This 100%. The current L/H is beyond a joke and a kick in the face. How are we supposed to do anything in this game now. I have 0 drive to continue playing with the direction this is going. I love the mining units, but the rates need to be raised tremendously.

Where's the fun? More of a slog than the old mining simulator.

    At bare minimum:
    T1 needs to be 1000l/h
    T2 needs to be 500l/h
    T3 needs to be 250l/h
    T4 needs to be 125l/h
    T5 needs to be 75l/h

With talents to increase that 100% with T5 talents.

And then thats bare minimum status quo of what you could get now that VR is dead.

This type of system for infinte ore only works if you add sinks to take ore and elements out of the game via destructive elements, or using the new efficiency system for constantly runing things to do actual damage since efficiency=HP since the more damage the less efficnecy. Without those types of sinks in the game the economy stagnates or grinds to a halt.

With those sinks you can raise MU output to however high and pace it with the items and ore leaving the game. The taxes only serve to address the mission system and since they killed missions with 0.27 there will be lots of money leaving the game with not as much coming in.

And in general the old mining system was like a lottery anyways since whatever was on the player scanner could be anything from 2kl-1mil+kl. With MUs this static garbage vs simulating what the old mining system was with nodes the MUs either collectively or solo node mining with random sizes and l/h would have made more sense without having to babysit MUs and micromanage efficiency like a chineese sweat shop. When MUs were supposed to be an extension of mining when pitched and not replace the system outright.

Ok, usually i am not negative but the balance of Demeter on the PTS server has some severe problems.

    1. Territory costs of 1m per week:
this will lead to almost nobody claiming any tiles any more outside of the sanc moon unless the territory can produce some serious income. so all "player made content" will disappear after some time

    2. Scanning results do not get deleted and show l/h for mining units
this will lead to ALL really valuable tiles being claimed within the first 24h after demeter goes live, as it is really easy to identify  the most powerful tiles for mining units if you have containers full with scanner results.
so after day 1, the fun is over and the "mega tiles" will be claimed by those players/orgs that have all the existing scans.

NQ, as demeter is balanced on the PTS, it would kill the game if it goes to the live server

    - New players some days later would not have a chance to find income opportunities despite missions.
    - earning quanta will be a lot harder, so people would stop spending.. this would kill industrialists workflow.
    - the imbalance between experienced players/orgs and new players would get worse and even more players would demand a wipe or simply not enjoy the game

    please reconsider your decisions.

    Hagbard.

I never enjoyed these too much outside elements. I see ships with 100 wings n stuff, so unrealistic, engine walls that are ugly, entire sides of ships full with retrobrakes.
I mean, they put in voxelmancy to make beautiful ships, and then we have to uglyfy them with those elements.

I pretty much can throw away my newly designed ship, and I think DU creators needs a complete overhaul because of this DEATHMETER update

With the new changes to the brakes and having to be outside of a ship now, our ships are going to look even goofier. There is no reason that our ships should have to have 30 atmo engines, 50 brakes and 100 wings to fly, that makes zero sense and any space ship you see online, in the movies or other games don't look as goofy as the ships do in DU. They really need to adjust the power of each of these items (thrust, lift, braking) so we can make more realistic and actually good looking ships.

I am afraid that this type of change in production is a game killer for smaller groups and solo players. The use of schematics will force smaller groups into having to buy everything with no real way of making money, to feed the mega corps. that can afford to be the producers. It seems everything in this game is getting more and more slanted to the idea of mega corps. with character specialization as the vehicle to that end. I don't see much of a future of new players entering into a game that promotes individuality, but then restricts the individual and small groups of part time players in participating out side of a larger group. Our little group of 5 active players see no future in continuing in this game with the direction it is heading...

this is going to confer another massive advantage to the big orgs that have been running their giga factories non stop.  You're making it impossible for single players and small orgs to progress.  If it becomes so tedious to do anything alone, I'll just move on to another game.  That will be 4 paying accounts gone.

A change like this requires a wipe or you remove any semblance of parity from the game.  warp beacons are now completely out of reach for small orgs.

Without a wipe, the players/orgs with billions of quanta already will not even notice these changes while the average single player and small org will be hamstrung.  I'm not in favor of this change and will probably stop playing if it goes the way I think it will.

I feel like the first thing you should try is to remove the market bots and see what happens to the economy naturally...  then make adjustments.  This kind of wholesale change to the way the game works without wiping will just give the dominant orgs even more advantage.

    Make the game fun again!

Mining endlessly and then waiting days or weeks for one component to cook is unacceptable and made me quit recently.

    Fuel usage is also ridiculous.

    Components are too big.

    How to fix these issues:
    - Add some kind of mining laser for ships so we can mine veins fast.
    - Reduce time to make components.
    - Make fuel more affordable, people living on Alioth are spending more ore to fuel than crafting. Fuel should be very easy and cheap to craft, even rocket fuel since we're using 1000x more rocket fuel for one trip.
    - Balance components so we don't need so many for one ship. Ships look like pill of elements.
