They have helped me several time as the super legate of Chem Dogs. I have had leadership leave and being unable to demote is a big issue. I hope your ticket gets checked out. They used to get tickets done pretty quickly, I haven't been that active recently though. I used to post every couple hours on the support section in the discord and they always said they can't escalate but it would get solved much more quickly if I kept badgering them.

Thank you.  I am hoping so too!.  We have a number of parent org's and the core (too many constructs) is a bit daft error and its new too.  By our calculation we would be able to place 1700 cores accross all the org/sub orgs.  This legate issue is also daft and is a quick fix too!

    Morning NQ,

I'm so confused as one GM said it can be done and another said it cannot be done.  I refer you to ticket 48481.

We have requested that an inactive parent super legate is demoted so we can try to resolve a multiple number of issues with our city and transferring everything to this sub org to enable building to once again happen.  In this ticket response to our super Legate (btw I am legate) on the demoting it is saying in around about way 'tough' you need to wait for the inactive person to return?  How? the person has left the game!.  You have helped in a similar situation on another sub org so not sure why this one is an issue?  Do you want us basically to twiddle or thumbs or reach out for help as requested.  (I have SS where your GM said they CAN DO IT in reply to a different ticket).

We therefore would love you to look at the ticket.  Also a bug not having is reply to is 'too many constructs owned' the person has level 5 and certainly in my construct lists there is nowhere near that level!!.

NQ we want help and a solution not just words.

    Thank you

  3. But most haulers do not have any weapons at all.  Although some in our Org do have haulers with weapons just 'in case' and it worked as they scared off a few people 'trying it'.  Then again we also escorted a few haulers the other day and had a skirmish.  I guess thats how I figured it should be no?  Want to mine, go mine.  Want to ring the ore back well be ready?

We do not know that's why it was pulled.. It could be that NQ found it might be better to have a more complete mission system implemented as first iteration.. either way.. the point is the same as far as the issue behind all this.. C o m m u n i c a t i o n

Its probably the bugs for example I lost 11 million :) fingers crossed tho!

  5. To be fair most bot orders are already fulfilled so any new player cannot take advantage of them.  Most want bot orders gone because basically the ore is vanishing out of the game by being sold to them.  In theory more stuff could be made and more price wars on resources thus cheaper potential products etc.  A newbie benefits like that.

I guess they could sell at 17-18 each and still make a profit.

  6. Good Morning,

The Empire is still recruiting players and are welcoming brand new players to Dual Universe as well as those vet's out there.

New player's can expect help and a possible loan of a hauler to help get them set up.  We have some fantastic shipbuilders who can assist you going forward with looking at your own designs or even purchasing one of their blueprints.

Vet players can expect an organized place with mining operations, Military operations as well as people working towards a goal of a player driven city.

Whilst like many other organizations we are certainly looking forward to future content.

The Empire has recently gone through some leadership changes as Starsz is now our Emperor!

So please do check us out!

I always find post like this interesting, those who condone and those who praise such actions.  As a member of the empire and also someone relatively new to the government/leadership in the Empire all I can really say is yep it was a hit but it has not destroyed anything except a trust and perhaps a friendship.  For him he is now someone known and it is less likely someone will trust him at all by far.  As for what assets got taken, it could have been a lot worse.  I was on as assets slowly got transferred but that as this is DU and you cannot do anything in the current mechanics with how you need to vote people out (which takes time).

Still I liked the guy especially trying to generate some PVP fun in a game sadly lacking this human interaction, civilization building, but equally I know how hard I mined to help improve things for the org so it was a hit to see time put in vanish.  Gutted I lost a few scanners and fuel I had stored in a hub.

Anyway this is all historic and past decisions by a previous leadership not the current one in existence as those players have long gone.   Things were turning in a far better direction and equally after this its gone 10 fold that way (except things are more restricted)  Still its not something I would do ever in an MMO as I respect people too much but I did hear it was the Eve way (glad I avoided that one).   I could personally have taken far more assets but hey that is not me and I'm pretty old school.

Good luck and hope it brings you whatever pleasure it does.  We are not dead, not fragmented, we will recover and of course any fund events we will take part in!

  8. All we want is content but any new content or features need to be fully tested.  Whilst we all want 0.24 we want it when it is fixed and feature full first.  PTS testing has been a great way to start that process and heck they found missions had various bugs so pulled it for 0.24 for now.

    Thanks

someone shat in his cornflakes this morning.

    TLDR at the bottom.

YOU may think that pvp is the GOLDEN ticket but there are far more things that they could do (and IMO, should do)  first before introducing PVP considering this engine is really not up to the task.

removal of ALL BOTS:  ore purchasers and schematics.

Replace schematics with org research. research the schematics and horde or sell them.

PROPER Tech tree with proper tiers that need to be studied AND USED to unlock. (Cyberpunk's xp system is great).

Automated defensive structures, domes, forcefields, fortifications ala every single shooting since the 80.

Energy generation and consumption and recycling, reclaiming.

WATER as a resource needed for industry

importing water to arid planets like Madis/moons.

OIL wells for energy and plastics production.

realistic resource distribution and extraction rates,
    Proper resources and farming

Farming wood and other biological materials from trees and animals, not coal.

    Or grow them in reactors/vats.

Tier Zero materials for land buildings like concrete, masonry etc.

Proper terrain forming tools with undo like in core building.
Requiring energy/time cool downs for local res nodes to function forcing players who repeatedly die back to earlier res nodes, further away.

NOW we have valuable resources that need to be gathered and pooled, we have real reason for conflict and PVP.

Once this is in place, remove the safe zones and allow air / air-ground PVP.

Before any of this is in place, PVP is just grandstanding/ganking/willie waving and roleplaying. It has zero strategic value as currently implemented.

TL;DR: PVP isn't the golden ticket, it is the icing on the cake, IMO

A lot of your post makes sense :).  I do love your ideas.  Sadly dont think it will hit the game.  PVP as you said is ganking.  There needs to be a reason to PVP and I do agree there are too many 'safe zones'

Ow really, when many people said invest in pvp otherwise people will get bored and leave "builders" were against it. Saying they are having fun building another city for no reason (there is no reason for cites atm)

Now when the theme park boredom dies and 90% of the population left builders cry.

NQ to invest time because you did not think that someone could leave the game and you will have no access is definitely higher priority than making RoF skills work or dead cores stop so they can be captured right?

We should even have an update about how trees and rocks look in a space game. That will definitely make people play it.

Tree's and rocks, thats 0.24 ugh.........

Cannot wait for improvements for PVP!

    Simple fix...

Any dynamic core left in a market or unclaimed tile for longer than 30days with no active subscription should go up for grabs.

Any static core on claimed land should go up for grabs after 90days of no active sub.

    Simple.

Or compacted into players Inventory would be fine really.  Other games do similar they put it into an Escrow (that have player Cities).

In short, and I already knew this.

Building a city under the current layout of DU is not possible, Both the rdms system as the clutter system where you cannot throw constructs of your land is not helping.

Also by using only org cores its not possible as the rdms on the org cores is more often corrupt or not working then going perfect.

In the end i was able to build a very small scale cityblock as example only to find that with 0.23 all my townspeople left. So now i have an empty city block with 2 huge buildings in close range, few shops and a market but all totally deserted.

This is exactly the issue sadly.  Hex owner needs somewhat more control but then again look at some of the markets for redundant constructs too lagging everything else up!

Whilst I know I'll have some replies that this is not a priority they can be for some including our Org.  We thought we were moving forward with NQ asking us to provide locations and owners of car in the territory we own as an org to be abruptly advised it is not possible.

We are trying to resolve, expand our player run city on Ailoth for our Org 'Empire' but sadly there are a number of cores owned by people long left the game blocking path's, blocking development in a few key locations so we reached out to NQ to help with assistance.  We of course have learnt our mistakes going 'forward' so will give rights for people to build but core owned by the Org so this stops this situation going forward, however we cannot fix the rest without NQ's help.

All that we are asking is NQ come back to the table and actually help people who play your game and are here to improve the offering to players.  Of course some of us even thought 'lets all send tickets in' but that would clog your system up would it not?

Hopefully this can be resolved and we can get back to building and settling fantastic new structures and also getting some new players into building too!

    Thank you
