  1. Either way he weakens his whole argument by resulting to insults. Doesn't matter he is incorrect in his assessment. It is not shady practices or anything like that. Shady practice would be if they charged you an additional month at full price for canceling your subscription. Or not giving you the option to not remove your card information. Or not telling you about a subscription before you signed up.
  2. Calling names just shows how poor your argument is. Picture perfect Ad hominem comment.
  3. Let's be real those people who have a problem with 7$ a month would have a problem with anything that isn't free. They move from new game and play through it's trial period and move on to the next one. Nothing more than a plague of locusts on the gaming community. But that is just my 25 years of online gaming experience has shown me. I maybe jaded.
  4. You don't know how many times I see a post or complaint or some kind of tech help call about billing and how xxxxx was shut off because they didn't pay. And they didn't understand why it didn't auto draft the payment. So when some company does it as a convenience it is a bad thing.
  5. No I believe you misread my post. It is a sarcastic response to the constant questioning of moderator actions when those actions are well within the enforcement of the rules.
  6. So let me get this straight. You are upset that a post that violated the rules was removed... And believe that it should have been selectively censored. So it would read like a CIA released document of more black redacted lines than words.
  7. Oh God a company setup something for your convenience and you complain about it. You knew it was a sub based game. I am starting to hate today's generation of gamers more and more everyday.
  8. I can tell this is going to be a never ending cycle of wipe posts and conspiracies. Just like to this day Eve Online is still plagued by wipe requests. Having a history in game, good or bad is what makes the universe feel lived in. Just because you didn't get the head start or get the start you wanted doesn't mean that there needs to be a wipe. Stop being selfish and narrow minded. The world doesn't revolve around you and your demands. Show up late to a movie, they don't stop the movie and start over for you. So neither should DU.
  9. Have you ever thought about leaving? Going somewhere not jammed packed with morons?
  10. This right here. Instead of being a victim, they said how can I learn from this to be better! And they are better for it.
  11. First I would like to say, that I know NQ is not happy with the state of PVP. And second they will adjust things to move away from the cube meta. Now with those things said. Yes and no. Yes you can always design a cool looking ship but if it is a bad design where the rule of cool over ride the rule of function. Then well it will just be fodder for better ships. No, it really doesn't matter what it looks like if it works. Which is where we are now. This is true with many real life combat vehicles. Early designs were more function than form. Look at the first ironclads. But there is still more to come on balance and meta changes. I imagine there will be several different meta styles in the near future.
  12. Have you tried turning down some of the visual settings? It has done wonders for me and I am on a far less powerful rig.
  13. There is no real easy way to tell if a ship has a container on it. Sure he could take time to try and find it on the periscope of the gunners chair... But if you have ever used that thing you will know that is an exercise in futility. As for camping the core.... If it wasnt worth anything then why go back for it? Odds are they were trying to assess if it was worth looting or salvaging. This again comes down to value... What is worth nothing to you, maybe worth something to someone else.
  14. How is it terror? Stop. Just stop. It is not terror, it is not griefing, it is not harassment. It is PK, PVP, RED players. Nothing more nothing less. If you are terrorized by this then perhaps you should not be playing online games with a pvp element to it.
  15. To answer this pretty simply. The person who killed you gained an economical advantage. This is called piracy, not griefing. And unless you are aware of the larger picture, you don't know the tactical advantage.
  16. Do you want to know what we called players like that back in the heyday of Ultima Online? PKr's. It stood for player killers. It wasn't a negative term they weren't exploiting to achieve anything they weren't preventing you from playing inside of the safe zones. They did kill anyone they didn't know outside of those safe zones. It was just PVP at it's base and purest. Griefing is utilizing a bug or exploit to prevent someone from playing or enjoying the game.
  17. It is the Geneva Convention. And that has nothing to do with today's online gaming society.
  18. Depends on the circles you socialize in. Some may praise you, others may condemn you. After all a hero is just another person's villain.
  19. Vast majority of the people who have been crying about being griefer are more upset that they lost everything due to poor planning on their part. But because society has raised people to never blame themselves for failure they instead project that failure on someone else. This calling these PVP players griefers. When in fact they are quite far from being griefers. These players did not prevent you from playing or even enjoying the game. They just killed you when you entered into their domain. The lesson to be learned here is, if you don't want pvp don't leave the safe zone.
  20. What moral values? This is a game. What you may not consider morally right I may consider fair play. In short don't assume I subscribe to the same morals as you.
