  2. It can be discussed outside of NDA now. They realesed the info about ages ago. + now too. Honeycombs as state in the devblog, are crafted from ressources. And can be used as building "blocks", aka the voxel material you can use to make ships etc. Well we can't say what honeycombs are avaible, but we can say the generics ^^. We don't want you to feel constantly limited by honeycomb material, but we also don't want to make acquiring large quantities of honeycombed materials trivial.   3. Probably this. When you mined say 100m³ the last time. Now you mine 100l for the same time invested. BUT the recipes probably still require just 100l ... So you have literally a factor of 1000 more storage space ... in that sense. Cause something that needed 1m³ now needs 1l or something more realistic. ^^ Not gonna make a screw out of 1000 liters of iron.

Potion type drugs are a stable for rpgs, but often ignored as valid means to enhance ones chracter and more delegate to being ... an way for lonewolfs to not need buffers/healers. Done right, this could be really fun and interesting.
  6. Hello there, after talking this trough with someone we came to the conclusion that in a game with an RPG lock and fire PvP alot of things could be enhanced by "potion/drugs". The basic idea would be to enable players to craft a multitude of drugs, like chempacks/ stimulants or healing meds. One could implement a estensive crafting sheme for them too. If a Adrelanine Pack needs: -Water -Carbon -Energy -Some plant/herbs or adrelanine boosting chems from a chemical fabricator One could craft in some other ressources to change it's properties. Makeing an Berseker Adrelanine Potion, which gives a faster firerate but lessens accuarcy. Makeing an Focus Adrelanine Potion, which slows down firerate and increases accuracy. Etc. So with a small selection of these. We could costumize our character momentarily. Noteing that after their effective time is used up, an negative buff should be applied. What types of items would we need: - Stimpacks = Faster Movement / Better Accuracy, extrem slow debuff afterwards - Strength Boosts = More damage in melee, less accuracy. - Med Packs = Healing overtime, afterwards a slow negative heal debuff which cost 50% of the healed HP - Adrelanine Packs = Basic one gives better accuracy and will drop in accuracy afterwards - Pain Blockers = Reduction of possible knockbacks or "dizzy" animation locks fro things like stun weapons. Increases received damage. And whatever we can think of needed as basic version :3. Probably we should have a drug for each stat that we will have ingame, even mining speed or mining damage. This would ultimately be a kind of moneysink for larger corps/ orgs that do PvP. As they will want to customize their stats to a certain degree in battle, a demand for these would make a steady flow of resources to crafters and from them too the battlefields. Balanceing this might be a bit hard, so i would suggest that for every active drug effect. There's a chance that one will "breakdown" on a time counter. If you have 1 drug active, an random roll for each 10 second of 1% chance. If you have 5 drugs active, an random roll for each 10 seonds of 50% chance. When in a "breakdown" state, the postive effects will vanish and the negative effects will go into effect for double the normal duration. So pumping yourself full of drugs will be a last man standing type of scenario for the user. Not a "lets buff ourselfs and pwn some poor miners!". Ideas and critics are welcome.
  7. @Ever_green Dont feed the troll :3. Or also known as Kuritho, the master OwO sage. And don't let yourself be told off from your idea. Some people just don't understand Space in itself ... as long as you have protection at the location you want to unload and load your cargo, everything will be fine. And booians, as far as i am concerned, aren't rocket scientists ... It's incredible hard to catch a target in space~ Just be prepared to defend yourself and your cargo when you're close to planets/ orbital stations. And even then ... you probably have 3~10 trys to learn it. As people will need to learn how to attack someone who's standing still, without shooting past them as a comet and burning up in atmosphere. AS in fact, you probably should be stationed close to that Atmosphere to Space Orbit for dropping off cargo into waiting hands of your costumers. Good luck and god speed. PS: Space is an deadly void ... but the best friend of a merchant.

  17. That's true :3. But it seems more plausible then the bubble mechanic. What happens when your bubble collides with anything of mater? Space isn't really that empty and there could be even suns/ planets/ moon/ etc on yoru direct flight path, the moment you get there. The bubble mechanic was my favorite one, till i realized how difficult it would be to actually fly extremly fast. And how difficult gravity influence would be towards keeping the bubble stable. That's all solved the moment you can travel at speeds your ship is capable of withoutextrem tech aids ... well minus the probability that the Beta Plane could be in fact be made completly out of antimater already ... which would end in an neat explosion of nothingness. I wish we had the means to test these theorys already :3. Dude :3 ... let us nerd out here.

  19. ... as someone who loves sci-fi i need to say. There's most likely just one way to effectively travel space in a ftl way. Let's talk physics, even if i hate them. 1. Imagine Space and Time and Mass Interaction. 2. Now you need to understand that it is probable for different "planes" to exist, where different Mass / Space and Time exist. 3. This plane is already interacting with our plane. Let's Call our Plane the Alpha one and the other one Beta. 4. To get from the Alpha plane to the beta plane, you need only to supply the needed energy to transfer through the difference. 5. Now your in the Beta plane, let's call this simple hyperspace. Here everything has a lower mass, time is accelerated and space is alot more "empty" and stretched. If you travel at an speed of 10km/h in the Alpha plane. You will go 10km in one hour. If you travel at an speed of 10km/h in the Beta plane. You will go 10km in one hour there too. But if you switch back to the Apha plane, after traveling 10km in the Beta one. You will drop out 1000km away from your starting point. Because each point in that accelerated and empty Beta plane is connected with the corresponding point in the Alpha Layer. And duo to the inherent speed of things in it, your ship will be flung along even if you stand as still as you can be. How would this handle going 1000km/h to 10km/h speed again? It doesn't. As the speed in both planes were 10km/h, you just traveled further in the Beta Plane then in the Alpha one. I forgot how the theroy is named. But i like this the most. As interactions from that Beta Plane, could explain Dark Energy to an point. And probably there's a Gamma ... and many more planes. Which are faster, emptyer and even better to travel in. But duo the changes in the laws of nature, there could be a plane full of antimater ... one where the speed change is so high, that you would be pulled apart in it, one where all light is gone and the nearest mass of 1kg is distributed around 1000 lightyears at best. The interaction of these planes, make out the following planes laws of nature. To an point, where the "Zero" plane ... would be a standstill image of how the universe looked right at the bigbang.

    We will see some starwars fights ingame still :3. Well one guy per "gun" is gonna be a thing, if you want it to be most efficient. But the main reason will be ... space battle is to hard for most people. It's easyer to sit still and shot at each other from bigships and have some fighters roam around them. True space battle would be to fast for a human to react too ... past a certain combined speed. The best comparision how our space battles will be like, is battle star galactica xD. Outside of the few people that will attack you enroute and battle you for real in "space".

If your use qualifies as a fair use, then it would not be considered an infringement. -- Just keep it away from a 1:1 carbon copy and be fine i guess.
  22. But it doesn't forbid you from makeing something similar in looks for purposes like parody or commentary etc. :3 You could make a weird looking MFalcon or Starship Enterprise. Just name it Dreamship 2 and have it look slightly different. Problem solved. No one can blame you for artistic inspirations. But a carbon copy of Copyrighted materials is just ... stupid. Respectother peoples ideas, but use them to fuel your mind.
