  1. So if i manage to sell you stuff worth 10 h for 1000h is that PvP too? How far are you going to run with this term? I'm still waiting for a game which dealt with it.
  2. WoW? Nope, it can happen. Albion? Nope, it can happen. Lineage? Sure it can happen. Here is said truth - if you ever thought it couldn't happen in MMO game - you were either deceived or ignorant. I don't know any game where guild leader allowed access to guild bank and yet theft could not happen. Even all PvE games I know haven't dealt with it. Please enlighten me which game dealt with it and have any form of guild bank or storage. This is not pvp. This is stealing. There is no fighting involved. You are safe if you are not stupid or too trusting. If we are going to unleash consequences for this, i'm waiting for the moment we start banning "unfair" trades. The ONLY reason any game i listed would start dealing with it if this would involve exploits. But that is different story.
  3. Umm, "easy" way in is to apply to one of big corporations? Usually those corps (at least 50+ members) are not allowing scammers inside. But yeah, I understand the problem.
  4. https://clips.twitch.tv/CredulousNurturingOstrichPupper Really? Industry nerf as main focus?!
  5. Ummm.... Yeap, its complete waste? I don't think more than dozen people ever bought those ships... All the ships I see ever are custom build. Much better to buy ships from players (you trust).
  6. That may be a known issue. Assuming you haven't tried: logout, clear cache. login in, check if its back in container / still pending in metalwork. I had similar cases where stuff didn't properly register because of sync issues. Download clear state from server helped. If not, do what @GraXXoR say.
  7. Can you please describe it with little bit more information? Assembly has bugged out and didn't produce it while consuming material or something else happen? I never notice such bug so i'm quite interested in what i should look out for.
  8. Yeap. Sure he did. I will actually worry about it if he will rampage through properly crewed, equally experienced pvp ready ships with this setup. As far as i know his kills are mostly just "i have no idea what i'm doing" random guys. Most of them probably afk while coasting between planets so you could probably kill them without alts, just switching seats often enough. Correct me if i'm wrong please.
  9. The closest this game come to p2w is with multiple alts with multiple talent branches leveling at the same time. But multiboxing? Rotfl.
  10. Dual.sh has a calculator for what you need to get ship out of atmo - not sure about how accurate myself but people were using it. Beside that you can see weights in the crafting menu. If you want to calculate it yourself - F = m*a works mostly but get complicated with atmo density changing engines and lift efficiency. Also g force change with height.
  11. I plan hauler by total weight and volume designed under full load. Weight to carry tells you how much engines you need, volumes to carry tells you how much containers. I don't see here info what type of containers you have and what number. Also you are missing vertical boosters (or hover) - if this is only atmo than hovers are kind of nearly okey - but not really cause you have space tank either way. If atmo and no atmo - than you need vertical boosters. Number again depends on total weight (ship and cargo).
  12. You even have "steal" button if you are member of more than 1 org. There is no ban on it. There is no ban at all on dragging stuff / repairing cores inside pvp zone. The only thing they banned is abusing exploits in safe zone. SAFE zone.
  13. Well, history will tell as they say We disagree on interpretation of the same facts so yeah, discussion won't get us anywhere, we will see how it goes.
  14. Because I don't know any which solved it. Rust? Hell no. Eve? Not really, no. Atlas? No. Ark? Hell no. Which game has actually solved it?
  15. Nope. Lets assume corp ABC will piss me off. They can kill me 100 times, but if i'm pissed enough, I will be coming back. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. And again. They won't be able to prevent it. Only kill me times and times again. And i won't care. I will just keep coming back. And I will be cheeping out things from them. Again and again. The only thing what you will be able to do is to not lose more than you get by killing me. The only "positive" results they can achieve is stalemate. Edit: I hope nobody create "ABC" corp xD no connections to anything in game or outside are intended
  16. Sorry man, but either you miss understand my post or trying to put tail on head or something. I replied to specific person, stated where we differ and show my feeling on the fundamental thing we differ on. Anything else is your over-interpretation.
  17. Here is the sad truth - self moderated irl societies works because if person piss everyone off enough, someone will finally kill/inprison that person and remove him from society for good. In DU the only one thing capable of removing unwanted but determine person is NQ. This means unless NQ do something chaos monger will always prevail and best one can hope for is "not loosing" to him. So in short we are missing crucial tool for building society and civilization - tool to remove unwanted members. No space will ever be even consider "safe".
  18. Good summary of what i was thinking
  19. Yeah, lets prepare the waters for Eve warfare motto "i will be fing you up so long that you leave the game" -.- Letter of law above spirit of law and so on. I got you. But i disagree with you on most fundamental level. For me its simple. If someone is a dick just to be a dick, that person should be kicked out. If someone is a dick and squirts game mechanics boundaries to f someone up he should be kicked. No society should tolerate such person. Kick him before he kicks other people out of game for no other reason than to have satisfaction of "winning" by any way possible.
  20. I will defend NQ on this one - partially. Enough people argued for "this is fine" both on forum and discord - that i understand why the waters get so muddy that they decide not to punish people. It pisses me off too, but i do understand logic behind it. True test will be first report which will come after this announcement. The biggest problem i see is time they needed to react to that. If this is what we are going to expect in future - so "not on the list than fine" and week or longer to add to the list - this game for long months will be trolls feast.
  21. Guys, it really depend on how much time one can play : ) I totally get you - 20 dolars is really cheap - price for good indie game, far cry from AAA. But still if one have an hour or two a day 3 days of week, monthly subscription is bad idea (not to mention that playing DU is bad idea too in this case ? ). Same if you are short of cash to spend on throwaway thing, especially when you don't even know if game will be playable on your machine. Or is playable enough to spend dozens of hours - not everyone can stomach all the missing qol stuff of beta and could be turn away after few hours after all. With current economy i wouldn't ever assume that 20 dollars is easy to come by for everyone.
  22. Finally. Hopefully nobody will be able to muddy waters again enough to get away without consequences in future ?
  23. You bought ship which has no easy access to core in case it need repairing - without knowing the ship (and I don't know any premade ships from vendor) - we can't tell you where the core is. Because you can't see it, it has to be either embedded in voxels, or otherwise hidden behind something. Only thing i can tell you is that core is somewhere. Every ship has to have one. There is no exception.
