  1. First they would have to be proven legit, obviously, and not be "Dual Credit doublers! Totally legit, CHECK MY BIO!!" But if they ain't, you could always blow up the bank...
  2. So... is this a service you're going to be offering? Or one you're suggesting be offered? Aside from that, if the person wants to be flown to an organization, I'd imagine they might be new members of said org, in which case a member of the org would come out and pick them up themselves.
  3. None of em'. I'm afraid I'm apart of the portion of us that still live under someone else's roof (Hi mom). I would love to attend, but it wouldn't be possible. Good luck planning it though! I'll be there in spirit.
  4. May 9th. Because isn't Tuesday the start of a business week or something?
  5. As I said in the Discord, I would love this. No idea how to help you make it, but I'd definitely use it.
  6. Currently there's not much we can except point fingers. You could also PM the mods, as I did, but that might get tedious. Maybe one day we'll get a report button that is specifically only for if the org broke the naming rules. (No salty reports if one of their members made you explode.)
  7. Kind of, yeah. Where similar minded freelancers can come together and work together if they choose, or just take part in the selling out of their skills to others portion. Practically no rules, aside from a very simple one. I'm going to make a pub post soon, but I've still got to work on it.
  8. Wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what my org is called, and what our purpose as an org is? Yep, The Freelancers exist to both be free to do what we want, and be hired by other orgs to do what they want, while getting paid. It's going to be great.
  9. I didn't know you could even place and have gifs work in your signature. This is pretty cool.
  10. I assume you refer to the post I made, in which Nyzaltar posted some clarifications on the rules, after I pointed out someone called LittleJoe creating various Orgs with Copy-righted games? I agree with you, there does need to be some sort of warning of what it can or can't be named when creating. Also a warning that it could be removed if the warning is ignored. Speaking of which, he's at it again! Though only one rule-breaker this time.
  11. That isn't even what full automation would look like. After all, he's still gotta check and make sure the asteroid hasn't run out, cycle the ore to the orca, probably send an ore freighter in on another alt to pull the ore out of the Orca, and make sure he's not being attacked. Full automation would eliminate all of that too, making it even worse/pointless for new players. (Except the enemy part, that's always going to be a threat)
  12. I think the one thing you've all forgotten to mention here is this: There's going to be that one guy (gal, org, monkey), that, if you can create automated mining machines, says, "You know what? This planet doesn't need to be here anymore." He sets lose 50 automated mining machines. They go out, mine, then come back and throw all the mined mass into an incinerator (Or something. 'Trash this'). Repeat the process. Soon, the surface is a mess in this spot. Using the good mats gathered, the guy then makes 50 more drones. Eventually, Planets core. Basically, there's going to be that one person who messes it up for everyone. Limitless automation == bad for the game.
  13. Here's my question: So we make a stargate. Yay! Somebody goes through it, gets shot off... 25,000 light years away. How are they supposed to get back? It wouldn't make sense for a new gate to just appear on the other side. Is it really a one-way trip until somebody makes a new gate on that side?
  14. Ever seen the thing where hundreds of people are playing one game of Civ 6? They've got it set up where you can campaign to be mayor of a town, run for mayor, if you're mayor you vote to decide what government policies to adopt? I saw it scrolling through facebook once, as a shared link, but I can't seem to find the link anywhere. It was crazy how complicated it was.
  15. Scripting, probably. I want to see how complex I can make it.
  16. I'm just wondering if there's a way to moderate the organization portal, because I've just looked at it, and somebody by the name of LittleJoe just made about 10 new organizations all with names of real-world companies. There's even three variations of Apple. Is there a limit on how many organizations someone can make? What's to prevent someone from creating tons of fake organizations? I understand that at this point, people will be making placeholder organizations for later use, but this seems a bit excessive.
  17. I propose Battle Royale. Somebody/Some-people make a giant stadium, and every org send somebody in to fight. Everybody watching gets Space-Popcorn.
  18. Yes, you can upgrade your pack from the silver level to the gold level, for the price difference between the two. This is an ability that will be removed sometime in the future, although I'm not quite sure when...
  19. Something about the concept of Duality? That's the common theory. Also, No, I think there will only be the one universe, although there's no limit to how big it can be.
  20. You must have accidentally sniffed some of that chloroform yourself. He'd been gone for four days before you posted.
  21. There's also more organizations that exist than just the ones in the arkship pub, although those will probably be the ones you want to join. For a list of all registered DU Organizations, click this.
  22. That sounds like a Terrible Territory Triangle Trap.
  23. I want (for bigger ships) A huge Captains chair, with all the blinky lights and bells and whistles. It should still be functional, but it should look awesome. It'd be like a decorative/functional item.
  24. You could always make a throw-away email address, buy a pledge, then give someone the email info. But that would be tedious, plus what if the y want it on their own email? So I get what you're saying there. Also, during the kickstarter I remember they said if you simply added in to the price of whatever pledge level you were backing the amount of one DAC, they'd give you an extra DAC, or however many you added. This portal does seem to lack that though.
  25. I personally did not buy No Man's Sky, but I think that everybody who did, was let down the most by the multiplayer (or lack thereof). People got so hyped on the fact that they could possibly play with their friends, or meet random strangers, or just interact with others. First off, they were at fault, because Sean did say that you would most likely never see someone else because the world was so huge. And that's their problem. But then the big kicker was when those two people were in the same place, and couldn't see each other. And that's where it fell apart, because he literally said you'd be able to play with others, however small the chance to meet them might be. That's where everybody jumped on the "Sean Murray is a liar about everything" train, and it all went downhill from there. NMS had two problems. 1 was the people, over-hyping, and having unrealistic expectations. But that arose from problem 2, which was a lack of communication about what wouldn't be. JC and the crew aren't afraid to tell us what won't be. They knew people would complain about not having CvC at launch, They knew it would create a negative image, but they told us anyways. No one will complain if CvC isn't what they thought, because they're waiting until they know they can deliver a good experience.
