This is just not one of them by any stretch of the imagination, and it violates the promises made about the game, particularly about being able to play solo or with friends, or however the individual player wants. If you want to play with other people so much that you have to coordinate between dozens/hundreds of them to produce enough stuff to make anything mid-high tier, then you can play that way. Don't suggest that we all be forced to. If it does happen, I can guarantee that a lot more people (than in previous updates) will either boycott until it's reversed, or quit entirely. Instead, of easily judging someone's words, have guts to give your own better suggestion, that won't be judged by cruel crowd, can't? - I have read your 6 lines of text to understand that your post has nothing constructive. We have a few guys on factory-duty because they are skilled for it, a few guys on ship-element placement because they are skilled for it, and a whole lot on mining/piloting/gunning, because they are skilled for it. Given the current complexity of industry and the amount of quanta required to set up the enormous chains required for factories to produce the more complex or higher tier items, major factories are typically (though not always) group-projects, and do not require an additional set of skills or other limitations to force them to be such. Thank you, next. Dakanamer's post was relatively harshly worded, but he is still entitled to disagree that the proposed limitation is needed. More to the point though if you intend to call someone out for the tone of their post, please be sure that you are not responding to them in a poor tone yourself. I love having people like you. I do totally agree we need an instrument, - We have seen industry without limits ( result: everyone do it for themselves, market trades only ore ). P.S. I by numbers were not bad: you don't want spending 20k points for growing your industry? - ok, go trade with others. That is the plan. I totally agree, we need to have a feedback to not-beneficial option, ONLY in case, you can offer/observe an alternative solution. Likely would increase character data bloat to, if anything, would be better to make industrial components needed aside from making end production items. Maybe even replace/repurpose scrap to work on voxel damage only and require components to repair final production items. Add wear and tear to a reasonable degree to all item, industrial AND ship.
