  1. A wipe would result in a subscription loss that you cannot fathom. I'm not mining for a month straight again to rebuild the factory. F that.
  2. Vote is trash due to lack of detail - I want power for construct weapon systems - but not as a means of limiting industry.
  3. Literally the same thing gets said about Minecraft. And EVE is Excel in Space. Elite Dangerous is Poop Hauling Simulator. You can make some extremely simplistic generalist judgment about most games with intent to make them look uninteresting. I absolutely agree that in the current state vital core elements of the game are simply missing based on what the premise of the game was. I do not agree that what is there is not a gameplay loop that will keep some people playing for years to come even with no additions. There is certainly a carrot, and that is building more and more and more - that may not be a carrot you want to chase, and that's fine, but it's certainly there.
  4. First and foremost - there is no Wikipedia encyclopedic article page for Griefing - the entry that DOES exist is an essay on conduct policy and is an OPINION piece - and an entirely uncited one - frankly if not for that disclaimer it would be candidate for speedy deletion. Just like your definition of this being 'text book griefing' is an opinion. It was in fact theft of ship. That is what it was. There is no way around THAT definition of it. If that theft of ships was done with intent to grief other players as opposed to just plain old theft is very much up to debate.
  5. I fundamentally disagree with you that stealing a ship is griefing. Do you think org theft is griefing?
  6. LOL Dude probably still has an alt in the corp he stole from and is soaking up the drama for more lulz. Amazing.
  7. If the victim of the theft is willing to demand public justice, I am all for it. That is after all how some eve wars start but its kind of pointless in a game that is effectively pve at this point. The loot is gone and there is no retaliation possible.
  8. You do not have to have a claimed tile. Just drop a core and strap containers to it and do not share it with the org that you are stealing from. There is no recourse. What are they going to do? Push it off the tile? Oh no.....
  9. Why lift off the planet? You just need to dump it into a tile or construct that is not org shared. You steal core, place core and make it not shared, dump containers on core, put loot in containers, you won. This isn't eve where to steal you had to also get your loot OUT of 0.0 space to really succeed.
  10. Congratulations - but to be fair currently theft is stupidly easy. Claim tile next to the org, steal their containers and hubs, plop them down, link to hubs loot everything into your links, claim victory.
  11. I agree with much of what you said. I do not agree with you on the wipe... Or that NQ should touch industry. They are attempting to fix an economy where there are no consumers by reducing producers. Until elements are destroyed entirely the economy will not work.
  12. It's not though. Not In the current setting. Nevermind that there is so little pvp. Pvp right now is only a sink for honeycomb, scrap and space fuel.
  13. I never suggested same punishment. Either way, this is a moot point as NQ has already stated that they will not punish for this retroactively. My point is that if NQ is going to start punishing for exploits - it can't JUST be this one because selectively applying the policies to some cases of exploitation and entirely turning a blind eye to others is hardly just.
  14. So you agree that we should punish all crimes? Cause that's what my point is.
  15. I'd rather he did - but lets compromise - he should post half as much....
  16. Such insults do seem very.....dishonorable. What would your CO think!?
  17. I dunno - but can we agree to disagree?
  18. You know what NAVY stands for? Never Again Volunteer Yourself. I spent 5 years with NAVSEA and learned my lesson. It's ironic when you post about being an adult when you clearly have not grown up enough to shake yourself free of absurd childish idealism.
  19. Stop, I can't breathe, you're killing me, I'm laughing so hard - you're greifing me with your absurd posts - please stop griefing me - have some honor....
  20. I don't think he really had the answers for the questions asked beyond voxel editors... I don't want to rip on the guy, he clearly had a lot of answers for everything voxel related and was on the ball there...but should have kept his mouth shut about everything else - and to be fair the streamer should have known better than to ask in the first place. Like - loading speed just being a technology issue and will get better as technology improves? Really? That's your plan? Wait a decade till we are all on gigabit? That's not an option unless you intend to release your game in a decade. Finally - the streamer basically called pvp griefing - which is absurd. It's in no way the case. Nevermind questions like "What about players who aren't interested in pvp at all?" - Uhh - pick a game that has no pvp component? Stay in the safe zone? What are you asking that isn't already clear? "What about players who don't like pvp...." Give me a break.... Edit: Oh and also - Industry is pretty much the only thing in this game that currently works well. So perhaps strapping more constrains and tedium on the only working piece of your game is not the best idea...
  21. You can and should. I suggest setting up a small base at each, just a few crates, refinery and chem processor so you can the very least make space fuel. Ideally you will want a scanning rig at each planet so that you can scan down mega nodes and then move your base to them, mine them out, move base...repeat... Do not build your main base on sactuary. Leave that trap asap. The inability to mine unclaimed tiles on sanc is a major disadvantage.
  22. 1 free TCU per planet per player. 2nd TCU per planet per player is 120, then 480, then 1,080.... So you should by all means try to place a TCU on every planet as it will only cost you the cost of the TCU which you can buy for less than the 'free' 100k you get daily. After 7 days you can move your TCU.
