It's been a pretty awesome year. Game development wise it has been a pleasure to watch the game grow to where it is today, and community wise, well... friendships have been forged and enemies have been made - just hope folks can realize this is still just a game. I'd still enjoy a good beer (for those of age) at any meet up with anyone here.
Thanks everyone who has participated in this community small or large, and thanks to NQ for doing far more for us than we really deserve. I hope DU becomes a huge success, and can't wait to get my hands on the pre alpha later this month.

Not saying this is the issue CCP has, but when you have millions of players, it's a pretty big issue.
As much flak as CCP gets (and I get why, I dont agree with every decision they made) they do their best.
You can't please everyone unfortunately, and game development is no different.

I'd prefer fixed gates.
That said, I would be ok with dialing but only if it took time (Like a few hours) to dial up a new gate. That way it forces you to commit for a length of time.

So glad we hit that 10k backer milestone. It's amazing to see where we are now with this game and community from two years ago. Seriously, thank you to everyone who has backed so far.

Territory Control Unit. It's what we will use to claim tiles in Dual Universe as your own territory/land.

Thanks for the summary.
Are you saying players will each have 3 - 4 TCUs, or that there will only be a total of 3 - 4 TCUs for everyone in the pre-alpha? Just want to clarify.

Was playing Eve Online back in 2015 and was hitting a bump in my enjoyment, so I started looking for alternatives and came upon DU.

Haven't received any official word on the time frame for their testing schedule, but one can expect a few months for each release. Alpha being the longest.

Which is a relief tbh, I was worried it wouldn't be moderated, but glad to see it will be.
