes a bit longer With correct piloting talents I could go for 2kt too. Transport is easy. have you seen some of logistic ships out of big corporations?! They are ready for (easy) multiple kt of cargo. Think how much you grind in 10 hours. Multiply it by 20 people. Remember that bigger corps has 50+. Tell me again that it is only out of exploits xD. But really, if you know so much about exploiters, I really hope you gave all the proofs to NQ already. Didn't you?
  17. The only thing which can't be fixed right now is Sanctuary plot choice, everything, literally everything, else would be better to just switch to instead of restarting. Talents? Just start queueing other things. Industry? Well, you do probably have some machines, you can just remake factory. Ship? Well, i guess you have something which is not a basic speeder so already a plus. And so on :). If you hate your place, just jump to alioth, find nice plot of land and see where you go when TW get implemented. Worst case scenario you will have to relocate again - much less hassle then reestablishing yourself after wipe. Wipe won't also make you more "competitive". Well organized orgs has that covered. Wipe? They will just reestablish themselves quick - in probably one week if not less - its after all only question of parallel mining and industry. You won't beat organized 50 people who know what they are doing. This is why I can't really understand what wipe will do good, beside nullifying some exploiters wealth - who in end game (so org vs org) picture I highly doubt are that significant.
  18. Sorry for that. I stopped assuming it out of the box long time ago
  19. You think that all end game players and orgs are exploiters... FFS if i would bother (and know how back then) to be efficient from the start i would already have AAG, WARP cell factory, 10 territory scanners, whatever you think endgame is. Which by the way is not endgame at all. Endgame is politics, city building, etc. All that what you are talking about is midgame at best. Without using a single exploit. Just grind up to territory scanners, couple meganodes and use market to get snowball faster. And i'm not even that good at that game. 10 well organised people could leave me in dust. We have orgs from alpha which are extremely well organized and counting 50+ members. They know the game, they don't need to exploit to get crap tone of stuff done in fraction of the time some newbies banded together can do.
  20. True - not my style, but yeah, it probably is possible.
  21. Part of community... just a part of community. Hopefully. I know enough of people who can post such "suggestions" without even actively playing or owning the game.
  22. Jesus.... Its simple. You want to play solo? This is not Empyrion solo player game. You dig. And dig. And dig. It is by design and it should be. It is very hard grind and it should be. This is MMO and communities based game. You play solo, you actually signed up for that grind and hardship - you are going against the grind and design of the game. Its a challenge game was not designed to be winnable by players - i bet its just by accident its even possible to a degree we have. Try solo raid in WoW. And be glad its not that level of impossibility. Who the hell think playing MMO solo should be easy?! We are lucky its even kind of do-able. END GAME in this game are Orgs and politics. End of story. Everyone who know the game imho agree on that point. You can argue Early and Mid game too - this is where my fellow hermit (I'm a bit of poor hermit as i actually do trade and I am a part of small community to have people to talk to) may differ from some voices here. But hermit alone will never get everything done. At some point all hermits (me including) will either drop the game or join some well organized orgs out of pure boredom. I'm still amazed how much content there is for solo player to get their hands into. If you can stand the grind You play in big org? Surprise - some people like to or at least tolerate digging. And then you may find a niche where you don't have to dig.
  23. You have better specs than me and I'm playing just fine. Game is perfectly playable, just don't expect stable 60FPS.
  24. Thats probably because of placing priorities - basic voxelmancy. When you place box next to box of different shape, its vertexes (simplifying to much - corners) are trying to comfort those around it (either new one is trying to do it or everything around new one - depending on placing priorities). Triangular shape has vertex in middle of diagonal - which makes behavior of it hard to predict if you don't understand underlying logic. I'm not that good at it so i won't try to get into more details. You should be able to find more information about it online googling for voxelmancy. Unfortunately that topic tend to be a bit hard to wrap your head around it.. If i remember correctly (i can't check for next several hours at least) - hovers have kind of "easy mode" setting turned on by default - this easy mode is why hovers always work "well" up to some height. Vertical boosters are working based on angles all the time Take it with grain of salt - its only hearsay from my side, I haven't used hovers in long time.
