  1. nobody force you, nobody. We got fighter class you know ? It got one pilot but can shot multi weapon on it. If you dislike the big ship because you found it boring, you can choose to be a fighter pilot where you are the only pilot and can do everything you want. And of course fighter class wont have the fire power equal with the big, strong, tank battle ship. But dont worry, each type will have it own power. Fighter will easy to flight and much faster than a battle ship. So what i want to say that nobody force you to do anything. If you want team work you will got it, if you dont, you also have your way. Remember teamwork always better than a solo one ( unless you are very good ) so dont hope so much about one small vessel beat a much bigger vessel. If you got beated because of that remember dont blame the dev force you to teamwork, that is your fault for not understand what your vessel can do.
  2. Happy new year !!! Well i hope i'm not the only Asian (i'm Vietnamese ) who got this new year event now. My country called it Tet Event but well, the World called it Lunar New Year. Wish for a good next year for DU, NQ and everyone :).
  3. dont worry, every claim title will have maintain cost so they cant just claim and let it abandon ( maintain for Claim Territory Unit ). But the chance for them to claim a lot of ' low value resource land ' is low and disadvantage in long term.So basically most big org just claim enough land in Safe Zone for their city, base, ...
  4. Yeah it broke but i think Aaron have idea that construct which abandon should be able to salvage into raw material. Well @Aaron_Cain We got the "De-Own" system which NQ explain that if a player inactive for too long, they will send warning email ( a lot of them ) to the player before "de-own" active. After that the building official abandon and you can salvage it or keep it as your new house who know =]]/
  5. Maybe in wrong box, it need to change to general discussion . But well for your answer: Yes, they can. If they have enough human resource, resource and can be stability ( like good organize your org to prevent corruption ) and unity why they cant ? But it is very hard to keep unity and stability when you go to that point lmao.

  7. Well so bad DU is not the "most mmorpg" . There will be pet for founder donation but they are pure cosmetic . Well automation attack/defend via LUA script from a dynamic construct from i hear isnt possible. You may can only give basic command like : Go there, Follow me, Stay.
  8. WEll you can make high energy food so you dont have to often, you just spend 30s to eat an energy bar to work another 24 - 48 hour. It will while fun for you to caculate the amount of basic food for long day trip. That is the purpose of outpost station where not only reflll your fuel tank but also your other stuff and sell your stuff of course but i think you would rather bring it to big market to sell it. Well yeah resource on each planet will sure different. But most of all, DEAD/BIOTIC planet dont have oxygen and source of food for you. While on biome planet (or also the BIOTIC PLANET ) you can grow food, and they have confirm animal will be there to grow too. Animal product can use for food, bio product, plastic maybe ?, some kind of Oil , ... And plant product for oxygen maybe ? For bio product, oil, medicine, ... so i dont think it is bad, it make some player to be a FARMER !!! you can read here to know more about FARMER idea. Well maybe unique planet will be some factor here. But we cant deny the possible that there will be abandon planet ... but have too see how reward & risk will work out in DU.

  10. Well you will got basic survival factor here like : Food, maybe water, and may even disease, or maybe oxygen factor too. But dont hope that will appear when the game launch, they say they will implement it but dont know when because it isn't their priority. Maybe they add food first then ? You can imagine a city in siege and people got starve to die, it is consider in strategic move lmao.
  11. Well like Lethys said: safe zone will be vast and claim unit will cost too much to build one. But i dont think sign for joining org at begining is bad thing. I personaly think that it might be best way for newbie. Org provide them safe, food, knowledge, experience, job and exchange you work for them. And after a time when you get used to the game UI and mechanic you can keep working for them or quit and do what ever you want. I dont say i agree force newbie into one way but you know, something might better than you think. Of course who want solo still can be, it still freedom but that you have to got some knowledge about the game first then you can do it. After all newbie is the most important resource, the back bone of the entire DU.
  12. Cant loose by force but lost due the "de-own" system. Because if the title dont de-own how people can salvage the construct which build in there right ? Also the TU to claim it will be very expensive and one man army cant get it ( or you can buy it with RL money ). If it is a Garage then the trustworthy - not trustworthy system will come in handy ( this system not something Dev will make, i just give the tile system so it can be easily understand ), i will store my ship at someone who can trust if i off for a long time. Lucky Dev also have confirm about mechanic which will give you ability to make giant door ( like a garage door ) so i think Garage will be much handy. Beside i cant park my ship at a space station for too long, the owner will sure not happy when a ship park too long without any fee, even with fee you will make them lost somewhat potential customer who cant go in their space station because of FULL. So Garage is best choice.

  14. Very nice. I hope their solution will work and balance. I hope their way to solve this "hard problem" will create even more freedom and emergent gameplay. Love to be a banker and a Garage owner. The feeling of crowd station where even you dont need to go there but you have to park your ship there to protect it while there isnt anywhere is safe ( not count safezone , like far far away from safezone ). I love to see the crowd station, ship park and people everywhere. This is why i love DU, i can have my hope in here that the crowd i see not AI, souless AI in any game i have see. A real station, real crowd, i hope to see that real.
  15. Tks for information, is this what they confirm ? Because if ship not de-own many of people will dock/park their ship or maybe entire org fleet at safezone and take all space. I do hope the "de-own" system also apply for the dynamic like ship, Garage owner will have job to do :)) Umu if ship can despawn i think it will broke the game when you only need to hide enough of time and boom your ship is despawn. Okay thanks for this even new information. But i hope it will not despawn. The feeling of rage when you are hunt down someone and they just despawn before you can even shot their ship.
  16. I didnt know that our ship can despawn ? Can you give me some source about it. If it true it will make a lot of different in my plan. Well no you are not. In safe zone but with "de-own" system i dont think it perfect safe. Or "de-own" system only target static construct ?
  17. What i'm excited for DU ? I'm not so sure, it can be: _ How newbie will be treat in the late of game. _ How newbie will be use in grand strategy and long term strategy. _ Drama. _ How will DU be, what shape will it be, that curious me the most. _ What people will make in DU : Create WAR, HELL, WASTELAND or Building CIVILIZATION, CITY, NATION, EMPIRE, CONSTRUCT, TOWER, small thing to GRAND THING.

  22. The chance to be scam and the 100% lost your property. I will choose the first. But as you say trustworthy people , not trustworthy people also appear of course. All you have to do is choose who is the most trustworthy to store your thing, your element, material, and the so. But i think the scam will be consider in "emergent gameplay" isnt it ? It will give people more freedom, to be whatever they want like politic, miner, explorer, fighter, solider, worker,...
