Maybe they checked only the wiki page on who to sent and not their own announcement ;)

@NQ-Admin according to your announcement contributers should get a STU, apparently there are who still miss them.

It is entirely possible that the announcement had a typo, but I expect either an STU or a clearly visible, public correction to the communication and a sincere apology.

I can't really imagine how that last step would be automated anyway.

I could easily see someone putting a factory at 500m off the ground with a pile of ships stacking up on the ground below.

Yup. That'd be hilarious! "Who forgot to turn off the fighter line?!" :)

Player1:  Hey, is that Sham's Pyramid?  Player2:  No, that's a pile of ships that has been stacking up since day one.

Just checking, but you only had the Alpha backer contributor pack correct?  If that is so, according to the alpha backer rewards, this is all that you should be getting (some of which isn't in the game yet, like the pets):

Not sure where you got that image.  NQ has removed all signs of the pledge page.  I did see an official NQ post that said:

The presence of XL sized static cores on the market disproves any claims that there could be any problems with them.

So a small number of exceptions now disproves all claims of something being a problem?  If anything it proves they have attempted to make it happen before saying they couldn't get it to work well enough to give to us.

Indeed. Elements with lost lives should also still be allowed to use when spawning a ship; they have the new deploy-UI; expand on that and let us choose if we want to use only fresh elements or a mix.

I agree.  If I had to guess the chocolate from the DRM protection got mixed into the peanut butter of the dynamic properties.

anti gravity generator scanners? You mean territory scanners, I think.

well our former org had 50 players. Only five of us actually still play and three just want to build a little sanctuary base and be done with it while their DACs last and come back in a year or so.

I condensed both terms into one as the ships have both AGG and three Territory Scanners.

I suspect the increase in grind has deterred many from continuing to play, some who pre-paid for longer periods even.  The ones who are on the fence currently will be dipping out after a couple of ship losses, more so if the ship is destroyed a few times while parked on a planet.

we got purple voxels didnt we?

Yes, but it's just shy of all out war for the resources just to craft the purple and/or glowing voxels and those are on the lowest tier of materials for ships going out into the depths of space.  If you want a T3 or higher element then you're either fighting someone or paying the forwarded cost of PvP in the market.

The asteroids are fine, but as been mentioned several times before, the odds of acquiring one if you're a lone player  or a small org is akin to hitting the lottery.

The concept of the asteroids is fine, but the practical outcome is far from fine.  The safe spawns are drained of value before they move out of middle column and you have to be lucky to be heading in the direction of the spawn before it shows up on the list to beat the big orgs to it.   From a distance it looks like a colony of ants ripping apart a picnic.

The only good reason for nerfing ore spawns so badly at launch compared to beta - minimal T2+ on Alioth, barely any surface T2+ off Sanctuary - is if they're already planning to add more new planets with better ore soon.

Even adding back in the planets we had in Beta will not be nearly enough to support a vibrant economy with the way the heat maps are dispersed.  The resources are now easy for a single player to lock down in minutes once found.  And if NQ puts the other planets in with a significant amount more ore it will further skew the problem into the red zone.  IMO, the only viable solution from our current situation is multiple solar systems with various sizes of safe zones (including none).

The only buzzing I hear is that noise crickets make. Thades is all but deserted.

Mone single planet might have been better given the current numbers.

there are no longer enough players remaining in this game after the attrition that was the final release to support a vibrant economy outside of Alioth.

Thades may not have much action but I'm seeing more AGG scanners around where my AGG scanner is running than I'd like.  The number of Alpha and Beta players compared to total population at 15 months will give a better feel for just how well the game is doing than current numbers.  Right now we're losing tons of people who saw near end Beta game footage and thought they'd walk into more than what was left after the wipe.  The real test is when all these 13+ month pre-paid players have to decide if they're willing to continue paying from that point forward.

Uhm, Only market 6 is buzzing, but then whenever i am there i only see about 2 peops max, so if 2 peops max is buzzing we have an issue.

I've been to M6 when all of the market terminals on the elevator sides of the building were in use and I had to actually walk to a set of terminals on the side of the building.  And that row wasn't empty on either side to boot.

And what we lost on the release

I lost nothing because I expected a wipe for launch before they told us no wipes during Beta and cemented once they did the first wipe during.

TBH, I don't mind the quiet. Better than saying things they that can't/won't do... and nebulous platitudes like "we appreciate your patience", "this is one of our top priorities", and "soon™"

If they had more manpower I would expect at least a little more communication.  For the size of team they have I'd say they've pulled off a miracle to get this far.  I don't want to throw any stumbling blocks in their path but that would require we see a roadmap to know what their path is.

  12. The Aphelia market intentionally obfuscates seller names if I recall prior dev conversation on the topic correctly.  Orgs and individuals are capable of placing dispenser shops where the owner of the dispenser is visible.  Some may choose to have internal org only dispenser with discounts or even listed at cost.

Tried again and it all worked smoothly, strange.

The patch notes for today listed multiple tutorial and challenge fixes, including you can now change the control scheme (keyboard, mouse, joystick).
