  1. Yeh, I would like everything is be easier please.

Please increase MU rate by 100 times, remove all taxes. Make building stuff instant i can’t be bothered to wait. Remove the pvp zone. I don’t like having to repair stuff so make ships invincible. Fling can be tricky so please implement 1 click autopilot as default. I don’t like other players they create lag, so please make it so I don’t have to see other people. I don’t like having to take time to fly to places so please make travelling instant. I don’t like any form of competitive play or challenge, purpose or effort in anything, so please remove anything like that.

    thanks

I want to know how all of these people are just spending 10 minutes on up to 28 territories... It takes me several minutes just to reach the territory in an empty ship.

And VR pods dont give you extra recharges or skill buffs, right?
I presume they are not including the travel time... Or they just happen to have a 28 hex contiguous region somewhere.

It takes me 10 mins for my 14 territories, including travel time. But with a bit more organisation I can see how people easily manage 28 in 10 minutes too.

My 10 minutes does include travel time. Here is the brake down:

My territories are next to each other, in two groups of 7. The mining bases are on the boarders of the territories, so 14 territories is 6 mining bases (2 of the bases are on the corner of three territories). I only mine t1 ore so this is v easy to setup.

Flying between the bases takes all of 15 seconds max in a fast shutttle with 6g acceleration and 15g breaking.

For calibrating the MUs I skip the mini game. So calibrating a MU takes around 10 seconds, the MU are next to eachother so no moving required really.

I make around 1.6million ore per week.

If you feel this way about pvp while DU is still in it’s easy mode phase, how you going to be when it’s not?

At the moment the asteroid discover list can be negated by just triggering it and coming back later. The speed changes have not come yet and the outa planets still have safe zone bubbles.

Patch by patch this easy mode comfort blanket will start to fade away. I hope the stockpiles accumulated while the blanket is on does not keep such a negative impact on the economy for too long either.

    This.

The irony in this statement is hilarious.  The game is 100% completely catering to the NON PVP play style.  There is Literally nothing In the pvp zone that isn't in the safe zone. Every planet is a safe zone. The SINGLE thing that resides in the pvp zone.....is also in the safe zone, so you can completely by pass the pvp zone and get the T5.

    This.

One side of this debate are ok with there being two areas to cater for both play styles.

The other side of this debate will only be happy with absolutely no compromise to their own playstyle.

  5. Just mine in the safe zone? I don’t get it?

Oh but you want the high tier ore? Then you have to take the risk and defend yourself. Or go with a ship you don’t mind loosing. That’s the trade off.

It’s like the carebears in this game have only ever played minecraft type games. Computer games often involve competitive play, with risks and trade offs, this game includes pvp as a selling point, so accept it, or just never leave the safe zone.

Yeah I understand that but do you consider that fun? because I consider that work a lot of work and some of this has to be my fault. I'm slow I guess calibrating 4 mu on one tile takes me 10 mins but for me the most annoying thing of all is they could have made these work like everything else like a refiner... Maybe I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time and I'm fairly good at being wrong but this seems like an extreme amount of time to spend on something I don't want to do i don't find it enjoyable its a means to an end I need ore so I can do what I want to in the game. the game being mostly spent on ore management sounds really bad to me I'm more frugal then others too because I go through this game like pay check to pay check I don't have large amounts of anything. the classic way of mining I wasn't that fond of it either but it was like 1000 times more efficient what what's goin on now maybe even higher than 1,000 times it's basically one mouse click of ore per hour per mu I call that a huge problem I know they are going to change it they need time and data but my point is it's not fun to me and I think too many hoops to jump through and too many time sinks and a trickle of resources these to me are the ingredients that make this boring for a lot of people and many people will quit and play something else. I'm just trying to warn them of this looming threat It often feels like that movie don't look up lol I'm not trying take anything away from you it sounds like you run circles around me with your time management skills that's just not what I want to do with my game time and it frustrates me greatly.

I personally consider the 10 minutes I spend per day calibrating, to be far more fun than endlessly clicking right click for hours on a mega node. Vastly vastly more fun.

  7. This. I spend no more than 10 minutes a day calibrating MU on my 14 territories. And I havnt been efficient enough to bother with a schedule.

Then every two weeks I fly with my big hauler to alioth to sell.

People obviously arnt calibrating properly. Do people even realise you DONT need to harvest the surface rocks, and DONT need to play the calibration mini game???? Just skip it!!

  8. I preferred the original core numbers, the success of the game is driven by the ability to invest in new context, so that should be prioritised.

Also, 25 large cores is a huge amount of space, bigger than any building game I’ve played before (other games tend to have different types of limitations in place) and would have been fine, if people hadn't been spoilt with near infinite cores.

I suspect if there is a wipe they will drop it further then.

    Less than 5 minutes????

Yeah, clicking on a MU and clicking calibrate, then exiting calibration after it initialising but before you play the mini game, takes less than 15 seconds in total. That (with good skills) bumps my calibration score up by 60% without even playing the mini game. I do that calibration with 6 MU per day. The MU are all close together, and the territories are all surrounding my base.

So probably less than 5 minutes in total… 15 seconds per MU, x 6, that’s 1.5 minutes, not including walking 2 meters between each MU…

  10. Just skip the calibration bit (click through it) and don’t pickup the ore. It takes me less than 5 minutes a day (in total) to manage my 7 territories worth of MUs.

Territory costs are 7 million per week, I’m selling the ore for 19 million.

I don’t get why people complain about this game mechanic which chucks loads of ore at you to build with.

Did any of you try out DU PvP with friends on a not staged fight? One can repeat what one hears from others like a parrot or try it out. DU PvP can be real fun if you are introduced to it by knowing people. Here is an example of something else than an L core in DU PvP XD

I’ve really enjoyed pvp in DU in the past. Fundamentally what makes pvp fun for me is when there is risk involved, do people care about their ships, are they worth a lot? Everything else is secondary.

I do find it concerning that the devs havnt managed to make even the simplest of changes like putting speed limits based on core sizes.
