I would prefer the battlestar galactica FTL jump approach. Technically its a instant jump that can only have a certain distance into "known" space. that maybe with additional modules or training could get bigger, and there is a CD on the jump after arriving what could be a nice strategic addition. -

there are pro's and con's. But in the end probably nuking a city will be one of the reasons NQ stated they will not have them. Not everyone will come back after their home was nuked and in the end its a game that needs revenue. -

fully agree, there is no reason to stick the most explosive element of your vehicle on the outside, there should be some exit/entry port.
