You keep calling it an exploit.

    Pressing B isn't an exploit.

Mornington got a reaction from Neo_O in Moons of safe zone are out of rare ores...
It's a contradiction of worldview that your nano-suit can sustain you indefinitely, with no input resources required, but ores are finite. I know this is not a survival game, that is clearly stated. What is odd though is that the only argument for finite ores is that they want some sort of realism. If this is a social experiment, Neo_O, then what this game is showing is exactly what your namesake was told by Agent Smith. Orgs are behaving like locusts. Descending, stripping, leaving, providing no added value at the point of extraction. That is not civilisations building. Unfortunately this is also realistic, but I won't cite examples, real world politics is not a subject we can discuss on forums.
I think they need to go one of two ways, and I'm not sure which would be better.
They need to say this is a game, not an attempt at realism, and respawn ores by whatever means, so that the game is accessible to new players. Without that this game dies quickly as any new players that don't want to be org drones leave almost as soon as they start. The game would still get a steady supply of org drones and people happy to just sit in a gunner seat and gank noobs.
Alternatively, try to be more realistic. Even in the goldrush miners had to stake caims with a third party before they mined. Try opening up a deep mine next to my house in the real world, and you'll get so many lawsuits your feet won't hit the floor (but we have no legal system yet, and I doubt this game ever will have one). Build a house and then undermine it with vast caverns and you get subsidence in the real world, in DU we just get a static that is now floating. The main problem is not only that big orgs have the assets and players to strip mine, it's that the cost to benefit ratio is totally skewed. Even within the designed mechanics the only cost is fuel and time, plus maybe to slim risk that you get shot up. Yes, pvp is a risk, but no, currently it is not stopping savvy, small orgs from getting access to T3-5 ores. Add in known exploits, especially mass exploits and warp exploits, and the cost becomes even less than intended. That ratio should be addressed.

I think the puzzle does a good job at displaying how much the devs underestimate the players.   five weeks to solve a two year puzzle means that the devs under estimated the player capability by 21 times (104/5 = 20.8).

I hate to be this person, but it isn't so obvious there's a story or lore in this game...

Earth decides to build this massive humanity-saving Ark in a feat of unparalleled cooperation, but they all agreed in advance that as soon as people thaw out it'll be a free for all with no government or law? Well, first they decide to build like 20 copies of the same city...then it's time to start thawin' people out and letting 'em do whatever the heck they want.

The real dark theme of DU is that humans aren't capable of learning from their mistakes and will be locked in eternal pointless conflict forever.

I made a post about this very thing way back in Alpha, how NQ wasn't ready for the influx of people who will do whatever.  I told them they need to define rules, so they can ban accordingly.  No surprise we are here right now.  PvP is gonna happen, and people are gonna get salty as fuck even when its "intended gameplay".  I even pointed how people would come to these forums crying when losing a ship, even in PvP zones, and cry about where they THINK safe zones should be.  NQ just needs to define rules, then fuck on anyone who breaks them.  If they dont start doing that soon its not gonna be good.

Just wanted to see if there can be a way to add ships to constructs. Or Org ships that they have access to. This is required so we can create organization public use ships and for those using it in the event something goes wrong. They are able to obtain the coordinates of the ship.

Thanks keen to see something like this added to the Organization RDMS options

    The big issue is:

NQ stated to NOT exploit bugs to get an unfair advantage to the others who play within the rules.
    Or it will have consequences.

We all know it still happened here and there. NQ cannot overwatch everything. Okay.

But now a whole organization abused a bug in more than 300 (!) cases to steal other players ships.
They did not do it here and there, they massively focused exactly on the bug abuse. Exactly on the thing NQ prohibited.
They even allowed it in their org rules.
And most of the cases were well documented. Every day NQ got a buch of reports from the victims about this.

And yet there are no consequences.

    The problem is:
Why should players now follow the rules?
When they know it won't have any consequences to break the rules and use exploits wherever you can?
If even a case that is so extreme and so precisely documented had no consequences?

If you use ingame features to play like a pirate/ mercenary org - okay. Thats your playstyle. If the other orgs don't like it, its in their responsibility to do sth. about.
But a massive bug abuse like this is clearly NQs scope.

My biggest issue with this type of game play is that it is so easily rewarded and lacks no real means of retribution.

In RL if you did something like this there would be all kinds of retribution which is the deterrent in doing it in the first place and therefore fosters the trust that allows our society to work for the most part. In this game you can virtually be someone else and then loose that identity so you never suffer any consequences of your actions. This is a flaw in game design IMHO. You should be able to trace who did this and so you can mark them in game somehow. Maybe some kind of game registry where you can link players and alts and name changes. With Steam there are services like battlemetrics that allow you to trace players. It would be valuable to have something similar in this game.

My apologies if you live in a part of Tokyo where shooting people and stealing are strangely not illegal actions.

As this is a form of PvP it should be limited to PvP areas and never be allow on Sanctuary Moons.
