  1. Well, if they want salvaging in the game. Maybe any ships at market for more than 7 days can be salvaged. That would clean it up real quick and actually create some game play.
  2. Its true that moons are currently useless. Maybe they could be integrated into the mission system. So for example. Mission: Scientists would like you to setup a mining camp on Ion Moon 2 and mine 10KL of Malachite (a prepaid Territory unit is supplied). Once this is achieved our science team will take over the camp. Payment is 18 million quanta.
  3. This platform is right over market 6. I very nearly ran into it as it spawned in when I was about 100 mtrs from it. My understanding is that dynamic constructs are not allowed over markets, is that right? Anyway in the picture you can see I'm standing a little over 900mtrs from the market and the platform is clearly seen. Strange thing is that when I'm standing next to the market the platform becomes invisible. The platform does not become visible until I move around 300 mtrs away. Anyway its a menace, can we have it removed please?
  4. I can see a flaw. Not sure if I'm right or not. Wont multi account type players just buy some new accounts in the new world and with their knowledge, secure all the best hex with virtually no opposition.
  5. OMG NQ you are going to cop some flack over this. Do any of you Devs talk to each other??? If we claim a hex and put anything on it the tax applies after 3 days. Affectively we are paying tax in advance. Anybody who is currently mining on a hex they claimed after Demeter hit has already had to pay tax. Making announcements that demonstrate that you do not know how your game works is not a good look and helps to explain why the many of the player base are currently upset.
  6. I understand where you are coming from but I think you may have misunderstood why the devs are doing it this way. The Dev's actions seem to indicate that they dont really care whether we get stuff on the tile or not. Nor do they care that we may waste our money, or that its terrible game play. The only goal here is to notify non Playing people that they need to pay subscription and come back to the game if they want to keep all that stuff they worked for. It would seem thats about as far as NQ's thinking went. By claiming a tile you are just doing NQ's job for them at no charge.
  7. Not related to Demeter patch as I 1st noticed this a couple of weeks ago. So, when we travel normally in ships the weight in our suits (up to 20t) is free. That is its not counted by the ship as weight. However, the weight is counted in full when using warp. So for example my warp shuttle goes to Symeon with 4 cells. With 5t in my suit I need 5 cells, with around 15t its 6 cells. Is this a bug? Or is it a feature with an explanation?
  8. I have not heard anything from the Zombieland leader since I started playing again a couple of weeks ago. As far as I can tell he has not been around for a few months.
  9. I can see why an industrialist would want element destruction in the safe zone. As a pilot, I see the reason why element destruction is turned off. Coming into Alioth with a heavy load a few seconds of lag can = total ship destruction. Around 80% of my crashes are due to game performance. If they can fix it, fine.
  10. Alioth is already the most dangerous planet in the system. I'll wager more players have destroyed their ships on Alioth than anywhere else. The markets and all those towers and floating platforms are frightening, especially when they pop in 100mtrs in front of you. On a serious note, your idea sounds cool ..... but ....... I think the game would currently not be able to handle it properly. You would get hit without warning. Ships would dodge but still get hit due to lag etc
  11. When people say keep BP I think they just mean the ones you make yourself. So, for example you would able able to BP the ship you made. Or you would be able to BP that Org base that took your 6 months to build etc. Ones that you purchased from market or another player would not be kept. At least that's my assumption
  12. I am paying. I'm almost 1 month into a 3 month subscription (back after a 9 month break). I would be happy with a full wipe, no BP nothing. I think that the knowledge we have would already give us huge head start over any new player. Right now we are probably about to lose many social structures built by players who have left the game anyway and with some sort of wipe likely, why would anybody commit huge time and resources to a big new project.... unless they can accept they may lose it all. I do understand the perspective of players who think we are in beta and will feel their work is for nothing. I just want the game to be the best it can be. If that means full wipe then so be it.
  13. My thought is that, since we have already had 2 partial wipes. 0.23 industry wipe and tis Demeter mining/territory wipe. They must be discussing a total wipe. So, the likely scenario's are: 1) They decided that the potential for new customers far outweighs the potential loss of customers and a full wipe is recommended (possibly the best choice for the game but not for some players) 2) They decide that they can still get a lot of new customers with a partial wipe plus keep a good amount of old customers with a wipe that leaves some blueprints etc. 3) They decide they just cant get the game fixed and its never going to be fixed, so dont wipe at all and milk the current base for as long as possible.
  14. Yes, I think personal insults of any sort have no place. The go F yourself is no worse than the Whiners comment, jus that one contains a swear word. That said moderating a forum is hard.
  15. I heard that the mission system now excludes players from doing missions in VR. Well its been a good change from my perspective. I came back to the game about 2 weeks before Demeter. I looked every day and there was never a mission to suit my needs. Either the required an enormous amount cargo that my single L container could not carry or they paid 20k, Alioth to Alioth. Which is terrible pay for a mission in high gravity. Now that NQ made the changes I am getting fair missions with fair pay going between planets that I can do whilst slow boating to the outer planets. So, now if I need to go to Ion, I can look at the missions and find reasonable missions that go from my destination to Ion. Perfect. Previously I could find nothing. Thanks NQ
  16. This seems to be a good way of doing things. If we use adjacency we benefit from maxing out each hex. Probably not possible for newer players due to lower mining skills and higher capital investment.
  17. I am currently testing this but wont have confirmed results until I go back. My suspicion is it wont work because even though I now have it as HQ it still has a yellow flag on it telling me that it is about to become inactive. If it becomes inactive and still provides a bonus then yes its an exploit and will certainly be patched out.
  18. I do mention at the end, large mining operations with MU on each tile can be profitable. IMO new players will not be setting up MU on 6 hex surrounding there hex all with MU. I see many people grabbing a bunch of hex but just mining the centre one because they can not afford the MU's. I just wanted them to know that those surrounding hex wont be paying for themselves. If you are already mega wealthy you don't need to worry about any of this.
  19. It probably is a correction, however the mining system appears to be based on the old prices. See this:
  20. Its not 100% luck, if we are completely incompetent then sure we will miss more often. But if we basically do sensible things then there is a chance rate that is basically fixed. Your rate is better than who?
  21. Yep, no offense, it looks to me like you fell for the illusion of skill which is exactly what the designed it to do.
