  1. The answer is no. Each player account can only have one territory for each sanctuary moon (only one right now) But it's not against the rules to have more player accounts.
  2. Performance in this game highly depends on network data, as opposed to graphics details on other games. Being on a heavy populated zone will decrease performance. Having network issues will decrease performance. Being connected to a failing server instance will decrease performance.
  3. It's not much about "need". Its more about the effort to program that. If you think about it. On EVE, ships don't have crew. Ships are simply a 3d model in a xyz point in space, with XYZ velocity. Here a NPC ship would require a crew, able to navigate the ship. On EVE, NPC ships are not exploitable, because not being made from elements and voxels, the programmer only needs to set a balanced loot function and a box appears with it. Here, every NPC destroyed ship would be there for the taking with all its elements. Because of that, players could join up on big groups and farm those NPC ships easily. A lot of balance would be needed.
  4. Lol I guess Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Java, C are all misleading names. Turkey for example, also another misleading name. Apple does not sell fruits! This is a quite unimportant topic. Because if you bought the game 100% based on the name, without any review reading or devblog watching, or even a basic read on the oficial DU site, then you got bigger problems in your life than a computer game.
  5. You know as well as i do the situation became worse with beta. BP issues appeared with beta. Massive server load appeared with beta. Voxel issues appeared with beta. Dirt on thades being unminable appeared on beta. Those issues were not present before. To say that NQ knew about this bugs and released beta is false. They knew about other bugs, and they were mostly able to fix them. Performance issues are 100% acceptable in beta.
  6. "Single shard" refers to the network technology used in the game. Dual Universe is the comercial name of the game. The two things are not directly connected. Like asking what does the color "Chrome" has to do with the "HTTPS" protocol.
  7. The current answer is "NQ will deal with it." Currently NQ as confirm the use of 2 mechanisms: 1 - Manual reseed the planet in question, regenerating the ore nodes on the planet. 2 - Introduction of new planets and systems with more ore. Many players have asked NQ for automatic respawn of ores. But NQ has not shown any commitment to this solution.
  8. Its still premature to talk about hardware specs. There is still many duplication of alguritmon on DU. This adds CPU consumption and Ram consumption. I would say that the final product will probably run fine with the "recommend requirements"
  9. Well to frame it correctly. It was a possible problem even before any one started working on NQ. It is a theorical problem on any MMO. But it can only be accepted as a real problem, once the code is working with the intended performance. Only then NQ could truly analize the impact of the constructs in game. This specific game issue is 100% well suited for a beta phase.
  10. Well the definition can have several points of view. Beta is defined when no new features are added to the game until release. Only bug fixes occor. This excludes new features introduced to fix bugs. Something like automatic speeder return to inv is not a new feature, it is a response to bugs, acceptable on a beta. Something like PVP in planets is definitely a new feature not acceptable on a beta. But a feature can also have its own life cycle, so as long as something like "pvp on planets" passes through its own alpha and beta process, and only then merged into our beta, it is still acceptable for beta.
  11. They have already acknowledged. Just not in a youtube video saying how great you are for pointing it out. And they are working on it right now. Fixing a bug does not have a ETA. Mainly because bugs are unplanned.
  12. I wander if we can get passed the means that the announcement was made and comment what was announced. So they will probably extend beta for a month to fit the X*3 months model of payment. But in general, im glad they have done it.
  13. I dont think its really about the load. I think its about code that behaves bad under load.
  14. So you dont agree with a simple https status webpage?
  15. This should not be mandatory. Discord is intrusion program that reports several private status, like the game you are playing or if you are online, also requiring registration. Server uptime and load status could and should be displayed on a simple https url.
  16. You can use 2 different engine tags instead of the default "vertical" and then you replace the command on system.flush() that activates "vertical" with a if. If atmo <0.1 activate both tags, else, activate only the hover tag.
  17. So, you believe that this past 5 days is proof that NQ is not being honest? Just 5 Days? And they should take a step back ( I'm assuming closing beta? ) just because they faced a bug? Can you tell me an example where a software company gave up after just 5 days? Also can you tell me when did that decision lead to product success in the long run?
  18. I will ask you again: what chain of events can result from this post (and accountability at this moment) that will improve the success of the game? PS: I'm not loyal, I'm pragmatic.. My only objective is to play a good game.
  19. What is the gain of publicity make NQ accountable for their mistake at this precise momment? (a momment when devs are programing without sleeping properly, when private investors are asking for heads, when helpers are rushing to answer 100 questions at each time) How will that get us closer to our common wish to make DU a great game? Accountability does not happen in the middle of stressful situations. When it does, its called panic. Also the Op is a Alpha backer with knowledge of how good this game can be. There is no excuse for this.
  20. Then accept the consequences of that waste and deal with your anger.. I'm not telling you to like it. I don't like it my self. But what is the gain on doing this topic? Will current NQ programmers work better or faster or more motivated when they see this? Will new players rush and join beta, giving NQ more resources to fix the game? Do you think they don't know? If you can't control your self any more it's time to stop for a while and think about your priorities.
  21. This game is in beta, some bugs may take more then a week to fix. Having 3 months gives you time to evaluate DU properly, instead of reacting to a single issue at day 1. Also 20€ is inline with what other games ask for a single month. Its a good commitment value. But instead of only one month, you get 3.
