  1. Nor can any ship you grinded your way to buying as most all ships are DRM protected.
  2. So what happens when there is a new bug that creates DAC duplication? A lot of the chatter and reasoning I see from NQ is around a wipe being a cure all to sins/bugs/exploits of the past... Problem is these are not sins of the past they are the realities of running a live service based game and all I see so far is that if something happens post release the answer is to just wipe the game as that has been the answer in the past.
  3. NQ can sort out the details of how but this approach that I have advocated for before seems to address most of the points of view on both sides of this matter. Make the gate take 180 days. This gives new player 6 months or more all by themselves.
  4. I think having a dispenser GUI for personal and org owned dispenser management would rock. Let me mange all personal or org owned dispensers from one screen. Let me do everything outside stocking them from here. Maybe this could be the player market and part of the market UI we have today.
  5. Still see the basic pro wipe comments as: I feel like I would be behind in a game that has no win condition. I feel like people before me took advantage of the state of the game before this current version and I feel like I would be behind. Both of these reasons will not and cannot be addressed via a wipe. Maybe short term but give it a year and both matters are back. I guess anyone that agrees to this pro wipe reasoning should just support a wipe every X days and stop asking for a one time event that changes nothing.
  6. Made a post a bit back about how NQ needs to really make a process to best gage how much fun they are adding or subtracting with game elements. This is game, we play for fun, why the devs would ever work on stuff that subtracts our fun is beyond me. You make a great point here this time and effort could have been placed on other things. I bet you would have much much more wanted a core to core transfer unit or a update to transfer units where we can make sorting systems.
  7. I'm against a wipe as no one has given a reason for why or how anything would be different than today 18 months post a wipe. I will happily support a wipe if there was a reasonable why provided.

  9. Not sure being jelly of others is any reason to wipe. Today it is missions, yesterday it was schematics, last year it was mega nodes, in the NDA days it was REDACTED... In two years from now there will be another long list of things people did to push an advantage to the max. I hope people stop trying to think they can win at game that has no win condition and just play and have fun.

  11. It would be super fun if we could get mega nodes on asteroids. Make them rare but possible. The game loop of exploring for a mega was a super fun loop. Players really want the possibility to hit a huge score it keeps them engaged longer. Mega nodes where that in DU and some fun went with them. Mining a mega node over the week the asteroids is in game would bring this lost fun back.
  12. I hope fun is or becomes a absolute requirement to any game additions or changes. A simple method to gage if this change is adding fun or removing it should exist for every game adjustment.
  13. Please do not wipe. Release with a new star system. Give existing players Helios access as we have today with no immediate way to get to the new system. Start new players on the new system (maybe let them pick in case they have friends in Helios). Provide a star gate type tech with a 90-180 day total craft time. Connect the systems months after release.
  14. Have not seen a good reason to wipe yet. Every reason I seen will exist 12 months post release wipe or not. I want to hear from the Pro Wipe folks!
  15. They did that the moment they released PvP... They made if lock and fire. Totally understand and support why. I just love I mean love the ability to make voxel weapons like torpedo's or missiles. That was my favorite part of Space Engineers. They did a recent warfare update so good to see NQ giving the PvP pillar more love.
  16. Nice to see! I sure hope there is some lore alignment and the mechanical aspects have snowballing consideration. If the loop is capture the flag or king of the hill the reward should not make you win next timer easier.
  17. Best thing to help the reason for this thread would be... Many more options to allow us to make game content and quests/missions. In DU you the player create the content. We need much more tools to create this type of content.
  18. Still getting details. Appearing like some core slots are not showing up when aligned to a org. Right now we are assuming it is the super legate's core slots doing this. Some people are seeing a - number.
  19. A PvP hold objective needs to be carefully considered from a snowballing effect.
  20. Appears like Super Legates giving core slots to their org needs a bit of a review.
