  1. Why not? i would guess all it would need is some form of a "merging block" A two part block each side has to have to be able to merge 2 sections together. it would by far be the most easy way to get around some problems that development of large constructs would give. just add a simple "merge" block
  2. There are several ways to go into that, there is lore, non-lore and fan fiction that is spread among the fora and the community page, then there is outpost Zebra and ofc. some older sites still semi active. Just dive in head first and start anywhere, But now you asked this, are you into roleplaying, or just a little?
  3. I still hope they will add nukes and I would like to see singularity bombs too Cant wait to trick-wire an empty cargo container to one on a seemingly abandoned cargo ship
  4. Oooh great. Well if we can use world voxels like this then technically you can already build that road out of rock or anything else. But then again you can also build a complete house out of world voxels with this.
  5. Hiiiiiiii, good to see more real people here!!
  6. Welcome!!!!! Bacon!!! Add bacon!! the forum just got a lot more tasty
  7. Welcome!!! Always good to have a few demons around, cya in DU
  8. Im not sure about this, technically there should be no difference between this and the adding ground, unless the entire planet is seen as a massive core. Hmmmm lets hack it
  9. I couldnt find anything on build voxels being able to place with no core, yes "ground" materials should be possible according to vids
  10. Imagine you want to build a road on your nice piece of owned land but you do not like to add all these small cores to it. Imagine that monument you want to place, but you dont want that core as an art element on it Imagine that grand bridge you want to build but its to large for a single core, and by the way, where would you place it without destroying the classic bridge you are planning to build So why not build it with only voxels and no core in your own private territory? For some structures with no elements the added value of adding a core is 0%, can't lua a voxel, rights are not needed as you own the territory, so why add the core to the voxel structure as it brings a much more emergent gameplay if you could build voxel structures without it. And indeed if you want to add elements to it, you just need a core anyway.
  11. NanoDot is correct. Like in the reall world most materials will be used for infrastructure in general and only a relative small part for Millitary. And then the military materials are devided between defence and attack, again leaving less materials for the attackers. Add to that that only succesfull attacks Might give you materials you were looking for and any failed run or run on the wrong settlement will gain you nothing. If you combine all of this it results in a massive system that will be needed to produce a few attack vessels. Either that or a desolated landscape with no infrastructure and only small pvp crafts as the whole economy died.
  12. ^^ Kuritho is right, best to get rid of the info, and welcome!!!!!
  13. Nah that was not what i was thinking, just exact the first thing you wrote: "Pretty sure the only thing stopping companies from tracking your every move and/or installing viruses into your stuff is their reputation and potential legal trouble" So if you want safe blueprints, this is what will stop the seller for adding back doors etc. You will need a system that will filter them out, by negative reputation, reporting, ear to ear messaging, no matter how. If Sellers know they can only sell one item before they are loosing their respect they will hopefully think twice, but its upto you or other sellers to think of this and how to make it.
  14. Love your character name!

  15. Welcome!!!!!!!! sending you a PM, we are specially looking for Ausie players
  16. What i love the most of this post is the fact you totally forget that the real world works that way and that every electronic part you buy Has That Exact backdoor, Every Apple or Windows or Android Item is fully hackable/useable by the companies previously named. So why would in-game be an issue if someone adds a gps tracker while you don't mind your phone, pc, television, car, watch, fill in the rest, also has it. If you can give the answer to this, That is what is needed to be installed into DU to make it thought to be safe enough for you to buy it. For me, i block everything i can from those companies but still i am experiencing a lot of trackers so i just build my own stuff in DU or make sure friends are building it or i add something to the construct [classified] to make sure its not tampered.
  17. Tranquility is already in development to do exactly this, free movable dynamic ship with loads of recreation and shops. Hmmm ill PM you, lets have a nice talk
