If they show about 50% pending at mining and lag whenever they fly over a ship or crash at every market, Then they will get my credit if they actually are mining for over 50% they get my respect as that is the main stuff almost everyone does.. Only if they show the reality of DU, if it is just a fairy tale i choose to not even bother to look beyond the first 30 seconds. Just like @le_souriceau writes, the only chance for DU is in it's creators hands. Do brilliant and it will flourish, another 0.23 and it will surely die.
  2. agree on this. Schematics were introduced to destroy a blooming industry to keep the economy alive. Result, indystry is semi destroyed, economy is still fucked up and DU is crippled and on the verge of death. Mission failed, but still schematics stay in. probably because if they are removed now the failure is complete and egos destroyed
  3. players and humans are in nature lazy. any form of economy that has a time factor in it to get to markets or selling points with travel times over 15 minutes will fail, humans are the I want it and i want it now species and Only stuff that a human cannot make or get easy themselves will follow the "i can wait for it" route. Ingame this is the same. I dont feel like presenting a solution as whatever we say in the fora is never taken into account. transport, instant
  4. reading this forum and all the announcements costs to much energy, sorry to say but if a corona vaccine can be developed, clinically tested, checked and approved by the FDA, mass produced and shipped all over the world within 1 year then taking from 2016 till now to reach the point where updates are filling most part of the roadmap is kinda, well, lets stop reading again
  5. What all these roadmaps have in common is that they never reach the end, most is never executed and half the stuff that is on them nobody who plays cares about. Its troubling to see that every year further away from the 2016 kickstarter results in less content resembling the kickstarter and more stuff to make clear we are not going to see a release coming years. Honestly, talking about upgrades and revamps and replacing the intro story while more then half of the stuff that is said to be in DU at kickstarter is not even close to implementation. btw, was 0.23 (the killer patch) last year or was that left out on purpose? I would have remained more hopefull for DU if i did not see this roadmap

  7. Only reason to buy stuff is that you cannot make it, so anything that can be made with nanocrafter is excluded, and then its still cheaper to buy a schematic and just build it yourself. Only stuff i buy at the market is at 10 to 20% of the general cost. rest is just a waste of quanta. economy by market is as dead as the builds around and on them. Where ever you go DU is a wasteland since 0.23

This, exactly This is what should have been installed for schematics. npc selling would have been a good second supplier then at elevated rates but the effort in research should have been in place and lucrative, Even if the first investment cost to research a schematic would be the same (time/costs) the production of extra versions of it should be lucrative enough to make a business.

  10. 1 schematics that can only be bought, is research or any other means of getting them is added it is an improvement 2 needless limitations, so in short: all 3 unrealistic impact damage on both sides, if i want to crash into someones build it should be damaged 4 Cores, cores is so empyrion and so limiting. Better to go with the Space engineer approach that is totally coreless building and with that kills the limitations on build size

  13. It is nice to see the answers but i am kinda disapointed to see the questions picked. There are about 22 people here asking questions, about 25% is the same question and any questions about performance or Pvp are not included, but its good to see we get an answer Part two soon!!!!   14. All what Graxxor says, frankly nothing to add, well maybe that infrastructural build zones would be very usefull, even without cores but since the system needs them, maybe a new corte type with only infrastructural elements for parks, bridges, roads, parking zones, whatever

Good clear explanation, i did some challanges myself to test the system but i did not like them much, its more a tutorial with larger reward. and i agree with you on the part i quoted and i hope players will take over. i do need to build alot of beach resorts and I hope that in time i can actually use this system for it.

  17. and thus the system works that all property from nested orgs that are going to be deleted will go to the superlegate, personally. Abuse will still be there, only thing this does is kill community organizational structures that are years old.
  18. Not doing missions but if i read correct, all missions come from NQ, then please delete the whole system. This is an mmo with no NPC, please dont bring in singleplayer stuff in an mmo. And if im wrong, already told you, not doing the missions just reading this post. If missions are needed then only missions from other players, and if that doesnt work, well tada there is the answer (btw missions from other players are called Jobs, hmmmmm). On the point of markets, all bots should be killed! Even ore is freakishly easy to get.
  19. Will Lag be finally addressed? At the moment the game even freezes when you fly over single large core ships with over 500 km per hr dont mention the lagg fest at markets. When will we see tha addition of larger cores and implementation of key aspects of the kickstarter program? With the new limitations organizations for projects are going to be crippled, what system will you put in place to bind organizations together like project groups or alliances? In the kickstarter ideals it was spoken that you could build your dreams, build a starbase as large as a moon, when will that be implemented, and i dont mean to stuff thousands of smaller cores at a place but a single core or cores that are interlinked and can communicate with each other (LUA/elevators/cargo/industry/). When will we be able to use research to create schematics that we can sell ourselves? well lets keep it at that for now
  20. When are you planning to work on the gigantic lag issues? The new visuals brought in even more lag. Can we expect DU to have No lag in the near future and what will be the path forward on this matter?
  21. Honestly, the way they go into a complete other direction then the kickstarter promis makes the whole thing rather a scammy way to get cash. Exodus of veterans might be incoming soon, oh wait lets rephrase that. Exodus of small leftover group of veterans incoming soon. And still the lag is killing, markets are hell, and even random cores somewhere out in the open cause so much lag the Game freezes. I do hope we for once dont get a new patch with all kinds of, come play because we are cool stuff but with actual performance boosts so people might even stay longer then 20 minutes after hard crash in the first location they spawn, or the first market they land on to get stuff. Game Idea is still good, kickstarter original was just awesome, so from awesome to good is not the best growth potential. with the next patches we will see if it stays good or goes down further

Well if we start getting patches that actually make performance better instead of worse "but it looks good" or "mission systems" and Solo missions instead of stuff to actually build community and improve the actual game Maybe. The road we are on now is a dead end for a lot of people and apparently they do not realize that most players lost will never come back.
  23. And still, That is exactly what happens, feature here, feature there, graphic enhancemen there, limitations there. but the core is still the same, fly over another ship and freeze. it has not been as bad as now for years.
  24. Agree, without solving previous lag issues a whole lot of new ways to generate lag are introduced. Till some time ago i could fly over alioth relative lag free, now in a 90km flight i crashland about 3 to 4 times due to lag issues messing up flight
