Same issue for me with L core space station

I was gonna say, the idea of a Minecraft + Eve and being a single shard mmorpg is why I joined DU. Everything else is just details and waiting for features to be developed.

Im pretty new to the Game. So maybe Im missing an important part or someting.
I want to go into building a Ship, as i need an option to sell the stuff i mined.
And i have pretty much no clue what to do.
All i see is that i cant afford the Blueprints which i need to build the Parts.
So i figured i try to buy them.
But how can i know what i need?
I have no clue how many wings/brakes/engines (and what kind) /and what else i need.
Im 35 km away from the nearest Market. It takes a huge amount of time to visit the next one.
Im I supposed to do multiple trips before i have everything i need or is there a simpler solution i just dont see?
The distance to market can be tedious for new players, but things only get better as you progress. Even with the speeder you can cut the travel time by more than half by converting it to a flyer and adding engines.
I wouldn't bother with industry at all at first. And I'd probably buy someone else's beginner hauler ship first, before making your own, so you have something to haul ore to market to make more money. You may have to inquire in trade channel in Discord to find one, or shop around the various showrooms. Looking at and flying other ships will also give you an idea of what you'll need to build your own, you can also experiment by modifying the ship you buy.

Traveling into space wouldn't be a problem, and into atmosphere isn't a problem as long as you enter at an angle so you can just glide while the engines warm up. I don't think atmospheric freight engines are worth using though. Basic or military are more useful, you can reduce atmo fuel consumption by flying at high altitude or just going into orbit. Space freight engines might be useful though because space fuel is heavy and more expensive, the warmup time might make it more difficult to get into space though.

Use the maneuver tool on the smaller ship while you are standing on the ground or on a static construct. Then test it by using maneuver tool on the larger ship being docked to, making sure they move together.
-
I don't think it would be so bad if it was easier to transport vehicles underground. Like angled flatten tool, better control of constructs while piloting in tunnels. Then you can just dig mining shafts and use purpose-built mining cart constructs

This is old news, time to move on

Is there a known limit now? I have 3 approved images but it says 0/5 under review, no mention of my approved limit.

The last update I got about it was an email on Dec. 4th saying the rewards are almost complete and to make sure your address is correct. Not sure how to get to your address info from account page but this is the link in the email: https://www.dualuniverse.game/account/kickstarter

This video explains how to do it: https://youtu.be/Uh88kBY5Obo
Basically need to make a tag, and add the tag to the Pod element. Then make a policy with the connect to Pod right, and "All" as the actor for public, and the tag you created. Then also make sure the Pod is marked as activated in its right-click menu.

I see no reason for intermediary product to be on the market honestly, I'd either buy the finished element or set up the entire line needed to build it myself from raw ores.
Also most of the intermediary items (like frames) are used for more than 1 element, so why should an industrialist skip them, they are basically the first thing you should have available.
I had the same thought but put a bunch of parts on the market anyways and have sold quite a bit

how does the system check
Based on pervious interviews/AMAs, there will be no checks on the first version of the system for player jobs, just a UI for listing and managing jobs manually. And the final version will have more automated completion checks somehow.

I worked hard (12+ hours a day for 3+ months)
I've struggled to understand why 0.23 impacted so many but hardly phased me. Maybe that is one reason, people putting in too much work too early in the development of the game and a patch triggers a burn out? If that's the case then taking a break may be a good thing either way.

You don't need a $2.5k rig for DU, but you certainly don't want generations-old hardware. And if you think DU performance is bad now, you should've seen it before the more recent improvements.

DU will be populated by people with mentality of EVE players. I afraid of it, and if that happens... It's total disaster.
That's kind of ironic because Eve was an inspiration for DU and NQ has former CCP working with them. So you could expect an economy similar to Eve's.
It will be quite some time before there are more ways to make quanta directly from game features.

I have only been able to get docking to work by using the maneuver tool on the smaller ship, while standing on the ground, or floating in space far enough away from the ships, or standing on a space station. Occasionally it doesn't work for some reason and I have to try it again. I haven't tried anything with parenting rights.

That sounds okay to me, but I think they should still be lost after x restores. It's already a compromise having multiple lives, instead of being lost on the first destruction.

How do you feel about the sentiment that the "Alpha Team Vanguard" should be dissolved/deleted?
I question the need for it myself. In Alpha it may have made sense, but I think a public test server is all that is needed now. Maybe NQ wants it to be something like the CSM for Eve eventually, but in that case it should be reformed.

Good to see NQ sticking to the core vision instead of being pulled apart in different directions by divisive players.

There is an option to replace it in the right-click menu, not in build mode.

Boycott the bots ? It saddens me when precious ore is being removed by bots.
Anyways selling pures is hit or miss, it depends on player demand. And I'd train refining talents to at least lvl 4 before doing that, to keep your margins optimal.

I think the change makes sense for the overall vision, but is just one piece of many which are far down the roadmap, so it's a bit weird adding it in by itself, but DU has always been like that. And whatever happened to energy? I thought that was going to bring more balance to industry. I guess that will come later.
Why 30K?

I wouldn't say DU goes for realism at all for technical and gameplay reasons. The solar system and planet scale are shrunk way down, planets don't rotate or orbit the star, there is no physical star, and the lighting is not realistic.
