While I'll be taking a break from writing lore, I have decided to employ what tiny spare time I have left on something else. 
 
We've seen a lot of organisations spring up in the last few months and a lot of them are in need of a good logo, signature, banner and perhaps some text to give the organisation in question some solid footing. 
 
This is something I'll be doing personally: sans Aether, TRANCE, or Outpost Zebra. 
 
What does the Premium Content Pack contain? 
 
A tailored Photoshop logo for your organisation - mostly created from scratch. It will be unique and I assure you, you won't find it anywhere else on the internet.
 
A signature image. All the cool organisations have it (mine included), why not yours? 
 
A profile image (mostly a combination of the logo or something else within my power). Some organisation leaders love their organisations so much, they take it upon themselves to carry the face of the organisation everywhere. Besides, it is a perfect idea for an army of identical alts. 
 
A banner or an Ad artwork. A few organisations have websites of their own and we all know every organisation with a website has a banner that goes along with it. So, if you are in need of a 1024px or greater banner, that's included as well. 
 
Some background lore text. I love writing and I couldn't resist the temptation to include this in here. Granted: I will not be writing a book for your organisation. Rather, it is some text of your choosing and setting that gives your organisation a lot more life than a basic description and a picture. No great nation is without a history. 
 
 
You get five different items in a single pack and all of them are tailored to your demands. Sounds good, no?

P.S. Kindly note that I am not competing with anyone to make logos. It's an idea I had a few weeks back but, lacked the right opportunity to make a solid offer. If you do make logos or work with Photoshop and you'd like us to work together, I'm more than open to collaboration. I've made logos for other organisations and most of the Aether artworks are products of my spare time and Photoshop skill. I'll be doing some more Photoshop works for the Aether and I think this a perfect opportunity to do more with less time.

Hello everyone, this is Shockeray, GM of Soul Nebula.
 
After waiting for an updated version of the original community map to show itself on the forums for a long time, I finally took it on myself to create my own up-to-date version. After a lot of original set up, my method now requires little time and almost non-existent server strain, allowing me to refresh it many times a day if there ever was a reason to. Due to my limited knowledge of this type of undertaking, TheGreatSardini helped me with the start up. Unless I missed one, this map should contain every organization with at least two members.
(Although Graph Commons may not be the best available method of displaying this node map, it is the best that I have found available to the public.)

How do I put this... Uhhh...
Some of them look like you searched "cool design logos" and put them together in MS Paint.
If not, disregard my post.

I agree with Kurotou, they do look a little basic. Get creative with it and show us what you can do with PhotoShop

I also agree. They are a bit basic, but they are well put together. Like Kael said: get creative and make something unique!  

They need more "contrasting" colors. Something bold, colorful, and purposeful.
White and Blue/Red are great for symbols in general, but not for stripes.
Red and Blue are "meh" for symbols (but pay-off so much if used correctly), but alternatively really good for patterns/stripes.
Again, this is of course opinionated but you're using more Pale colors instead of bold and vibrant.

Ohmygod. Imagine accidentally landing on an planet, which puts the planet in quarantine due to a variant of this that caused disease.
But this is a game. I'd think having flying cubes would also be sorta cool.

Hopefully there would be an ecosystem for wildlife everywhere. Hopefully the usual foodchain with a few cool additions (radiation-feeders, detoxifying organisms, explosive/volatile creatures, ect)

Although I'm fairly sure many of you know already, I'd like to point out that life can indeed survive in outer space. Since survival, life and existence aren't synonymous it doesn't necessarily help the topic, but in terms of sci-fi, we can make something out of it.


Tardigrades are able to survive in the vacuum of outer space and under pressure six times greater than that on the highest pressure on earth (deepest part of the Mariana Trench) and temperatures from 1K to 400K. 
 

 
These little critters are practically immortal, they can also survive radiation hundreds of times greater than the dose lethal to humans and they can go 30 years without food and water. They can live anywhere on earth, including volcanos, Antarctica and even underwater and in the deep sea. To be fair, they enter a phase of paralyzed / dried-up / cryosleep kind of state when in extreme situations, so they aren't essentially alive in the deepest sense.

But if life like this exists on earth already, a science-fiction universe can create an exo-planet in which evolutionary processes are just slighlty more advanced (slightly in terms of evolutionary scales) that bring forth similar, extremely resistant creatures that have adapted to life in extreme environments and may just hold some of their organic functions similar to how whales stop their breathing underwater. The concept of the space whale is overall not too unrealistic.

So this is just a random question and idea, but what about life....in space itself.
 
 
 
 
I took this idea from the Star Wars series to start off with.When people are in space in these movies there are creatures in space itself off of the planets, (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Space-borne_creatures) I really liked this idea because it seems very realistic, because there could actually be creatures in space. Research Projects done by the institute are loosely supervised, we monitor the projects to make sure they do not get out of hand, besides that, you are free to do what you like. While Horizon does focus in scientific research, we also require a Security detail/corps to protect assets and scientists within the institute. And then there is the head counsel, Horizon will be controlled by 5 people, a decision can only be reached when the majority have the vote, We will make the dealings, hand out payments, and hire the workers.
 
 
Research Corps
The research corps is the main sector within The Institute, they focus on projects of their own. the only thing is though, when someone finishes a project they must turn it into the Horizon Counsel, they will review it and give the approval for the project. As long as your project isn't hurting people, illegal...ish, or killing people, your project will always be accepted,
 
Security Corps
They defend the area were the scientists work, since we will most likely be in a city, we do not need a full on military, the security corpse will defend the lab with the scientists if we become under attack. Security corpse will be payed the same as scientists, price is negotiable.
