Greetings and well met! Just signed up for the pre-alpha, and am very intrigued to check out DU and get in on it around the ground floor! I'm an avid gamer who spends far too much time of late playing EVE Online (after a hiatus from that game). I am of an era that played MUDDs, the predecessors to MMORPs. Being a gaming addict, I also have the "distinction" of buying my first upgraded computer to be able to play the original Everquest! Some other memorable MMORPs that I've enjoyed include Dark Age of Camelot and Lord of the Rings Online. I'm also a player of board games and tabletop miniature games, and have been in the same Friday night gaming gang for around two decades! In EVE I'm a proud member of the kind and gentle Signal Cartel, which is pacifistic and aids capsuleers (players) stranded in wormspace-- a place where you're doomed to remain unless you have the ability to find an exit out!

Yeah, I understand your point of view, as valid and subjetive as any (including mine).
In my own view, it is not very kind (but the contrary) to mean "I come to take your land, you can join us or leave peacefully (before we use force)".

Morality:
The Federation will be kind to everybody, but if we want/need something we will take it. As an example, if we conquer a territory where somebody lives, we will give its inhabitants a choice: they can leave without getting harmed or they can choose to become a citizen of The Federation Alpha and enjoy all advantages that the federation offers, which should be preferable for them. Jobs that the state will provide, will be well paid and the workers get a free living area in exchange for their work. Our priority is the well-being of our citizen, that everyone is treated the same good way.

I havent played many space games and such. Looking for a smaller org but hopefully bigger than 10 players. I am decent at min maxing builds and what not once I understand the system or build patterns etc. Looking to get back into mmo's or space combat in general.

Hello,
I'm known as Boehm by most people of whom I have played video games with. I've recently found this game this past week, and did 4 hours of research on it just last night. I've been looking for a replacement for the game, Ark: Survival Evolve. Ark: SE was a game i spent nearly 3k hours on, and played with the same tribe for that amt of time. We reached the Alpha title on multiple servers before, and I just loved the mechanics of war, building, and breeding Dino's. I think I mainly felled in love with it cause I could get really nerdy with breeding dinos, I.E; our tribe had the best Quetzals bloodline and Rex Bloodline on our server because of the time I spent on breeding and recording all the generations of breeds I had worked on. 
Wild Card, the Development team for that game, started putting in updates that became very bitter in my mouth, and showed me that they did not care about their old players anymore, so I stopped playing the game along with my Tribe mates, whom I spent 3 years playing with. 
So, I look forward to playing this game, have a couple friends in mind that i want to invite to help me with an idea I have that will allow us to be a bit nerdy again, but not for breeding, but for making very thought out ships for others to use and buy from. 
My occupation is in the US Marine Corps in Ground Electronics Maintainer as my MOS, I have a friend who is a Engineer who may be joining me in this journey. So I don't see why we couldn't succeed at making potentially good ships that are flexible to the needs of the buyers. 
 
I hope this game comes true to it's promises!

I thought I'd say hello since I finally decided to make an account and support the game financially instead of just watching from afar. Not to mention I need to post at least once for moderator approval.
 
Dual Universe so far looks like a game I'd love to play. I'm pretty excited for it so far and I want to keep a close eye on the development and see how it progresses.

i´m Lyria and glad to be part of you. Years ago i saw this game in a preview and i still love it.
I´m a german player who loves to design and build up some wonderful places (i wish there would be a chance to make an artgallery ingame ) i don´t know anything about space and spaceships but i will learn

Nope, no further discussions needed. Everyone can present their org as they wish, and if that's a dictatorship or democracy doesn't need the approval of the community. If they play du from "kneel or leave" approach - wobderful. If that'll work or not is another topic, but we don't need to talk about that "in the community"
 
That being said, I talked to ginger on discord an he's a fine dude. So if this org fits your playstyle, talk to him

But hey, it's only semantics and I agree with Vyz Ejstu: ask ginger about it - it's his org and guess what: sometimes things mean different things in diffrtrnt languages......

The people of Alioth and beyond have the right to ask  _Ginger_ what he intends by his post. They also have the right to join or leave any organisation as they please. 
 
As you can see, my eyes are covered. I must have missed any question marks in your previous posts on this topic. Nonetheless, if there were no questions asked and just statements made by you, there are more civilised ways to initiate conversations without sounding belligerent. 
 
@_Ginger_ On the other hand, blazemonger is right: presidency is a function of democracy. Where you have an autocratic president, you have a failed democracy. Is your organisation a role playing one, or do you mean to infer that the president has more powers than he would have in real life?

Imho a dictatorship is the only way to achieve things ingame. You need ppl who have the last word and decide upon things otherwise you don't get anywhere when jimmy wants to go to war but johnny wants to defend the city
