  1. You are apparently under a slight misapprehension. L rockets are T4 the exact same tier as Large Anti Gravity drives that can float a still as yet unreleased 256m XL Dynamic Core without expending energy.
  2. If they are going to pull a stunt like this, at least leave the current materials as "glossy XXXX" and introduce this new nastiness as "aged XXXX"... The original silion panel was a perfect interior paneling solution, this is more alike a public toilet flooring solution... ... by which I mean that this sort of tile would have a definite place in the universe... Just no longer the floor of my org headquarters VIP corridors. I've now got to replace 8000 cubic metres of this shite if they don't implement this as aged and grandfather the old silicon panel as glossy silicon panel. I can only think that they did it purposefully. No way this was an accident. Someone must have gone, "yes, this will do it.. the nastiest most corroded panel of the lot..."
  3. great. My whole range of ships was once made from a coordinated range of luscious golden orange steel, now its apparently made from what I like to call "polished-turd brown". The polished orange steel is hideously bad looking now! whereas red, blue and green still look ok. Also... what happened to my lovely, gleaming Silicon black panel? One of the best high quality looking glossy black flooring options now likes like a homeless man has relieved himself in the corridor and left it to dry rather than use Toilet Unit A. Nah, there are only about 10% of the players still playing... Those abandoned ships are from the 90% that have left. Should Be Fine (TM). ?
  4. Another reset after promising not to.. I can see where you're coming from. but that would probably leave just you and a dozen new players still standing. I like this game, but not enough to suffer a third complete restart. No way I'm restarting from scratch... Not after putting so much effort into building and mining so much... after being promised no restart. That would be it for me. Gone. We were promised no more restarts. Full stop. If I had to restart with no magic blueprints I predict a LOT of people would ragequit. As we know from Battlestar Galactica even if things are restarted, all that has happened before will happen again. But far more pertinently, a restart would not reboot JC.
  5. And a clear all remaining fragments in a node.... Also as FrigaPiggy said above, I want to be able to respec my skills... All the skills like polycarbonate efficiency and Advanced mining efficiency which due to bugs/incompetence/nerfing clearly don't work. Literally millions of SP wasted...
  6. ^^ 100% Only in JC's wildest dreams would anyone say this game is truly in Beta. That's why I call games like this Balphas... Basically Alpha in everything but name.
  7. Jeez, you can pay 10 bucks for a ticket to see something by Shyamalan and be thoroughly disappointed for a mere 90 minutes. Are you going to ask for your money back when you come out because you figured out the man was dead after just 15 minutes? calling 20 bucks for 3 months a scam is just...
  8. @Kelevra142 Madis MP3 is getting fairly well built out. Two orgs are developing northeast and southwest and have linked their bases to the marketplace using dynamic cores to create roads. our org currently has about 6-8 online most days, sometimes more, sometimes a little less. the other org appears to be about twice our size. there are a few independents who are also involved. They sell us parts and ore. we have set aside building zones and other areas for other players to join in. the whole area appears to be changing daily so I’d rate it as active. it’s also nice that we usually see people popping it it when market who come and take a look at our org. We also have a surrogate destination at the top of our tallest tower that seems fairly popular judging by the number of randos that come through every day and buy our ships/building blueprints. why don’t the two do you pop over here and take a look? Friday is the quietest day of the week though so you might want to wait till the weekend. see if you can find the tiny MP3 in this image.
  9. It always boggles my mind why people who clearly hate the game hang around and continue to make post after post. (This is not directed at the OP. ) I have often been critical of NQ and their shenanigans but I still play the game, currently more than any other game in the same genre. I guess that’s because the core members of our org are still enjoying themselves, too, building working “basketball” courts and “golf” courses. pretty parks and huge underground “car” parks. I see the new player’s criticism above and understand where they are coming from but also feel sad that they are unable to overcome those barriers. the mining mechanic is fine for what it is. It is easy to learn and after a few days you can gain a sort of honing sense that lets you find ore super easily. The sensor mechanic is a bit shite when you start, but after a few hours you can skill up to L3 in most of the mining skills and the pain goes away. you don’t need to constantly mine, despite what people tell you here, unless you are working for someone else and they make you, or you are a solo player trying to craft a large construct/factory. the tutorials are not great. But I completed them for the SP boosts which helped the first day or two to get a few more base skills. grinding? I don’t know, if you have mined a few nodes of each of the T1s you’re good to build your first ship. L3 in nanocrafting gets a useful 30% reduction in crafting times. more wings, some hovers a few small containers and small engines. A few more adjusters. Basic space engines S and XS can be made in your nanopack and should be enough for the first foray into space. All of this can be queued in your nanopack while tootling around, mining a bit more or building out your first static core. I have a bunch of alt accounts and I enjoy playing through the first part of the game again and again, trying to reach space in as short as possible a time without using the markets. Or, you know, they could find any one of the still active orgs to join and let them help them. OP mentions that literally every single aspect of DU is shit and calls paying 20 euros or whatever for three month’s access a scam. Even inexplicably refers to the n-word for some bizarre reason. (Non native English speaker judging by the writing, though, so ?‍♂️) It’s likely my age, but I really don’t understand how some people find barriers wherever they look and also get so concerned about graphics, which can actually be very beautiful at times, anyway. All comes across as lack of imagination and vision to some extent. But is more likely just a product of being a member of the COD and Fortnite generation. with all the tutorials out there surely they can figure out the basics. ps. The grind in SU is FAR LESS obnoxious than at the start of NMS - or as many came to call it in 2016: “backpack simulator” the grind in this game is also far less intense than Elite Dangerous which really is entirely grind if you want to progress through the ranks or craft your ship. And graphics? Overrated beyond having the basics. Just look at Cyberpunk 2077!
  10. No not triggered. Takes a looot to trigger an old fart like me. It’s just you of all people calling other people toxic the way you did was funny, that’s all.
  11. I'm not super confident about this game's future... seems NQ have squandered too many opportunities and -as the saying goes- "snatched defeat from the jaws of victory" once too often for my liking. Still, if one wants to feel a bit more positive, or at least hopeful for the future, one only needs to look at NMS for a real life example of (excusing the mixed metaphor) getting-your-shit-together and hitting it out of the park. As a backer of Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous and a prepurchaser of NMS, though, I have seen all of those games be proclaimed "dead" "RIP" "THE END" "That's it, I'm done, and so should you be" by backers and players and I have seen quite a bit of turmoil and controversy these last 7-8 years: both disappointment and elation. Tellingly enough, though, all three games are doing fine right now and moving on to better places... NMS players are basically getting a free new game every 3-6 months. Elite is finally getting legs. Star Citizen is finally getting extra systems and is expanding constantly (both monetarily and in game, lol)... Nobody is a honest-to-goodness soothsayer, since prophets don't and have never existed... nobody knows where this game will be in a year's time or if it will even still exist. But I really do hope they can turn this ship around, though. All I can say is that for the moment, I'm enjoying my game and building our small corner of civilisation.
  12. Oh look, here is the high and mighty Lethys come to dirty and sully himself by mingling with the non-Eve playing cretins, boasting about reinstalling a game he hates and knows he hates because he has 5000 posts saying how much he hates it and how toxic the community it.. But like clockwork, he's here again -for reasons only he knows- to add absolutely nothing of value to the discussion.
  13. YOU wish ME luck? That's rich, mate. You're the one with over 5000+ posts. Not me... I really don't understand why you would waste your time with "toxic" people you are clearly superior to.. (being part -as you are- of the innately and eternally superior EVE community by your own words)... Also, I am having fun playing the *game* on a daily basis. You are the one who clearly thinks it's not a game by paraphrasing it... You really and clearly need to find a hobby rather than trying to belittle everyone. Very sad.
  14. He claims he was semantically correct by insisting selling or buying plex / ISK is illegal. shrug...
  15. Because it never turns ugly in Eve and everyone be gets on like a house on fire. Especially after things like CO2’s gutting and GigX’s meltdown... not the best way to give no fucks: giving out RL beheading threats and getting permabanned. saying Eve community will always be superior to this one is basically just a blanket insult to all the members on this forum, some who have worked hard to make DU better. But yeah, you should probably just go back to Eve since it’s such a bastion of humanity compared to the Mos Eisley that is DU forums.. I don’t even know why you bother to hang around with a group you clearly have zero respect for. Masochistic tendencies, perhaps?
  16. Happy to say I have only been mining once this year... Making shedloads of money selling bloops and spending all my time designing ships and factories. This game has plenty to do if you're not into PVP.
  17. We have two orgs combining more than 6 hexes packed with constructs around Madis MP3 and roads and bridges stretching between them but yeah...by 5k, I presume you mean the height? it's pretty sparse out there.. likely due to 0.23 player number massacre and the fact that ground building materials such as wood and glass have to be f'ken mined.. making them harder and harder to produce in vast quantities due to the declining ore densities and being needed for critical in-game assets such as engines, lasers and toilet seats. Oh, and concrete being the same tier as space engines...
  18. True about their fuel being light... 0.8kg per litre, same as paraffin... But Kergon and Nitron are about 5kg per litre or something like that, IIRC. Basically 1/3 the density of mercury.... LOL. can't help but thinking that those weights were decided during a nerf pass rather than at an actual design session. At least I know why they are T3... the pump required to shovel 1kl/s through an orifice the size of an.... err tight orifice ... must be pretty god-damn amazing.
  19. S and M rockets are Tier 3 and L rockets are T4! I said ages ago they needed to adjust the tiers... T1 ailerons rockets airbrakes and hover T2 atmo, adjusters T3 Space, vertical thrusters, spacebrakes T4 AGG T5 Warp, Teleport pods
  20. Good point. still wonder why they have 1/100 of the fuel efficiency of everything else, though. Does seem a bit excessive.
  21. 2.1Ml per hour cant be right, surely? its only generating 18MN of thrust... this is supposed to be T3 technology and yet its TWO ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE worse than simple T1 space engines. Its like saying paraffin lamps are T3 but OLEDs are T1... What, are they just squirting the unburnt fuel out the back or something?
  22. Lethys refuting he said that he implied I am going to sell quanta in game... and get caught doing it... Lethys literally half a page up...
  23. reflect the reality of the game? Its in the game, people are playing there, its lively... it's as real as any virtual space game in game asset can be... just like freeport, but in space. not sure i understand your "reflect the reality" comment, mate.
