Valygaroddik
Hi all, so now i'm at that stage of game that i'll need t3 and better ores to starting making a warp drive. Actually i'm trying to mine Pyrite on Thades, but it seems that is very tought to find it. I digged an hole 900m depth and digged a 4 tunnels (One going Nord, one south etc) 2km long each, but it seems that it didn't help. So anyone of you have some suggestion about findind T3 ores or better? Than k you! Nodles
Megaddd
Territory scanners are a great boon to finding higher tier ores. Of all the digging around I found one pyrite blob, but depth on Thades is very variable because the actual surface (that the ore depth is calculated from) can start anywhere from -1500m to 3000m, which complicates matters. Valygaroddik
Thank you so much! I was already afraid that i had to craft Territory Scanners (these are already expensive for my pockets ) So they will just tell you wich kind of ores are in a single hex? This units don't tell you even at which depth are the ores?
klobber
this is a list of Ore depths (relative from surface) which was made months ago, most should still be correct.
Anopheles
You'll need to build carefully to fully utilize a Territory Scanner on a ship as it is tall, heavy and thin and will make most ships difficult to fly. I recommend a simple S core + shape with M engines and parts and anti gravity (one generator and 6 pods) to gracefully float from 1 hex to the next. Plan some nanocrafting too as there's a 15 minute wait for the scan.

AphroditeIX
Are these measurements subtracted from the crust where you stand before digging or a the exact depth? Some surfaces are higher than zero. If the surface is +200 and the depth says 600 is that -400 or -600?
Anopheles
Ore is measured from the surface it's beneath, it's not an absolute depth.

Solo does not mean self sufficient. Self sufficient is by far the slowest for of progression in this game.

So, swings and roundabouts. cticer
