I'm not trying to come in here and sound intimidating or anything, rather if you would like to discuss about DU business maybe we could do a private message or even a brief discord text or voice chat. Well even if we don't find some mutual ground, welcome here to the forums. The game is a better place with good people.

    do you live by dualistic principles as well? I didnt have any peace until I felt or embraced that there is light and shadow, life and death, as opposed to what i was taught. life then death, light or shadow good or bad.

    Hammertime is coming along pretty nicely, you all play games outside of DU as well yeah? I know you have been playing planetside 2. I think on Briggs, during nz and aussie times. perhaps I should make a character? maybe we could look for our other syndicated members to fill in hours throughout the timezones. just as we plan to do for DU

    Hey, I really liked that sound you made! A lot of love and time went into making it, I can tell~ Also I think what you are getting at might be that the nuance of sounds can really bring a game to life. Like when you hear a helicopter coming in from far away, you may panic or be relieved who knows. Hearing a jet overhead just letting you know someones out there. I agree that we could use sounds like this to help the immersion and making it feel alive. I wonder if the server could incorporate it since it'll have the.. dilation from distance, or maybe that makes it more possible?

    There is an order for intergalactic cooperation between willing members, Cinderfall. Not only that, but several organisations intending to form Nations / Empires that may lean on each other for assistance already compose the base of the organisation. Were working together and slowly but surly coming to conclusions and developing a system for cooperation. What we really need though is thorough and public release on the Tags and RDMS. Or for NQ to bring us in for a session to work out these systems and how we would like to use them. Regardless of the systems allowed though we are working on and looking into being more than individual organisations vying for total dominance with only despots and nerd-dictatorships. We hope more people will look to joining and creating an orderly society in the game and not just being anarchists, pirates, warlords.

    So as a private military corp, do you think it will be beneficial for players to self organize combat arenas to match against each other? We may gamble in game currency over matches. Teams could improve their cohesion and so forth.

    Interesting thoughts and an interesting goal! I would really like to know more about the stargates and if theyll have costs associated for whomever owns them. Well, I'd like to know before I can give a well designed response on functionality.

    Some of the people in the group discord play planetside 2 and other games. There are even some people in your timezone.

    I hear Darius likes to talk long walks along the beach and stare off into the horizon. It's said he can hear the future, but nobody knows just what he's thinking. Perhaps he misses earth, perhaps its just his way of shouldering the burden of leadership, or is there something more? Does he dream of conquering the oceans themselves!?

    I'd like to think Ill be out there exploring and having fun, but in reality Ill probably be bogged down in diplomatic meeting after meeting, and coordinating efforts between groups. I think for many, it will be a literal crawling over a throng of players trying to make it away from the spawn location.

    Thank you JohnCER, it took us quite a long time to find the right words for both showing who we are and the small piece of lore. We have a much bigger work of lore in development, but well trying to come up with a timeline from 2027 to the modern age, based off the official Sohan Decker story, and including nearly 10+ individuals and their characters is a difficult order. Still have open arms for anybody that has a passion for making the game and community better, come talk with us.

    Just to say, for the first few months. Well have to be thinking on just a planetary and possibly inner solar system scale. Things might get interesting in the alioth and lunar base wars then springboarding to the next planet eventually fighting all over the system before someone is able to build a engine capable of traveling to another system at a reasonable speed. or a stargate.

    I've told everyone I know personally several times. Some are just pessimists and don't like to wait for a game. Dont want to get their hopes up. Others just dont care, they are burned out on kick starters, green lights and everything. And MANY MANY "GAMERS" just want to complain about something. They do not want to contribute any ideas, they just want to say something and sound important, but dont actually care about games.

    I hope this is an acceptable option. I really look forward to people making their own designs and perhaps only taking other ships as inspiration instead of replicating.

    You may find a wealth of discussion on this topic here That said, subscription because I want the game to be open to evolving over time instead of stuck forever on the same hardware in a stagnant game that relies on either expansion packs or a cash shop for additional income. Subscription because I desire this to be a quality game with class.

    heres what I said: There probably wont even be war except for the random burst of conflict brought on by micro aggression, like accidentally calling a transgender person by the wrong gender. That does not mean, that I am offended by by that. Please stop glancing at things I say, twisting them, then proclaiming I am either for, or against it. I'm just providing examples of human behavior. I'll tell you what I believe, science will evolve to a point where people can swap gender, change appearance, and look however they want. If racism continues on the path it historically has, as a weirdo that wants to be a fox-girl, I'll be the one trying not to get locked up or abused for being what you are. ~Heres some charged sarcasm~ That means I want you guys to think about the relation of PVP mechanics and PVE ones, and that this isnt necessarily my opinion, but just something to stir thoughts. Being captured isnt fun. Being killed isnt fun. Lets make sure we hardcode safe areas just for builders and gatherers. Now to have actual discussion, That sounds interesting Lady, do you have any thoughts on the mechanics for capturing prisoners of war? Do you think player equipment will be valuable enough that people wont just /suicide and might try to do something to gain freedom?
